Drakon Tollaire

*this is set before the CC meeting*

Jewel had told Drakon which two pride's they had become allies with and with that in mind, Drakon would set out to the Hollow. He had fought @Magnus for it and in return respected the lion for even giving him a fight to begin with. It had been worth it in the long run. But now, the dragon king set off from his new kingdom, crown and all, towards the border's of a place he barely remembered ruling. He had been there. Once upon a time ago, with Gwyn as the head of it all but now? Drakon couldn't recall where Gwyn was and didn't really care. He disappeared much to often for the dragon's liking and it made him rethink the alliance his father had set in stone those many years ago. He wasn't your traditional Tollaire though. Not these days anyways.

Stopping at the border's of the Hollow, Drakon would call out for the leader's - though mainly Magnus he wouldn't be discouraged if another showed up - and waited patiently. To think he had once roamed these tunnels. Marked these border's. Now? He was doing that else where.

Hecuba didn't like the Hollows. While she understood the appeal of a territory completely covered in shade, the woman also understood how terribly cornered they were should anyone wage war. There were likely other ways out, maybe some access tunnels here and there that would spit them out somewhere safe, but for the most part? Trapped. Trapped like rats.

She didn't voice that opinion out loud, knowing her husband had once resided in the caverns. Hecuba didn't know if he had a fondness for them or not, but she wasn't about to shit all over them and find out they were his favorite.

"I'm surprised your eyes ever got used to the dark," she eventually commented, brushing her shoulder against his as she waited alongside of him.

There were visitors on her borders, that much was certain. Nadia had been on her way out when the scents had crossed her path. Immediately the ebony Sovereign made her way through the darkness, closing the distance between herself and the strangers in relatively quick timing. 'I'm surprised your eyes ever got used to the dark.' A grey lioness spoke, though she was not familiar to Nadia, nor was the man at her side. "You find it grows on you after awhile." She spoke, her words ending in a light chuckle before she moved forwards so that the two could hopefully see her better. "Nadia Sigrun, Queen. And you two? To what do I owe the pleasure?" She asked curiously. Obviously Nadia was aware that they were most likely here for her husband, but until he came around she would have to do.

Well, this was a face he hadn't seen in a while.

The woman was a stranger, but Magnus easily remembered @Drakon. Their challenge had been months ago, and plenty had happened since then, but the passage of time did not diminish the fact that the men had once stood on this very ground and fought for supremacy. His presence here was not particularly unusual - though a little out of the blue, admittedly. What was strange was the scent that he and his grey-pelted companion carried. The Cove. Magnus rumbled a greeting as he approached, drawing up close alongside @Nadia. Welcome. What brings you here? His attention flitted over @Hecuba briefly, but ultimately would settle on the other man.

@Hecuba was right there with him and making her comments about the Hollow's that caused him to chuckle at her but never got to answer as another showed up. Her scent matched the one of @Magnus' but he didn't know her. Ears pushed forwards as she would introduce herself as @Nadia and as the Queen of the Hollow. Well good, it was nice to know that Magnus had found himself someone to rule beside him. Each King deserved a Queen but many needed to be careful on which pair that was. So for now, Drakon would dip his head to Nadia before Magnus arrived. "Drakon Tollaire and this is my wife, Hecuba Tollaire." He would begin, looking to Magnus then. "Jewel has handed us the crown of Caladan and I promised her I would go to the prides she was allied with to keep the alliances going, A promise I intend to keep."

A woman as dark as night arrived quietly, and suddenly it made sense as to why anyone would wish to hole themselves up in the dark. @Drakon could probably relate on the opposite end of the spectrum, with his white coat making him vulnerable to sunburn. @Nadia, she assumed, enjoyed it so she didn't overheat. Still, were trees not enough? Ah, well, no matter. Drakon introduced them to the man who arrived, another king as black as night -- and without a mane to boot. She glanced between him and the woman, wondered if they were siblings sharing a crown, and simply nodded with a "it's lovely to meet you both."

Nadia was at ease as she stood before the two Cove representatives, both were complete strangers to her but upon the arrival of Magnus she could sense some familiarity between the two. She had no knowledge of whether they had met previously but it seemed like they were friendly enough with one another. 'Drakon Tollaire and this is my wife, Hecuba Tollaire. Jewel has handed us the crown of Caladan and I promised her I would go to the prides she was allied with to keep the alliances going, A promise I intend to keep.' This was news to Nadia considering the last time she had seen Jewel things had been going considerably well for the Cove. She glanced towards Magnus for a moment before returning her dark gaze to both the Tollaire's and addressing them head on. "Might I ask what caused Jewel to hand her pride over to you? Forgive me but the last time I'd seen Jewel things had been going well for her and her Cove .. It's surprising to hear she's relented leadership." Nadia said carefully, ears craned forward as she waited for an explanation. She wouldn't jump headfirst into continuing an alliance with someone, nonetheless someone she didn't know, without a few details first.

What he learned next was... unexpected, to say the least. Magnus' brows would furrow briefly, but otherwise the stoicism remained. Jewel was not well, so the handover in leadership wasn't exactly a big surprise, but still. Bit of a curveball. It is good to be able to put a name to the face. A brief pause. Well met, both of you. It bode well that @Drakon and @Hecuba had no intentions of stirring up trouble, certainly, but only time would tell as to whether or not their alliance in this new chapter would withstand. @Nadia spoke up, clear and eloquent as always, and Magnus turned his head briefly to better regard his wife in his peripheral vision. Jewel has faced challenges of late; she was attacked, recently. He would shift his attention back to their visitors. Has there been any more news?

@Nadia asked about Jewel and what had happened to cause her to hand over the throne of the Cove but before Drakon would be able to answer @Magnus let her know that Jewel had been attacked. So the white beast stayed silent until it was his time to speak again and when it was he would look to Magnus himself. "Not that I am aware of." That was a lie. A lie he would keep to himself and making sure @Hecuba wouldn't know about Nephthys getting attacked if she didn't already. "Before I took over, we were making sure there were more border patrols and we had begun teaching those who wanted to know how to fight." He would state, though it wasn't entirely easy but he tried. "Perhaps we can keep our alliance? Hold events together?" He would ask curiously.

"Jewel and Vysemala are still actively involved in the leadership, however. We simply offered to step up in order to provide them with a rest while Jewel heals." Hecuba hammered that fact home often, she realized, but she felt it was an important decision making factor for some. If they knew Jewel and Vysemala were on good terms with the family, perhaps it would encourage a renewal of allegiance.

Her ears lifted as Drakon offered a joint-event. It sounded good enough for her, but she wasn't the one making any of the calls. Still, she could add a little spice: "Either way, let it be known that we respect Jewel's wishes to remain on friendly terms and will do what we can in order to secure that." A thin smile, almost hesitant.
