"Thinking about the storm advancing, Thinking about the lightning dancing, in your eyes But I Can't shake these memories that reign inside" he sung remembering Jacques he felt his chest tighten, he made a mental promise to seize any chances of any future interest. "tension builds, i think we're under thinking part time thrills" his voice hit a higher note and he let it dull into a hum. He was enjoying the acoustics this area offered him.

Fall
Though the air is still warm and the sun is bright, the summer is beginning to wane and, with it, the humidity has started to die down. It is a welcomed relief for the inhabitants of the jungle, as more moderate weather will mean that the rainforest will not feel quite as stifling, as well as those from the desert, who's early autumn will see calm winds and mild nights. For the rest of the peninsula, the change in seasons will be gradual, hinting towards the colder months that are soon to come.

Lands opened and Bronx was quick to take advantage of it. The lad grew bored so easy, and he had run out of some of his fermented fruit. So he was mixing the leaves with his remaining fruit. It balanced itself, keeping him aware of his surroundings but heightend his senses in the same way. Reaching the peak the golden maned lion pushed his mane back clearing his throat, he began to hum out a few notes. then began to sing, his voice echoing off the mountain beautifully, "No, there's no denying chemistry this strong, Yes, pretend it's right but we both know it's wrong," he began his song humming out the beat to it.

Sunflower had made the climb. Quite upset. The fact his cousin had been claimed unfairly into a pride... no, not just any cousin. Poppy, their matriarch. That man was disgusting, no regard for a women’s choice or opinion. An attention whore too, no doubt. The thought of him alone with his cousin... well it set his blood boiling. There was nothing to do about it either, he had no rank or pride. That would have to be his next project, he supposed.
His ears tilted as he approached around a corner, seeing a man singing. He did not interrupt, quietly humming the melody, trying to learn it. The man had a beautiful voice, and was striking to boot. Head tilting, he approached the man, staying a few feet away. As he finished he smiled warmly, already set in a good mood. Music always did that to him. Helped him soothe his pain. “Sir, you have a beautiful voice, I am most impressed.” A bit formal but... this man was older than him and... well. If he were honest, he was a bit nervous to disrespect him... as he wanted to get off on the right foot. He was both handsome and a gorgeous singer, seemed like he could be a good friend of Sunny’s. “You must teach me this song sometime.” He stated eagerly.

Song singing: Ancient History - Set it Off
The voice of another made him turn to face it, and for a very split second he thought he was looking at Caligula. But his eyes focused and saw no, it was another maneless male. Brow lifted when he called him sir causing him to laugh, then he started to hum softly singing quietly another verse, "You you know how to make me smile, but I-I ahhh need you to be my ancient history" he sung shaking his head softly while he hit the notes he needed. Bronx heard his request to teach and felt a pull at his heart strings, "hmm.. my last student ran off, are you serious about lessons or just handing out compliments?" he asked his voice smooth and deep, he looked the male in the eye and winked with a low chuckle.

As the voice rang into his ears, he closed his bright eyes, bobbing his head. Humming the notes after he was done. He opened his eyes back, which crinkled in the corners as he held a smile on his face. Ah, he was great. Probably better than Sunny, admittedly. He had probably sang for longer, so it only made sense. At the voice that came out of the taller man. He was a bit taken aback, “my word! You have such range!” He complimented. For him, high notes weren’t too hard. He had a higher voice than most men he knew. But for this man to hit those notes… truly skillful.
At the mention of his last student running off, he chuckled, “so what about you made them run off?” He asked, eyebrow tilting up with a charming grin pullin at the corners of his mouth. But he was here to talk about singing, not to flirt or compliment (also, older men scared him.) But the wink did warm his fur. He shook his head, “well, I wouldn’t need help in the technical aspect, I’m self taught, though I’m afraid my repertoire is mostly folk songs.” Which was fair, he was pretty much from the middle of nowhere. That’s where folk songs were most common. He didn’t know many songs outside of that.

Bronx rumbled a happy purr, he enjoyed getting his ego stroked and this lion was doing just that. Pushing back his blonde locks of hair he looked at him with a chuckle. Then all the good feelings suddenly died like butterflies sliced in the air. What made Jacques run off? He looked away from Sunflower to hide the pain in his face, he knew it wasn't intended that way but it didn't stop the sudden sharp pain in his chest.
Damn, he needed to get under some lions and over Jacques. Ears twitched a bit but then looked back at him, ”rogues” he answered quietly. ”hmm I learned songs from my journies and some I made up,” he admitted, shrugging his shoulders. ”haven't heard a folk song in a freakin age, know any good ones?” he asked letting his mask slip over his face to hide the pain in his heart.

