December 13, 2024 After winning the challenge for Wolfbron Bluffs and becoming the fourth Dieudonné to hold the crown, Lazare releases all the members and ends the longest standing pride's reign over the island. After seven years of the Bluffs being held by the same family, it now sits empty, waiting for the next chapter of it's leadership.

December 6, 2024 Death came to a witch hunter after she called for the death of Karsa, with Kvare answering it causing Miaran to fall. Lazare Dieudonné challenges Louve Dieudonné for Wolfbron Bluffs. Snow seems to be falling in the middle of the summer as strange animals show up and offer a tempting meal for those brave enough to jump in.

November 8, 2024 Scorpius has gone missing and in his place Zaahir steps up to take the throne of Andal Oasis. How this change of leadership will shake things up in the lands, only time will tell.

October 11, 2024 Something is happening in the Scorched Wilds. There is a battle raging between a familiar force and an unfamiliar one. What will you do? Help or hinder?

October 1, 2024 Spooky things are happening as the afterlife start walking among the living once again.

September 30, 2024 Louve Dieudonné manages to keep Wolfbron Bluffs in the family. What will happen between the Bluffs and the otherwise peaceful pride of Lorien Plains?

September 20, 2024 Ilarion Rurik challenges for Wolfbron, will the Dieudonné lead pride fall?

September 8, 2024War broke out once again in the Lagoon when a wedding had some uninvited guest arrive. The war results in the most death matches the island has seen at once. The Summit was challenged by Brighid with Talisa answering the call. After many years of the Summit have the same two leaders, the Summit changes hands. What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

May 24, 2024 Rulers continue to shift, family strife ensues, and, per usual, tensions seems taunt and always lingering on the horizon.

April 24, 2024 Things are rocky within Amaryllis as the Dieudonne clash result in three deaths and forces a shift in the rulership of Firnen Rainforest. With Caladan Cove freshly overturned as well, what will the consequenecss of these events be?

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

Summer
The summer season has finally reached its peak. The sunshine is plentiful, the days are long and the air is hot and humid - but the evenings do not seem to provide the same relief that they once had, and remain somewhat stuffy. Thunderstorms have also began appearing more frequently, particularly in the rainforest and eastern region, though the rain is welcomed after a relatively dry season thus far.

Trigger Warning: Blood, gore, and ritualist sacrifice

The wilds cage her its magic stronger and in bloom. The witch is in awe of what is before her, yet lacks the knowledge to understand. But does she need to understand to know it is magic? A magic that is wild and untamed? Glories and beautiful in its fight for survival in this harsh land?

She'd seen the first signs of the wild magic a night ago. Green among ash and death. Life violently assaults death in the most magnificent of ways. Ghosts had risen from where ever death lingered and now life rose from the grave of nature itself.

Between her jaws, she holds another rabbit, plentiful with springs arrival or foolish in a desperate search for food and mates. It's not yet dead, its red contained within its small frame its heart beating so loud the witch can almost hear it. Fear clings to her nose like a stench masking the sweeter notes of iron from the punctures on her sacrifice. But it's not time yet, soon but not yet. The witch moves through the ashen landscape her paws set for an alter she'd found amongst burnt timbers. Its surface was slanted for optimal flow and green wild magic clings to its foot.

When she arrives she holds the rabbit still, her paws keep it in place as her jaws carefully squeeze around its small neck. Life drains with one last effort for freedom and her sacrifice falls silent lifeless and still filled with its red magic. The witch licks her lips looking at her display before the rite, and then she begins. Claws work skillfully and quickly as she carves her way through fur and flesh. Blood paints the stone and her paws as she works. There is a blissful look on her face, focused but content as she hums tail flicking as she concentrates on the work at hand. The liver is cut free first then devoured to cleanse her, to prepare her for the magic to come. As she works her mind drifts her focus lost to the world around her. She only has an eye for the red at her paws, and the magic, wild and green at her feet.

"It spills red and bright, it flows to darken and thicken" she hums her voice almost singing as she works, her own words filling her ears as a deafening melody.

The padding of paws can be heard behind you but no one is there when you turn to look. They continue for a while—always out of sync with your own—until they eventually fade out. When you turn to look you see paw prints of green slowly growing out vines searching for trees...

