The blind woman plunged into the freezing water, moving until it was chest level. She rocked back and forth with the angry sea, as angry as the storm that brewed within her. Idiot. Fucking idiot! She thought to herself, contemplating throwing herself beneath the water and never coming back up for air again. It was a tempting ideal, one that nearly had her by the throat until she caught the very early sounds of approaching pawsteps on the beach. "What the fuck do you want?"
She snarls out, not giving a damn who it was. She didn't want company, she didn't want to be talked to. She never wanted to speak to anyone again, lest she FEEL anything. Emotions were for the weak and she needed to cut them off completely.

Summer
With the last of the rainfall seeming to have swept across the peninsula, summer days await! The days are warm, though comfortable, and peeter off into more mild evenings while the humidity remains low. It is the perfect inbetween until things transition towards more sweltering temperatures, so best enjoy it while it is here.

Her gait was measured as she moved across the blackened sands, she could not see the storm that was looming but she could smell it, could feel it. And god it was rightfully so! It matched evenly with the turmoil that raged within her. Brigid didn't want to feel things, she didn't want to feel anything anymore. She had fled, had ran as fast as her legs could carry her until they trembled with sheer exhaustion. She couldn't bear to face him, not for a moment longer. He was free from their arrangement, free from her and all of the fake feelings he had cast towards her. And how dumb was she to even think for a moment that he had actually cared for her? Well he and Saga could have their fun now, who was she to hold them back from their shared glances and cutesy flirtations. She may have been blind but she wasn't naïve.

This is such a fun place! But there are no pretty flowers and mama and her siblings are not here. Little Fernweh will have to find her way back and hope her family isn't worried sick. Her toddling leaves tiny pawprints in the black sand as she presses onward, intent to find where she first came from. But, suddenly, a movement in the sea catches the young Greyflood's attention. A part of her is a wee bit annoyed she's not alone here, as it's such a big big place. At the same time, Fernweh can ask them where to leave for the Cove. As she's about to go up to them as much as she can, the stranger snaps and yells at her. She recoils, stopping just before the shoreline. H-Hweoo, I'm Fernweh she says, mismatched eyes looking at the woman. It seems she's angry! But why is she angry and why is she being so mean to Fernweh? @Brigid

The voice that answers her is small and fragile and though Brigid should have felt bad her heart was too consumed with anger and pain that she couldn't even think to apologize to the child. @Fernweh. An interesting name, one that wasn't familiar to her any. But the minute she realized that it was in fact a cub she frowned, though not moving from her position within the ocean.
"You shouldn't be here kid."She said then but with a reluctant sigh turned her body so she could face the stranger. Her blind gaze moves to fall onto the cub, though it was likely she wasn't even looking anywhere near her given there were no shadows to go off of.
"Where are your parents child?"She scoffs then as she sloshes through the water and moves closer to her.

she's not looking at fernweh. what gives? maybe there's something about her that the brown lion doesn't like? fernweh falters a little in her answer, although she knows what to say. instead, she flops down, her tummy making stomach rolls that squish against one another. mama ava feeds her well and sometimes she gets fed by other lions. she knows auntie morri now, too, but she doesn't talk to her much. the question goes way over her head as fernweh frowns. in her den! she finally says, voice sounding like a chirp. of course, mama would be in her den, that's their home! @Brigid

"In her den!" @Fernweh responds and Brigid cannot help but roll her eyes. Well that surely wasn't very helpful now was it? She had every intention of throwing herself out to sea but this little runt had gone and ruined that. Now she was her responsibility to get back home, wherever home was. Sloshing through the water Brigid made her way towards the girl, lowering her muzzle so she could sniff at her. The cove was written all over her, so she was a member of the same pride then. Well at least that gave her a general idea of where to take her.
"Come then, there's a storm on it's way."Brigid said before moving past the cub. She didn't really give the cub a choice, either follow or not either way Brigid wouldn't be opposed to turning a blind eye, literally.
