Having traveled from the Brook many times, the blind woman decided to stick in the borders this time and would find herself in a clearing near her den. She knew these lands like the back of her hand and knew that her den - though surrounded by trees - had a clearing behind it and so it would be here that Ygritte would begin her digging. Ears twisting as she listened to the creatures that were surrounding her and their noises. Her noise picked up all the scents and her toes wiggled in the dirt that she slowly and patiently dug up in rut forms. +5 Create a garden of healing herbs 1/2

as life wore on, nymeria felt blessed to be able to watch her children grow and prosper. each day brought something new and enriching to her life, and, if anything, the druid knew that so long as they were happy, she would be happy, too. it was for that reason that she carefully followed the trail of @Ygritte's perfume, light steps carrying nymeria down the familiar trails of their home in gentle, curious pursuit of her daughter. ygritte had grown so much and was evolving into a beautiful and kind young woman -- and yet still, the valour could still vividly remember that first day together upon the beach, finding it hard to believe that it had happened so long ago. a small part of her wished to keep her children small and well-protected beneath her shadow, but nymeria knew that that was no way for them to live.

chuffing softly as she approached as to not startle the princess, she would look to slid easily up alongside ygritte, her eyes falling upon the soil carved beneath her paws. "what are you up to today?" she inquired warmly, happy to spend some quality time with her eldest daughter, and forget about the rest of the world for a ltitle while.

Focused on what she was doing, though her ears twisted on top of her ears, Ygritte was not aware of her mother following behind her yet. The scent of herbs was fresh compared to the lavender that @Nymeria carried. Not to mention that Ygritte was trying very hard to creature a trail for her herbs to be buried in so that they can bloom. But when her mother's voice hit her ears, it caused her to stop and lift her head up, tilting it towards her mother's scent and voice. I want to make a garden for the herbs I've been collecting. I want to be a medic like Aunt Talisa. She would voice, grinning from ear to ear. It wasn't like she'd be able to fight anyways.

once her presence had been acknowledged by @Ygritte, nymeria would look to place a soft, gentle nuzzle atop her daughter's head in greeting, hoping to revel in the plush of her fur and the familiarity of her scent. life had been somewhat hectic as of late, and as they were all left reeling from equal parts chaos and loss, the queen wanted to make sure that her family still remained in high spirits, and that they were doing the best that they can to keep one foot in front of the other.

instinctively, nymeria's eyes brightened at the princess' explanation of today's activities, tail wafting gently behind her figure, as her attention shifted back towards the soon-to-be garden. "i think that sounds lovely," she cooed warmly, taking another step closer before dropping her haunches to the earth. "what have you found so far? maybe i can help." nymeria had planted quite a few gardens throughout her life, after all, and would be elated at the opportunity to help ygritte deepen her knowledge on herbology. to know that she was following in their family's footsteps warmed the druid's heart -- but, not intending to be overly prying, would simply wait for further instruction and details from her daughter. today, her only job was to be the best assistant there ever was.

She focused solely on her mother's voice and how she felt the excitement coming off of her mother's body. She purred with the touch and leaned into it before hearing that her mother wished to help. Really?! She would squeak before bouncing in place. Okay hold on let me go grab some! She would squeak again before dashing off to her den and grabbing a few to bring back to her mother, placing them in front of her. I have clove, some baobab and lotus bean.. I'm not sure what I can or can't plant so I was going to experiment with them.. And if she failed, then she would fail. @Nymeria

@Ygritte's excitement was infectious, and nymeria found herself pushing a laugh out from between her lips, the sound light and airy against the air of the brook. "of course, i'll stand watch over the garden." she assured dutifully, watching with a smile as her daughter bounded off into the treeline, just as eager as ever. thankfully, however, it did not take her long to return, and the valour was quick to straighten her spine to better observe what sort of herbs ygritte had gathered for her project. it was evident by looking over the bundle that she had been hard at work, and that she was serious about her desired profession -- and so, whatever nymeria could do to help, she would.

"well, the good news is that the clove will plant easily and grow well, especially here. the lotus bean will be better of stored away, but maybe we can experiment with the baobab?" she explained further, reaching forward gently with a wheaten paw, and looking to separate the lotus bean from the rest. however, nymeria had no intention of simply telling ygritte what to do, nor taking the fun out of this opportunitstic learning experience. and so, exhaling a small hm, the druid would look to pose another question. "what do you think is the best part of the baobab to try and plant? the fruit or the stems?" she inquired, curious to see where ygritte's minds and instincts would take her. mind you, nymeria had never tried growing a baobab tree before, but -- there was a time for everything, wasn't there?

She sat there and would listen to her mother intently. Of course she hadn't been to worried about her garden getting messed up or taken away she had barely started. But she was grateful that her mother hadn't gone away and so this caused her much joy. So when @Nymeria began to speak and stated that the clove could be planted here but the bean couldn't - at least not here - but she was unsure about the baobob. Which was interesting as Ygritte began to think at the question and would hum while she did it. Well.. the fruit would have seeds right? So we can try planting the fruit? She would answer, confident in her own words as she answered her mother proudly.

calm eyes remained settled upon @Ygritte's form, watching the easy way in which she fell into the role of healer and attempting to keep her emotions composed as a result. instead, she focused on the question that she had posed, waiting on baited breath, for she was curious to see where the yearling's mind would take her. and oh, she had the perfect answer, much to her mother's delight, prompting the tender rise and curl of her features. "that's a good idea," she encouraged upon a warm purr, nodding absently along with ygritte's self-declared plan of action, as she leaned in to try and brush the edge of her snout against the other's own. she was a natural at this, after all, wasn't she?

"i guess we'll have to start by getting these holes finished, hm?" nymeria added on after a moment more, shifting only slightly so that she could better reach the garden of upturned soil. and it was there that the valour would dutifully get to work, hoping to make the other medic's work a little less tedious, as she began carving out a wide nest for the fruit and other herbs to grow. or, of course, ygritte could give her any other instructions that she saw fit, for nymeria would follow any of her requests without hesitation.

She was excited that she had been correct and had squeaked with delight. She was thankful that it was just them and they weren't trying to hunt anything and so, with that note, Ygritte began to quiet down and listen to what her mother was doing or saying. The sudden touch of her mother's nose against her own caused a bit of a shock but she didn't move away from the touch but against it. Purring and smiling all the while. She was lucky to have someone like @Nymeria as her mother. To believe she would've been lost forever if they hadn't found each other on the shoreline. But at the mention of holes, Ygritte would nod and begin to help. She really had no clue on how to build this garden and had just started digging, Am I doing this right?

a whimsical sort of smile remained perched upon nymeria's lips as she and @Ygritte moved in unison. there was a learning curve to gardening, especially when dealing with such fickle plants -- but if anyone was fit to teach the yearling the ways of the land and of medicine, nymeria liked to think that she was the woman for the job. "you're doing great," warm tones encouraged with a small purr, continuing to dig by shifting the soil to the side, creating a series of small, soft craters within the earth. every few seconds, her eyes would shift to ygritte's own work, noting her movements and the soft shifts of her frame, before opting to provide information on the next steps.

"once you feel like the holes are big enough - you know they're good when you can fit your whole paw in it -, we can add the herbs and fruits." nymeria explained further, her tones soft and encouraging all-the-while. she remained grateful to have some much needed alone time with her daughter, and basked blissfully in the fact that she, too, felt that brimming need to help others and pursue the life of a medic. it was not an easy task, and nymeria knew that, but ygritte had all the heart in the world, and her mother knew that she would do great things with it.