It was something new, and strange, and had caught his eye through the trees as he moved through the jungle. A flash of green in the ash, where none had ever been seen. That, alone, was enough to pique his curiosity and draw him to the burnt expanse. It was the strange, unexplained, pawprints that began appearing, leaving little spouts that really got him intrigued. By now, Lucifer was no stranger to ghosts, so it was a puzzled smirk that formed once he noticed the tracks forming behind him. "Dad?" Didn't really seem like a thing his dad should be able to do...or would even want to do, but that was the only explanation he could find at the moment.

When no answer came, he shrugged, and watched the tendrils spread and reach. He'd never seen plants grow so fast, what were they? A shift of the wind brought him the scent of fresh blood and an unfamiliar voice, and he'd drag his gaze away from the strange new growth in search of that, instead. Maybe whoever that belonged to was behind this?

It didn't take too long to find her, following the scent, but the scene left him standing off to the side somewhat awkwardly, waiting for an opening. Seemed rude to interrupt...whatever she was doing with the - had that been a rabbit? Once it seemed safe, once she seemed less...in her own head or whatever, he'd clear his throat softly, "Hey, uh. Did you do that?" A nod back toward where he'd come from, "Summon whatever made those green tracks, I mean."

Among the broken grounds he finds himself again, wondering what draws him to this empty place. Fervent energy hangs against the air, openly warring within itself although he knows not what it means. Dual brown eyes narrow, seeking whatever caused the disruption; there is nothing to see.

Driven further into the wilds he hears the soft hum of someone working, a steady tune that draws him into its embrace. Pulled inward towards @Meisia, sharp gaze is drawn to her - and only her - as blood taints the ground, covering scorched branches placed around a stone altar. Vibrant green glows as pawprints leading to this place, enhanced by the tune that his sister sings.

Brawny body turned abruptly towards @Lucifer, who queried with lack of conviction, lack of confidence. Long, ink ears stuck off the other man's head, a mutant if ever Paerios had seen one, that he didn't know if he should be disgusted by or fascinated with. "Of course she did." Snapped words click teeth together as he draws closer to his sister, intrigued by her offerings to whatever entity created the glowing pawprints.

"Teach me sister-mine. Let us bring this power to Amaryllis." Its not a loving reunion, but it's rare he'd show respect for anyone but himself. Whatever Meisia was producing he wanted to be able to produce tenfold.

Witch

There is a humming in her ears, not quite lion or even remotely natural. The sound of magic like water or blood rushing in her ears sparks zapping over her skin under her fur. Magic was here, magic was hers and it felt great. She didn't realize she'd gained an audience as her paws worked carefully carving through the rabbit releasing blood and magic to pour down over the stone onto the ground and the green. "Magic is red, magic is blood" she humms tail flicking and ears flopping with a quick motion of her head "Feed it, nurture it" she humms stepping back blood coating her front limbs and her jaw. On the altar is the gruesome sight of what had once been a rabbit. What had been green at the rocks foot was now drenched in red and magic. The witch looks at her work with a sense of admiration. Despite her sacrifices size, this was quite the work of art.

Finally, her ears catch the words of @Lucifer behind her and she tilts her head surprisingly unaffected by being snuck up on. Perhaps it was the feeling of magic still running through her own blood. Or it's the fact she feels almost lightheaded not yet fully back in the world of mortals. However, the appearance of the peach-colored lion, his voice foreign yet familiar snaps her mind back into the realm of mortals. Her eyes unhazing and her red stained lips pulling into a smile.

But her emotions are not the same, behind her face, her odd gaze a storm of emotions flourishes to life fueled by what remains of the magic. He had abandoned her alongside the others, cast her out to starve while they all were safe fed, and warm. Anger boils within her, and betrayal claws at her belly at the sight of her very own brother.