The purr took him aback. Not many would release such a sound, especially when they were new acquaintances. But Sunny smiled anyways. It was nice to know this man trusted him to hear such a sound, anyways. But the mood turned sour, Sunny noticing he seemed upset or uncomfortable by the question. Immediately wishing he could take it back. He hated seeing others in any sort of emotional pain. Rogues. Oh. But violent ones, he assumed, rogues like he and his family were not angry. Nor violent. They just went on their way.
The other changed the subject, and he didn’t try to force him back to it. Tilting his head, “you’ve made your own lyrics?” He asked. He’d never tried the craft himself, didn’t figure he’d be great at it, honestly. Perhaps he should try though. It sounded difficult but satisfying. At the question, he nodded eagerly, “I know a lot of folk songs... most of the ones I know are sort of bittersweet but... the vocals are beautiful.” He explained, smiling and looking away fondly. Ah yes, the songs of his home. He’d tried to learn as many as possible before traveling with Poppy, and he’d memorized many. Though some were lost with time, no doubt.

”Yeah, sometimes.” he answered Sunflower, most of his songs were ones he came up with his friends back home. His cousins helped. His mother taught him softer songs. But others he came up with in his travels and the pick me ups from strangers along the way. Bronx moved to lay down in a easy position, crossing his front paws to look at Sunflower. His head was starting that annoying throbbing that fermented fruit usually numbed. Trouble was he had none left to indulge in.
”Give me a listen,” he asked with a grin, at least if they were soft spoken it would be easier on his head. Bronx had no want to give a lesson to someone who may not want to share their own talents. It was a lot of give and take for Bronx these days. After all even Jacques' lessons didn't come free, he had a pretty good grasp on French now though he would never let it poison his tongue.

The other explained he did create his own lyrics, and Sunny felt a bloom of admiration in his chest. Yeah, he’d have to try it himself sometime... but not today. No, the other asked for him to sing, and he would oblige. A short pause as he thought through his options. Then, after choosing, he took a deep breath to signal his beginning.
“Boys workin' on empty
Is that the kinda way to face the burning heat?
I just think about my baby
I'm so full of love I could barely eat
There's nothing sweeter than my baby
I'd never want once from the cherry tree
'Cause my baby's sweet as can be
She give me toothaches just from kissin' me
When my time comes around
Lay me gently in the cold dark earth
No grave can hold my body down
I'll crawl home to her.”
Then he paused. Allowing the other to form his opinion. If he wanted to hear more, Sunny would again oblige. But if he’d heard enough, Sunny would understand. He thought it was hard to follow up this man’s performance. But he had sure given it a try. Done the best he could at the moment. The tune not quite reaching the mountains around them, seeing as it was still quite a quiet song.

Bronx was right he made the correct choice to let Sunflower sing, it gave his head a break and his lungs. Rolling his ears forward he listened then nodded softly with a chuckle, ”not bad... little... dark but not bad” he agreed. Though Bronx had his own dark songs to sing, however those were often sung in his stressful periods in life. ”I've always wanted to perform for a crowd... but so many don't understand the life of a singer” he sighed with a little chuckle laying down on his side.
”plus some just want to watch you burn...” he muttered a little hollowly, yeah he was thinking of her. He was slowly remembering things, but he couldn't place names or faces right now. Right now he knew someone had hurt him bad and it was due to incorrect social cues. Bronx wasn't good with the sad ones, the ones who needed constant lifting, he had trouble lifting his own ass up from the dirt nevermind anothers. ”You got a pride?” he asked suddenly not lifting his head to look at Sunny just yet.

He nodded in agreement at Bronx’s assessment. True, it was dark, but so were many of the songs her knew. Hm... perhaps he should learn something more... cheerful? It would match him a bit better, maybe. Although wouldn’t it be more entertaining and surprising if someone you thought were rather sweet, came to see your performances, and they were dark? He thought so. He nodded at Bronx’s want for a stage to perform on, “I, as well, would like that opportunity.” Came his sweet, melodic voice. “I have some bards in my family, they understand the importance of preserving stories and song, just as I do.” Poppy was a bard, in fact. Oh... he wondered was she was.
Sunny barely caught his last words, but let out a sort of grumble in agreement. Like that Gwyn fellow. Took the head of the family. As they say, cut off the head, and the body goes with it. That too, would happen, if they weren’t careful. The man didn’t look at him as he spoke his last question. “No, sir, I know of two so far, the Hollows, in the caverns east of the beach. Another, the Cove, on the beach. I couldn’t advise you to join the Hollows, it’s damp, dark, and honestly? The King’s a bit stuck up his own ass.” He’d been pretty self-absorbed, and that was coming from Sunny, the one with a big ego. “Oh, silly me, I’m Sunflower Nicte! But you can call me Sunny.”
