Aarani listened as the man spoke, his younger counterpart still quiet and watchful. She wondered what the girl's story was and if her muteness was selective or non, but @Calamity took enough of her focus not to linger on what if's for too terribly long. Aarani appreciated how certain the man seemed with himself, boasting a confidence she could not decide was youth or simply the experience he had already secured. "You are welcome to join Andal Oasis, then, and if you should ever feel it is not the place for you, you are under no obligation to stay. We certainly aren't in the business of keeping people against their will." Aarani wouldn't hear of it -- not now, not ever.

“I would love that! What do you think, @Tokyo ?” He asked the cub who was like a sister to him. As he walked behind her nuzzling her neck. “No more going hungry, right?” He asked her.

For all Tokyo was silent and mute, he talked to her a lot. Forever telling her things and asking questions. She was the reason he wasn’t alone, and that was wonderful! Yet the quiet yearling could be rather stubborn sometimes, often doing the complete opposite to what he asks! Still, her opinion always mattered greatly to Calamity. More than she would know. More than words could tell her. In a way, Tokyo was the only type of family Calamity has.

All the girl could do was wait as the pair of lions spoke back and forth among each other. She felt disinterested in the topic manner, and being as she could not really participate in the conversation, she simply sat. Tail would tap and ears would swivel at an angle that showed off her level of annoyance. Time was wasting, but it seemed more likely they would follow this stranger as opposed to freely roam wherever they pleased.

@Calamity would aim a nuzzle at her neck, looking considerably pleased at an offer for a home. Her expression remained neutral, yet the stiffness in her sit might suggest her reluctance. They were not the pride to hold anyone against their will? It was easy enough to say, be it true or otherwise. After a time, she would aim a hard nip at the male's ear. It would not be enough to draw blood, but give him a pinch. It was her way of saying she would go with him, but begrudgingly if he was insistent on going.

No more going hungry. Oh, she felt for the two dearly. How terrible it was to be so young without a stable source of food at their backs. Rani knew prey in the desert wasn't always plentiful, but she had always managed and would teach them to do the same if they so desired. Her attention drifted to @Tokyo as she nipped at @Calamity's ear, a bit uncertain as to whether that meant approval or not. Aarani watched their interaction before taking a shot in the dark: "It's this way, if you two are interested. A wide variety of dens to choose from and plenty of snacks to be had." Rani grinned pleasantly before turning to lead the two back to her home, giddy.

Calamity gave Tokyo a pleading look. Didn’t she understand how great of an opportunity this was for them. No more going hungry? No more lack of shelter? It was the perfect opportunity!

“That sounds wonderful, I accept your offer with open arms, high sovereign.” Calamity said, once more resorting to his manners.
He’d pinned point where that feeling of respect came from now. It was one of respecting ranks and loyalty. And he couldn’t say he didn’t already have great respect and loyalty towards her. It was similar to the loyalty he felt to @Tokyo and the same loyalty he once felt towards his father.

@Calamity seemed certain that he wanted this, despite Tokyo having no desire to belong to anyone, she would follow along, for now, she owed him that much. The lioness had already invited them to come along with her to her home and began moving off. There was a sudden desire to get up and begin walking in a different direction from her, but the strawberry teen would resist this urge. An irritable twitch of her tail and slight grimace was offered before she turned, following after the lioness at a distance. She would offer a brief glance back at Calamity then as if to ask if he was coming. If they had to be in a pride, might as well get it over with, she could return to her wanderings afterward.

Calamity grinned with the most joy he’d ever felt. As he followed Tokyo and his new sovereign. New things were coming for him, calamity was sure of it.

Father would be very pleased. What, the idea of calamity finally having somewhere to call home, even if just for now. Some where with food and shelter. Where he and Tokyo wouldn’t starve. But she wasn’t pleased with him. Calamity could feel it. Why couldn’t she see that he was trying to build a safe life for them- for her. If only she could understand. If only, if only.