Her odd gaze focuses on him and then moves to the other lion. They do not seem to know each other at least her brother's words do not seem to favor his presence in this moment. As @Paerios moves closer to her the witch finally spots the pawprints on the ashen ground her eyes glued to them forgetting the mortals beside her. They had not been there before, whatever they were, they were new. Something had walked there something had been so near without the witch realizing or feeling it. She can feel her fur prickle as the hairs along her spine rise as she moves to investigate the prints ignoring her brother and the stranger until Paerios speaks again. The witch returns to her altar. A paw carefully touches the rapid cooling and thickening blood. A dark thought grows in her mind a hungry gaze cast upon her brother as a smile spreads onto her lips.

"But you have brought no red to offer, brother dearest." Her tone is sugar-sweet, too sweet, as she bats her eyes at him. He had brought no red but his very own. But oh how sweet that would smell and taste.

Another soon came along, and Lucifer frowned lightly at the man's retort. No need to snap. He huffed a short breath out through his nose, ears tipping back as the stranger shifted to address the strange girl - apparently his sister. The girl who still didn't seem to be entirely tethered within reality. He suddenly felt very much like an outside intruding on a private moment, despite having found her first.

With a slight shake of his head, he'd shift and turn, letting the siblings do...whatever it was they intended to do. Did she mean to do the same to the lion as she had the rabbit? He'd probably have to step in at that point, wouldn't he?

Lucifer moved to the nearest green pawprint, where tendrils curled and reached, and would gently brush the ash away. First, he'd clear a little from around the print itself, then brush clean a path toward the nearest tree to see what would happen. All the while, he kept one ear tuned toward the siblings, alert for signs of violence or impending murder.

TRIGGER WARNING!
This content might touch on topics that are sensitive or triggering for some readers. Trigger Warning for mentions of ritualistic sacrifice, thoughts of murder, mild blood & gore

Privacy evaded them with Lucifer's prying eyes around the edges, but he is thankful for other male's presence as his sister's displeasure became apparent rather quick. Any witness could be his saving grace.

Whatever notions Meisia held towards himself felt bitter, misplaced aggression presenting itself when there were greater things at work. Dual-toned brown eyes canted towards the spreading growth within the paw prints he'd followed towards this witch's lair, far more interested in the presentation of otherworldly vegetation rather than his sister's wrath. Except that Meisia's words held vague threats behind their poorly veiled pouts of red.

For the moment potential life-threats were ignored, his gaze drawing to the mauled rabbit carcass upon the stone altar. Linear crimson, now deep wine-red, ran into the ash covered soil of the long damaged forest. Iron glinted against the air, metallic against his nasal passages with no trace of anything interfering. It was the only link to the strange happenings which occurred not far from them, thus he gathered it must be Meisia's witchery presenting itself.

"Hush now, don't act stupid. Look," he turned his head for a better view of the pawprints, noticing their dear friend @Lucifer drawing a rugged line to a tree, of all things. Some of the greenery seemed to escape the print the other lion ran that thick line from, bringing further curiosities to their current experience. "It looks like our friend has unlocked something more." With a curt motion of his muzzle for @Meisia to follow him, there were a few short steps to the prints, where he began to do as Lucifer did, drawing the power from it's condemned state outwards towards the scorched trees.

His own pathway created for the verdant magic to spread towards the trees, he turned to regard his sister first, then their companion second. "Did you do this?" An inquiry directed towards @Meisia directly. "What do you think it is?" Another inquiry directed towards @Lucifer this time, wondering if anyone knew what they were doing.

TRIGGER WARNING!
This content might touch on topics that are sensitive or triggering for some readers. Trigger Warning for mentions of ritualistic sacrifice, thoughts of murder, mild blood and gore, and self harm

The stained paw feels sticky as it drops onto the ashen ground the bright depening red muddled with pale ash. As her brother speaks ignoring her words the witch's ears drop against her skull the elongated tips almost dropping down the side of her head in a more rabbit-like manner than feline. He ignored her, he underestimated her. And as he turned his back her claws itched.

How easy it would be to leap from her current position. How easily she could tear into him while he seemed distracted by the outsider's discovery. His blood mixed with ash, his magic feeding the green. How magnificent and powerful. Even if he was not like her (at least to her knowledge), he was blood, and therefore, his red would have to be potent.

