The storm pressed on, raging just behind the alcove the two of them had huddled into. Teal eyes were cast towards the darkened skies, no sign of the blizzard letting up any time soon. A part of him hoped it wouldn't, it felt .... good to be this close to Genesis. Bringing a warmth to his cheeks that had only occurred with one other. It was in that moment he knew what was blossoming within him, but could the same be said for her?

He cups her face for a moment longer, before finally releasing it and bringing his paw back to the ground. The echo of her warmth against his paw pads made him wish he hadn't removed it. Finally, does he let a smile form across dark lips as she speaks glad to see the blizzard had not dampened her spirits. "It was definitely something." He says a little breathlessly as her own paw moves to brush the ice away. Fighting the urge to grab her paw and keep it there.

"We might be here for a while." He warns her, nodding towards the storm that continued to rage just outside. He couldn't even tell how much time had passed, but every moment beside her was a welcome one. He had no intention to rush out of here any time soon.

Her question brings about a light chuckle, "Yes, I'm okay." He was more than okay if he could admit it. "Honestly the storm hadn't been my intention when having us break open the pumpkin, normally the insides are sweet and full of seeds you can eat." Orei finally admitted.

"Speech."

@Orei's words were not betrayed by the strange and haunting opaqueness that shrouded them there in that alcove. Yet, as she sat huddled against him, her every sense heightened by his body's warmth and the lingering tingle of his fading touch upon her brow and cheek, she decided she was perfectly content with this predicament...even if she was also feeling just as guilty.

Genesis had endless questions: questions about what had just happened, about what was happening now, and about the flips her stomach was making that were so reminiscent of what Isildur had stirred in her right before he had...before they had....

Until now, she had primarily been worried about being on the other end of such a dynamic; but now as she sat here, sensing Orei's desire while at the same time yearning to go back to Isi and redo her blunder of a first kiss, Genesis felt like she finally understood why the Savante man's mind seemed to scatter at the sight of her. Their last encounter had finally enlightened her to what these feelings were trying to tell her, and they were nothing short of overwhelming.

So much so, in fact, that it was near agonizing to watch Orei's paw lower back to the ground.

Her eyes rested upon it as he spoke of the pumpkin, her head against his shoulder as he admitted that he had had much more innocent intentions than inciting a blizzard. In spite of herself, she also chuckled, finding that for being a mere coincidence, this turn of events was far too well timed. "Well," she said, looking back up at him, "for what it's worth, I think whatever magic I just witnessed was far sweeter than a rare fruit.

"And I think..." Her voice trailed off as her gaze sank, impossibly slowly, from his eyes down to his lips. "I think it meant to put me right here. With you."

It was almost overwhelming to sit so close to her. Her scent, her warmth filling him with something he hadn't felt since he had begun to realize his feelings for Fearne. At first, he had felt guilty about them, like he was betraying not only Fearne but himself as well. But the more time he spent with Genesis the more right it had begun to feel. That he was excited for their next meeting, that he found himself smiling more in her presence. Being around her was like taking a breath of fresh air after being stuck under water for so long.

His breath hitched slightly, as she leaned her head against his shoulder. Every part of him screaming to be closer. Her words barely registered as blood roared in his ears. His teal gaze finding her own as she looked up at him. There was nothing else on his mind, the blizzard now a distant memory, forgotten in the wake of something that had become much much more interesting.

"I think I have a better idea of how to pass the time." Orei says almost breathlessly. Paw coming back up to cup around her chin and pull her lips to his. "I want you, Genesis. All of you." He whispers against her lips before deepening the kiss if she would allow it. In this moment there was only them, only now, and he would make the most of it. Before they were both thrust back into reality.
