Tyr casually padded through the land heading North from the Passage from which he had come. He had decided to do a bit of scouting to learn more of the land and it's occupants. He wondered how large this land was compared to that of his home? How many prides lived here? Were there any local rivalries? What was the culture like? Were the Gods different? He had many questions... but right now, only one burned in his brain most intensely. Where the Fuck was that waterfall he heard?!

He'd been able to hear it for nearly a mile out, and yet, not even a stream to lead him to it's source! He knew surely he would manage to find it eventually, but he was starting to wonder if the hidden treasure was even worth searching for. He'd seen waterfalls before, though he couldn't push away that nagging feeling that this one concealed something valuable. What that was?? He hadn't a clue.

[ Practice disguising your scent ]

Moss gave way to earth and mud at the base of the falls. A carpet of lush green blanketing the entire secluded area. Among the dampness was Echo - covered in moss and mud across the bulk of her body. A child one with the earth, it was difficult to tell what splotches on her small frame were mud and what was her natural pigmentation. It had been a difficult place to find, but well worth the adventure to explore this isolated waterfall.

She moves at the base of the falls for some time, but the desire to return to her task drives her back up the path the way she had come. Originally, she had come this way to find an offering. Her experience with Bee just a few days prior and the recent overall turmoil in her life had left her longing to return to the traditions she had been raised with and it had been some time since she had communed with Odin and offered him a blood sacrifice of her own. The mossy waterfall was a fun distraction (who doesn't love a romp in the mud?), but there had been no game to hunt from what she could tell.

As she traverses back through the labyrinth of narrow trails that led her here, a white form is headed towards her. Ordinarily, she may have opted for a new path at the sight of a stranger, but Echo sticks to the trail she knew she had come down out of worry she would get lost if she tries to navigate a new path in this confusing place. So instead, the muddy girl simply moves to the side of the slim corridor to allow him to walk right on past her if he so desired.

Suddenly the scent in the air changed. It was... he lifted his head to test the wind as it blew across his muzzle... it was, mud and pond water. Hope renewed that he was getting closer, Tyr hiked a brow and pressed on. Closer, closer... oh he could nearly smell the water as if he were right on the shore!! He passed a rather filthy female coming from the other direction, and usually he wouldn't give a passerby the time of day... but as her form drew further away, so did the scent. And so did the excitement that he might have been going in the correct direction.

He stopped and pondered a moment. Where had the scent come from? Could it have been that woman that passed him by? Was she coming from the place he had been seeking for hours? He turned back quickly to look at her and released a rather rough chuff, loud and demanding for her to stop and look back.

"Kvinne, where are you coming from?"

He asked simply, the tone in his voice just as demanding and rough as the chuff had been. His stance was wide, confident and powerful. It was intended to signal dominance and the command for respect from the woman. By the Gods, if she knew where this falls was, he was going to get her to take him there. It was as though Odin himself willed him to finally make it to this place!

Like a breeze, they passed each other by with nary a word; an ordinary encounter like any other. As they cross, she admires the white of his pelt for only a brief moment. In a litter full of browns, Echo found colors such as whites and Faevyre's lilac to be unique.

Then, a sharp chuff draws her legs to stop as she turns to see the same yearling looking back at her. Fire blazes in his look, determined and fierce. @Tyr calls her by a name or word she doesn't recognize, his tone just as fierce as his words. Clearly, this boy had no chill. "A waterfall." She says, a hint of a question lingering on the edge of her words. Why do you want to know?

The female of the same age turned when chuffed at, and Tyr was glad she was not stubborn or prideful. She would make this easy. There should be more compliant lions and lionesses in this world, just as she. When she answered, naturally confused and with a question in her words, Tyr simply smiled at her. The smile was wide and almost endearing as he looked at her, pleased, proud that he was nearly there! It was just as he had thought!

His gaze was still intense upon her, softened by the smile that was beginning to fade from his lips, as he tilted his head to her in a question of his own.

"Might you accompany me there? I will need a guide."

It was a simple question, his tone much more gentle as he turned himself sideways and lifted a paw, twirling it dramatically before gesturing for her to lead the way.