She watches, eyes blown wide, lost to the gruesome thoughts in her head until @Paerios pulls her back into reality. Had she done it? She blinks observing the pair of lions from her position at her blood-soaked alter. The green pawprints had not been there before her sacrifice of red. Something had made them, something had come answering her call. "They weren't her before I offered the rabbits blood, before I fed the wild magic" she hums as she moves to join the boys observing their work with interest. Paving the way for the green seemed a logical choice but the pawprints had not appeared until the green had been fed. They needed to feed it, to help it grow strong. The witch looks between the boys for a moment. Pain and hurt still draw a hungry gaze to her brother, to see him bleed. But the more logical would be the stranger, @Lucifer was alone. Even if they were not best of friends surely Paerios would help create a sacrifice. He did not have to do anything but hold the half-maned lion down. She'd do the rest...

Hungry eyes linger on Lucifer, before the hunger is pushed aside. Showd down and away. Not now, now was not the time. Hunger had to wait, her hunger had to be stated another day. Right now feeding the green was far more important and of all of them, her own blood would be the strongest. They were but lions and she was a witch.

"I'll feed it again" she hums moving to the first print, the one they'd made paths for. The one already creeping towards the trees. "Blood is potent, lions more than rabbits" she hums as she sits her elf ears flopping with the motion before returning to their position on top of her head. She doesn't wait for either of them to answer or object as she raises her front limb to her lips and digs her teeth into the skin. Pain blooms over her limb and the sweet taste of iron floods her tongue once more. Lions blood, her blood.

Meisia holds out her limb to let the drops fall onto the green mismatched gaze locked onto the wild magic before her. "Red is blood, blood is red" she hums as she holds her arm over the green "Magic is red, red is blood" she chants eyes blowing wide as she keeps her focus on her work. "Feed it, nurture it, spread it" The words of sacrilege, the words of magic leave her mouth. Feeding the wild and chaotic forces of unknown powers.

Such a strange girl. Lucifer was accustomed to the fact ghosts existed, but magic seemed to be a step too far in his mind. Certainly, lions were allowed to believe whatever they wanted, he wouldn't try to change their minds or offer judgment.

Then again, maybe there really was something magical happening. He struggled to find any rational explanation for the green pawprints and the rapid, searching, growth. The strange girl seemed eager to take credit for it, and he had no grounds to argue, really. He did keep her in the corner of his eye while she moved to join them, wary. Until he felt her gaze linger on him, and then he'd meet that hungry stare with a squint - if the two of them turned on him, he knew his only real chance was to run.

He'd move a step away when she spoke of 'feeding' it again, preferring to keep out of easy reach just in case. But she didn't strike out at him, instead she turned her teeth on her own limb and Lucifer winced and cast a questioning glance at the other male. Was she always like this?

How long he'd been separated from those born from the Saxe blood. Although he'd known many faces, @Meisia felt different from the rest of the brood, invoking whatever magic the green vines that climbed brilliantly towards the trunks of trees came from. Just as their un-related companion provoked the spread of this magic, making a rivet within the soil towards the deadened trees. Magic felt surreal, toying with matters not of this world, but he was present, witnessing a Saxe perform spells and another lion encourage magic vines to spread.

Curious how his sister looked upon their flesh - he and Lucifer's. Supple, peach flesh and dusty blue flesh, prime in their youth but perhaps tough due to their well-muscled structures. Not that he thought Meisia imagined eating lion meat. Until, of course, the oddity of the young woman biting into her own flesh, releasing her own blood to "feed" the magic.

Eyes canted towards the vines, watching as they wiggled across the earth, intrigued by this development, though still uncertain of any direct relationship between the vines and Meisia's magic. Already his gaze was back on his sister, wondering if she were mad, given her bleeding limb.

Either way, the vines hadn't become present until his sister had spilled the rabbit's blood. He couldn't deny whether lion's blood was more potent than rabbit's, all he had was a singular definition of magic. The idea intrigued him, even if he developed a different definition.

"Very good," he murmured, moving away from his sister towards @Lucifer, wondering what the other youth thought of this development. "I guess we help them to the trees, and let them take over from there?" An inquiry directed towards Lucifer before Paerios extended a clawed hand to help loosen the soil and allow the vines freedom.
