June Y13
Summer
With the last of the rainfall seeming to have swept across the peninsula, summer days await! The days are warm, though comfortable, and peeter off into more mild evenings while the humidity remains low. It is the perfect inbetween until things transition towards more sweltering temperatures, so best enjoy it while it is here.

Arachnae flicked her ear in interest. So he was from a desert place too. Was it also Egypt? She didn't miss the cult she was born into, but she took comfort knowing those sands were also the ones her mother once walked. And then he gave the name of the place he loved in now. Andal Oasis. She hadn't ever been near the pride lands of any of the prides, or ever smelled the scent, but but she knew what it smelled like. She would note that was the scent of that pride. "I'm just a rogue. I haven't joined a pride yet..... I've been looking for my daughter, Madison. She vanished after I went hunting one night, but I smelled no blood... She's out there." She frowned a bit. "My apologies, I overshared."

"It is only proper to be concerned for one's loved ones." Haniel had gone missing as well and Iofiel worried for him. He had been told a dust storm had kicked up and the pale male knew just how terrible such a thing could be. But Haniel had been born in the desert as well so if anyone would know how to survive it would be his friend. "I wish you well in finding your daughter. Hopefully you can come across her soon." He didn't have the same hope for Haniel any longer given how long it had been. He figured the other would just turn up when he was ready. Haniel was an adult and could fend for himself after all.
"May I ask what it is that you were working on?" It had something to do with plants, that he knew for certain. Which ones she had been worked with was an uncertainty to him.

Arachnae smiled solemnly at the male as he agreed upon her worry for Madison. She didn't really know if Maddi considered her a mother, nor was she going to force the girl to, but after that night.... Her heart held the golden cub close. Closer than anything. "Thank you @Iofiel, your wishes are very kind and I appreciate them." She stated. Perhaps he was very warm, but she liked him nonetheless. He was nice enough, and she accepted that. At least he wasn't aggressive- and that's all she needed to consider someone a friendly acquaintance. She chuckled a bit nervously at his question. Would he think I'll of her? Perhaps he would, and she wouldn't think any less of him if he did. What she worked on was an awful thing, meant to kill.... She didn't like doing it. "Someone has been causing trouble. I am prepared to put an end to it if needed, should they pose a threat to my brother. He just became king of Scilla Lagoon, I have heard, and I wish to keep whatever is happened far from his new pride. So.... I create poisons. But I have also made a counteractant. Just in case something goes south, and the wrong person gets in the crossfire." She stated.

"I can understand wishing to protect those whom you love and care for." So he could understand her concern even if he didn't approve of her methods. "I am not in favor of harming anyone. Too much healer in me and not enough fighter." And that had always been seen as a bad thing when he was a cub. He had always been referred to as being too soft. And such could be behind the cause of why he never rose in the ranks. Whom wanted someone soft to take a high spot. He didn't fault others for fighting as sometimes it was needed but he couldn't reconcile it within himself.
"I apologize but I must take my leave now." He couldn't exactly tell how much time had passed as he couldn't see the sky. IT felt like perpetual night here and it made time a skewed thing. All he knew was that he had a pride to get back to and plants to transplant. They didn't last long after being uprooted.
The large male gathered his plants and dipped his head in farewell as he made to exit the jungle.

The peachy witch appreciated that he didn't openly scorn her practices. She understood that very few would approve of her ways, but the fact that he didn't tell her she was a monster for doing what she did..... She liked him more for it. "I understand not being a fighter. I used to be much different than I am now.... I don't like fighting anymore." She stated. That's why she used tactics that didn't need brute strength.
It seemed then that it soon came time for him to leave. She wasn't sure how long it had been either, luckily, because the sun did not scorch her eyes from the sweet darkness the trees provided. And so she gave a dip of her head as he did his, and continued to work on her craft after saying her own goodbyes.
