Sitting still was not an option Roan liked to think about. Though he knew he was still healing, he also felt stiff if he sat for too long. The Hodari's mind was still cranking away at trying to figure out what to do next in regards to Wolfbron, if there was anything that could be done, but that could only go on for so long before Roan simply needed to get some air. The Mire was home, but sometimes the boggy land could feel utterly suffocating. Really, it was all just in his head. Either way, though, Roan still felt a need to get out. In his never-ending yearning for his wintery mountain home, the mauve lion found himself wandering towards the north in search of crisp, cool air. Winter could not come quick enough to the rest of Amaryllis, but at least there was always this deep freeze just north of them. At the very least, it offered a chance for Roan to test his healing body and maybe do a little training to keep himself fresh. Hopefully, he wouldn't need to be fighting again any time soon, but it never hurt to be prepared.

Roan was purpose to walk slowly towards the north, if only to save his energy for the real climb he might find in the freeze. The steep cliffs could offer a thrilling challenge. Then again, maybe he shouldn't push himself that hard yet. Depending on how deep the snow was, maybe that would offer enough of resistance training for the Hodari to be satisfied. Once he was through the tunnel that lead through the mountain, Roan simply took in the sight of the frozen landscape for a moment in aw.

The slender woman made her way through the snow covered terrain, with her fluffier coat making up a kinda of protection against the frigid wind that came across the apparently lifeless tundra. Eyes of lilac lurked through horizon, contemplating, evaluating her next course of actions. But as far as she could tell there was nothing of use. Like prey or water. Her injuries were much better now, not hurting anymore but still visible within her small frame.

She walked in silence, wanting to remain stealthy, but she also wishes to work on her endurance. If she wanted to defend her daughter better she needed more stamina. And for that she began to jog but again trying to be quiet. But she didn't know someone else was near by. @Roan

Honestly, Roan didn't expect to find anyone else out here in the freezing temperatures. The snowy climate wasn't for everyone, even those with denser fur like he had, but still, he supposed he couldn't be the only frigid-born lion in Amaryllis, so when the sight of another feline came into view, the Hodari wasn't entirely put off with sharing his tundra. She appeared to be a fluffy creature, like himself, jogging through the snow. Perhaps the stranger was looking to exercise out in the snow as well. Curious enough to investigate, the masked lion picked up his pace a little while issuing a few chuffs in @Lotus' direction. It wouldn't be so bad to have some company while he tested out his shoulder, right?

The fluffy small lioness kept with her stroll, quietly, wanting to stay low, to avoid bringing attention uncalled for toward herself. She wasn't completely healed from her injuries and being small she was an easy picking for whoever wished to attack her. So her best option was to avoid, to get out of conflicts. As she jogged to work on her endurance, she looked around, finding nothing but snow, empty fields. But a chuff flew through the silent air, making the female stop her wandering. A male, a masked male with a coat as fluffy as hers. "Hello?" She muttered as a weary expression took over her lilac eyes. What did he wanted? Would he attack her? @Roan

Even with just a little jog towards @Lotus, Roan could feel the tension in his shoulder. He hadn't to pick his feet up as high as he did in the deep snow, nor had he moved too quickly lately either. Walking was okay for limbering up, but the job really started to show where his body was still healing. In any case, as he neared the mauve woman, her expression didn't help encourage the man to seek company while training. Maybe she had come here to be alone. The frozen tundra was a pretty uninhabited place, after all, perfect place to be alone.... Oh, well. There wasn't any turning back now. "Hello," he returned, though sounded a little more chipper than the stranger. "I don't mean to bother you, just saw you jogging out here in the snow," Roan offered a little too quickly. "And I thought maybe you were training or something, and might like some company... or a training partner at least." Despite the stranger being much smaller than he was, Roan looked like the more sheepish one. Not usually one to so easily throw himself into talking with strangers, he also knew the benefits training with someone else could have on him.

Eyes of lilac stood still over the male's form, weary and unsure about what to do or say. The fear of getting attacked made her limbs go frigid, immobile. Long haired cheeks moving along the cold breeze that struck her face. Pointed ears moving along each sound, each noise that came through them. After the attack she really felt in edge, and being smaller than most lions made her even more prompt to snap or run. This male was of course a giant for her, and she wouldn't stand a chance even him being injured.

"Yes, I was..." Hollow, slow voice flew out of her even lips, looking up to the way taller lion. She took her time to think, to consider his question. She had a hard time trusting in those out of her family, but the more empathic side of her made her feel bad, for the male who was even asking a mere stranger to give them company, well as long as he didn't show any sign of being a threat she could give him a chance. "Okay, and...what were you doing yourself?" She asked, less nervous but still holding a small weariness in her voice, but less hostile. @Roan

Maybe Cressida had rubbed off on him and had made the mauve lion a little more forward in approach, but after all that time spent training the younger girl, Roan found an appreciation for training with someone. It was just a minor fact that the Hodari didn't know this stranger already. @Lotus seemed skeptical of him, and perhaps for good reason. He was a large lion, especially compared to her stature, and with fresh scars from the war, Roan likely cut an imposing image. Still, the masked man remained friendly in his posture and tone, content that the stranger hadn't yet denied his company. "I came out here for the same. I have some recently healed injuries that I just wanted to test in a more open setting." The Hodari wished to be honest with the woman, hoping that by exposing his vulnerabilities, she might him less of a threat, and thus be less reserved with him. "Name's Roan, by the way," the Sovereign added as an afterthought. A name might help put her at ease as well.

@Roan was his name, and unconsciously she saved that name in her memories. At first she went a bit hesitant to share her name but again, he seemed as far as str could tell, kind or at least not looking to hurt her. "Lotus Black..." She said low, like if everything she had to say was to be a secrete only a few should know.

Moving to the training matters she nodded to what he was doing. Herself had injuries too, not as fresh as his but still there, mostly on her hips and scruff but by now they weren't pink anymore, more muted in tone. "I was working on endurance...but also trying to be stealthy." She didn't say why as she didn't think he needed to know.

Considering her caution towards him already, Roan didn't outright ask for the woman's name in return. Instead, he'd simply leave the inquiry unspoken, hoping that @Lotus would reveal her name on her own. Much to his delight, the stranger offered her name without much fuss. "Nice to meet you, Lotus," he offered with a dip of his head and a brief grin. This wasn't getting off to a terrible start after all.

Endurance actually sounded like a beneficial training session considering the threat of war. If any further disputes with Wolfbron came to another bout of multiple fights at once, Roan would certainly need adequate stamina. Fighting Vine and Zoticus back to back had definitely drained his energy. Maybe that was why he couldn't beat the pink man in the end. "Sounds like a plan. Climbing around these parts and working through the deep snow should definitely help toughen up our endurance," he suggested casually. It was what he had been planning on doing anyway. As for training to be stealthy? He didn't really know what to suggest, nor did he think much of the need for it. To each their own. Perhaps it was easier to be sneaky when one was as small as Lotus. The larger male would likely have a harder time with it.

"@Roan." She tested his name into her lips. Noticing this was one if not the first direct interaction she was having with someone out of her family. Someone she didn't know, and she had yet slot of insecurity in this moment. Well almost getting killed by someone who appeared nice gave her reasons to not trust anyone despite how hey look like. "Nice to meet you too Sir.Roan." She said politely.

"That's true...we need all the strength to better protect ourselves." She said , not mentioning her family, just to protect their identity just in case. "Are you..from around here?" She casually asked. Perhaps he could help her know better where she stood in.