The wide grin that plasters his face at her reply is endearing, toothy, and excited. He really wanted to go to this waterfall, didn't he? Her own lips tug at the edges, automatically driven to smile back at @Tyr and his dramatic flourish. Although, she had her own task to accomplish, and she wasn't sure if she wanted to get distracted with more detours - especially to a place she had just been. The thought gives her pause, but she nods at him in agreement.

"I will take you, but in return could you help me hunt something after? Something one lion could not take down alone." More blood for Odin. The fiercer the beast the better. She knows Bee would have helped her in a heartbeat but Echo wants to do this one alone (well, at least not with her siblings). The boon she asks of Odin was on their behalf, and she would be embarrassed to seek it in front of them.

She would take him. His charm had worked wonders on her and his smile was renewed. Still, she asked for something in return for her favor, and while usually Tyr would not be interested in bargaining or generally doing kindnesses in order to get his way... he could manage this.

"The company of a beautiful woman and the promise of a most vicious hunt? Your stipulation sounds more like temptation... to keep me around a bit longer?"

He mused with a hiked brow as he began walking back in the direction of the water fall. He swung his head to gesture for her to come take the lead as he went.

"I will help you hunt, but be warned. I give a rightful share to the Ravens, Huginn and Muninn."

He was aware this would sound strange to someone not familiar with the Allfather or his 'eyes', but it was not important to him weather she understood or not. He always made sure to give a large share of his kill to the God who guided his fate. The Allfather would return the favors one day when Tyr finally takes the field of battle!

His fate will soon become the fate of all of Amaryllis!

Invisible beneath the mud that covered the grimy girl, his words bring a hot blush to her face. Other than by her own parents, Echo had never been called beautiful before, and even though she suspects he is simply charming her to get his way (after all, she was absolutely covered in damp muck) she likes the attention more than she ought to. Echo wonders if @Tyr expects her to be just the same color as the mud that coats her frame underneath; would he be disappointed?

His next words cause her to nearly laugh, a wide grin separating brown with white teeth. So he knows of her Gods, how unexpected. "The kill is for Odin - a sacrifice; I seek a boon. Though his eyes and ears can have a taste of course." Brown eyes seek him as they walk, wondering what his reaction would be. The path twists and turns as she guides him, easily remembering the trail she had just taken. They would be there soon.

She takes the lead as he intends, clearly giddy yet not interested in expressing it. He pretends as though he does not notice, walking close behind as she makes her way easily through the labyrinth. He would have to remember this path for the future.

She speaks then, excitement in her tone as she reveals that the Kill was in fact for the Allfather himself. He hikes a brow and looks at her with keen interest. Yet another Heathen? Their paths must have crossed for a reason, and now Tyr wonders if the useful thing that he was supposed to find at this waterfall wasn't indeed HER.

He hummed in general agreement when she was finished speaking.

"I wonder if it is coincidental that I seek the same? Odin Allfather had brought me here to find something, and all this time I thought it was resting at the falls... awaiting my arrival.

Perhaps the Gods had plans for our fates to cross?"

He mused with interest, wondering what her plans for the future held. Was she meant to fight along side him on his quest for glory and power? Was this the beginning of his very ascension? Did it start with this chance encounter, here and now?

Perhaps just a few short months ago, Echo would have never believed such a thing were possible. She had been sheltered, an untouched princess from a faraway icy land. Yet, since her landing in Amaryllis Echo's life and the lives of her siblings were filled with chaos and violence; it is hard to not feel as though they are being tested. Who was she to know what Odin had planned for her? She wouldn't have expected it to involve a stranger such as he - how could he help her beyond this sacrifice?

If only they didn't work in such nebulous ways. It would be much simpler if the Gods just spoke plainly about what they wanted from her. "Does he speak to you?" She asks, If he had a deeper connection to Odin than she did, then he was the perfect assistant to help her with this sacrifice.

They round the last of tight corridors into a yawning entrance to the clearing at the base of the falls. The sound reverberates louder and louder long before the falls themselves come into view and when they hit the cool misty air Echo breathes deeply, enjoying the feeling of the mist on her face and in her throat. She pads to the water's edge and lowers her muzzle to drink from the clear waters. When she rises to look again at @Tyr, water is dripping from her chin.
