The events of the day have been interesting to say the least. Coming into the den with a broken shell of a pumpkin full of feathers and flowers Newt found himself very happy. Humming as he moved he placed the pumpkin down and smoothed out the furs he had in the den. Tucking the fur safety into a corner in the den dug under and between tree roots he began picking out feathers to fluff up the den. “Going to need to go hunting in preparation for the arrival.” He noted out loud mostly talking to @Calamity, but also himself. “Though I wonder how we are to feed them?” Newt said seriously with furred brows. He had been so excited about becoming a dad he hadn’t really thought about important details. Such as how would they make sure their babies didn’t starve as newborns.

“How the heck would I know?” Calamity said, gently laying down the stone. “Unless one of us magically starts producing milk- I don’t have an actual clue!” He said, very seriously. Gently tugging more furs towards the stone. We can’t have it freezing, and so far it hasn’t been a really hot autumn. The air was crisp and the heat just mild. When time gets closer to night it could often get cold.

“Perhaps they wouldn’t need milk?” He asked, gazing over to newt. “Or we carnage coconuts to feed them- they have a sort of milk in them don’t they?”

Of course Darling wouldn’t have all the answers, but that didn’t stop Newt from asking. Mostly musing them over by talking out loud. In any case they where questions that would need to be asked and figured out. The golden playboy wasn’t going to be gifted the gift of being a dad just to let the little ones starve. Surely this Maua being would have created a way for them to feed them. Or perhaps it was just a pretty rock and all a joke to entertain the pink being, but with how the interview had gone he truly hoped not.

Seeing @Calamity tuck the stone in he smiled fluffing up the furs some more he purred as he gave his darling a lick on the cheek. “I have never had coconut so I’ll take your word on that.” He cooed softly. “How does one go about getting said milk?” He asked calmly and out of sheer curiosity. His head turning to the side as he laid down curling up partly against the stone but leaving room for Cala to join them.

Calamity curled up. “My dad used to crack it open I think, looking back it must’ve been how he fed me after my mother left. The tree didn’t last long though, by the time I could remember stuff it had already died.” Calamity stated, after giving it thought . His dad had been the one to teach him that there was milk in coconuts, and now looking back the reason his old man must have known such a fact must have been due too having to feed the abandoned calamity. He had never thought about it before, so when he layed down by his lover and the stone, he had a very thoughtful stare to him.

Hearing how @Calamity ‘s dad used to crack open a coconut was rather interesting to him. Eating coconuts or any type of fruit a plant just seems so foreign to the golden playboy. When desperate times call for desperate measures having taken a wild risk to save his son was something that Newt was glad the lilac lion father had done. “Your father sounds like he was a great man.” Newt chuffed softly. Thinking about it he wished he had gotten a better chance to know his father but alas that was taken from him very early on and it’s life. A painful memory that over the years has warped into a distain the pride lands in the ways. Are you distain that does not help by the fact his own biological mother had decided to abandon him so that her life could be spared. He had been lucky to be found by the lioness he would later call his sister within the Valentime Mafia. Thinking about his childhood Newtington did not wish for such drama and such heartache to be fall his children.

So as he crawled up next to the beautiful purple and yellow stone gifted to Calamity and himself he let out a gentle sigh. Eyes closing as he leaned into his darling for comfort as he thought his painful memories and forced him out of his head. “You will be a great father I can just feel it.” He added with a smile nuzzling his lover.

Calamity purred softly, licking newts cheek. “I’m very sure you will be as well.” He remarked softly.
“After my father died I came to amaryllis, the watering hole was one of the first places I discovered, I always feel closer to dad there. And it’s become so much more for me- I mean one day I met a sexy golden haired king sitting on a rock and I was definitely ready to have to kill him! I’m very very glad I didn’t.”

His eyes gazed down at the stone. “Soon our children will be able to laugh and play there, it will be brilliant.”

Rather or not Newt would be a great dad or not wasn’t up to him. He would try his best yes, but how others saw him mattered. Not to him, but being a rogue he did worry about these silly pride lionesses seeing their children and trying to claim them for themselves. Honestly if anyone found his, their cubs and thought ‘oh free rogue babies I’ll take them!’ Well Newtington Valentine would become enemy number one after he murdered and went on his war path painting the ground red. No one. NO ONE. Shall be taking his family from him. For a moment his thoughts went dark until @Calamity ‘s voice brought him back. “Yes. Brilliant and if anyone tried to come along and claim our happiness for their own it will be the last thing they ever do.” He promised his darling vowing to keep everyone safe.

“I’ll smash in their sculls while you rip the hearts out of their chests.” Calamity said firmly. “Anyone who tries to take my children won’t be living to see the god damn light of another day.” He said it so seriously and grimly that there shall be no doubt that he meant it. Any fool stupid enough to lay as much as a claw on his babies was going to severely regret it.

Anyone break their hearts? Harm a hair of their heads? Try to take them? Look at them Funny? They can start digging their graves now because calamity will not stop until they are dead for even thinking of doing such a thing to his cubs.

“Yes, yes, but let’s not traumatize our children from the get go.” He cooed. His heart racing at the thought of seeing @Calamity kick some ass in a real fight and himself fighting along side his darling. For his darling for his children, their children he’d do anything to protect them. “This world will know you don’t mess with the Valentine-Storm family. A family blessed by Maua!” He purred their names but spoke proudly about being blessed by Maua. To think they, two male are able to have cubs together thanks to this deity warms his heart. It also makes him thirst tor knowledge about this divine being.

Eyes watched Cala as he nodded to his words and then attempted to put his paw on top of the lilac’s head. “Okay calm down tiger. They are going to get hurt that is the fun part of life.” He said giving out a chuckle. “Being rambunctious little rogue cubs and all.” Though Newt was happy to see the protector shine in Calamity. “Still anyone try to take them from us shall find my fangs.” He added seriously.

“I never said I’d traumatise them, who even said my tiny toddle beasts had to be present? They can be warm at home, safe it their beds while their old man is out kicking some butts.”

“I want to find out more about this Maua, a lot more indeed. Perhaps I’ll ask the natives...” calamity pondered the thought. “After all, our young will belong to these lands. He grinned.
