The girl wasn’t usually one for adventures but maybe it was time for her to come out of her shell? The clay colored girl would slide down a gentle slope that led to a pond. She had told Jazz where she was going, granted he had been sleeping, and thought that might be enough to cover her butt.

She didn’t dare tell Benjamin where she was going as she didn’t want him high-jacking her adventure. Although she loved her siblings, sometimes she wanted to be alone. And as she approached the pond she paused noticing the strange pink birds, a little happy chirp given while she moved to hide herself among some grass. Petyre wanted to watch them a little bit to see what kind of birds these were.

Ashland X'uekai

The little prince was further from his home than normally today but he had deemed his excursion and patrol of the nearby territories a safe enough endeavor. Not to mention it was stifling to be surrounded by girls all the time and the new cubs were still too small to be any real fun. But he was excited for their birth as it meant he was no longer the only boy in the brook. Soon he'd have five brothers to play with.

Moving forward his dark paws tracked through the snow, and his dark fur stood out among the white landscape but by no means in the same way the pink dots ahead of him did. The prince was fascinated by these dots and walked towards them noting how the land grew flat and the scent of water drifted in the air. The pond came into view and so did the pink stilt-legged birds. The Prince's nose twitched as his pale eyes studied the odd beings from his position just off the pond's sandy bank.

Petyre did not know if the birds would be okay with her getting closer, but hadn’t Jazz mentioned something about some birds would be nice enough to land on you as long as you were quiet? Gulping at the idea of one of these huge birds stepping on her she quickly decided that was not what she wanted.

Creeping closer she passed by a darker shadow in the grass unaware it was another cub (@Ashland), too focused on trying to get closer to the strange creatures. She kept crawling towards them, until she was about ten feet from the edge of the pond.

Mentally she was glad Benjamin was not here for he would probably lose patience and chase them. As much as she loved her brother, he did do some silly and annoying things sometimes! Suddenly a peep nearby her made her turn her head to see a nest nearby, with a ugly little white fluff in a nest.

Was this related to the other birds? Petyre would inch a bit closer, noting the other two eggs in the nest. Unaware she probably should be backing up and not moving forward.

Ashland X'uekai

The pond and birds were an odd sight and Ashland observed them with a curious glance. Did they only live in this pond? Were the water where shallow so they could stand on their stilt-like legs or could they maybe live in the brook's moving streams? The princling looks around wondering how it would look to have pink birds at home. Something no one else had, surely that was something they should have?

But when something moves past him Ashland drops low ears pinned back as pale eyes scan in between the tall grasses. He remains like this for a moment until he is certain whatever it is won't jump out to attack him and then he moves. Her trail is strong, and the princeling's nose twitched unimpressed. He follows it finding the odd brown cub ahead of him. What an ugly color, unlike his family who were all dressed in whites, blacks, and dark purple, this one looked like dirt or poop. Not to mention she'd almost snuck up on him! The princeling frowns as he moves closer to @Petyre not bothering to announce his presence as he moves up beside her to see what she is looking at.

The white fluff ball looks nothing like the big birds and the princeling snorts "You think they will kill it if they see it?" he asks in a somewhat hushed tone' It seemed logical, if it was not one of theirs why wouldn't they kill the ugly thing? Or maybe the pair of cubs should? Even if ugly there was meat on those bones, right?

The girl was so content to watch the little one eat and stomp that she didn’t hear the other boy saunter up beside her. And when he did she gave a startled squeak, looking at him alarmed. When did the shadows come to life!? Blinking dark green-light green combination eyes she would look him over, she had no opinion on his color or the way he looked different to her. Jazz was different to all of them after all, but that didn’t mean he was less of a brother to her!

"Hi! i'm -- what?” she had began to introduce herself but whatever excitement she felt in her chest at the idea of interacting with a cub outside of her siblings, was quickly fading. What did he mean? “n-no?” she stuttered a reply, shocked at the boys suggestion. “Why would they? That would be mean” she added in a slightly offended tone, her eyes narrowing upon the other boy. Oh was this what her fathers had warned her about? To be wary of boys that were mean like him?

Nope, now Petyre it isn’t nice to judge him just yet! Maybe he meant another creature she had missed? Looking around them hopeful to see some other creature that could prove a threat to the bird, but again that hopeful feeling began to sink in her chest. “I think it’s parents are over there” she added, hoping that by pointing out the parents it would make the other boy realize that the chick was protected.
