We don't have any updates this time around! But, given that we have been settled for a while now, we wanted to provide answers to some common questions, and also share some related reminders.
Be Kind to Everyone
- Remember to be kind to everyone. Our members come from very different backgrounds and bring all sorts of things to the table.
- Not everyone has to agree, but you still need to be kind and respectful. Please treat everyone like you would want to be treated.
- Please leave old grudges and thoughts behind and try to build new relationships with those who are on the site now, new and old!
100+ Word Count Minimum
- Please remember that the site does have a 100 word minimum word count for posts.
- Should you not meet the 100 word minimum twice (2+ times) in any given thread, you will be unable to claim any petals or trade experience for that thread.
- Fight posts always have to be at least 100 words.
Character Slots
- Everyone starts with five (5) free slots.
- Only active accounts count toward your slots, so when auditioning a new character, please only list the active IC accounts that you have.
- If you are bringing back an account that has been set to inactive, you MUST have an open slot for it.
- The "character slots" field in your OOC profile only counts purchased slots. So if you have "2" character slots listed in your profile, you actually have 7 (2 purchased + 5 free slots).
- Characters imported from the old site do not count towards your character slots, unless they've gone inactive.
Posting in Maua's Passage
- Please remember that only ranked lions and lionesses (medium ranks and up) should be posting to rogue threads in Maua's Passage.
- Rogues should not be 'hanging out' or checking things out in other threads - this board is for recruiting purposes.
- We will be watching this more closely, so please be sure to be mindful of this.
Trade Threads
- Threads need to be 10+ posts in order to be counted.
- As mentioned here, your exits for these threads need to come on or after post #10.
- You can't use the same task for both your master and sub; you need to pick one for the exp to go to.
- i.e. You partake in a rolled hunt. You must choose whether the "+5 exp" goes towards your character's Master or Sub-Master.
Receiving a Points Error/Unable to Enter Certain Forums
- NewPoints (the plugin we use for the petals) removes petals when a post is deleted.
- This can cause you to go into negative petals, and therefore locks you out of some forums.
- If this happens, let a Staff member know and we will take care of it for you.
- We have put in a request with NewPoints support to see if we can figure out a solution, but if anyone has knowledge on this, please reach out to Ice.
Pride Hunts
- Once a month, Staff drop pride hunts into the pride lands. These happen toward the start of the month, but the exact day may vary depending on Staff availability.
- You MUST list out your character's stats (age and any pride or trade perks) in your post for pride hunts. This is to make it easier and faster for Staff to prepare and tally the hunt results.
- Before posting in a pride hunt, the account MUST be tagged for that pride, and must have been accepted into the pride prior to it being posted. This is because pride hunts are based on the number of lions listed on the pride page.
The Random Design Generator
- Please only nudge Staff about RDGs if you feel as though your request has been missed or skipped over.
- If you have a roll banked and then request next month's, you need to respond and decide which roll you are keeping. If you do not respond, the previous from before will be kept by default. Please use the reply function on Discord or tag the Staff member that rolled for you.
- If you are unsure what your saved roll is, please use the search function in Discord to find it. If you are still having trouble, ask a Staff member for help.
Site Resources Forum
- In case you missed it, we now have a spot on-site that we use to store site resources and other helpful information. Check them out here.
- This includes things like: the Shop Guide and how to use the table saver!
- This will be built on and added to over time! We hope you guys find it helpful having this sort of information all in one place.
Be Respectful of Staff
- All of our staff work hard to keep things moving. Please be respectful of their time and, if they make a mistake (they are human), be kind in asking for it to be fixed.
- We have loved hearing all of the the ideas from our community thus far - we are beyond grateful to have Amaryllis be a mixing pot of everyone's thoughts, creativity, and ideas!
- But, not all suggestions work for the site, or they just won't work in this moment in time -- so, please do not take the rejection of an idea to heart, and please continue to share ideas with us.
- The Sr.Staff team often ask for member input via votes in Discord. Votes allow us to see, generally, where our members fall on an idea. Voting does not mean that that is the final decision - it is simply a starting point for our discussions. Nothing is set in stone until it is officially announced.
