She gently reached up a paw to lightly brush his cheek, eyes softening but still happy as they looked up at him, her heart raced each time he spoke, she enjoyed the way he could feel comfortable around her, and vice versa. The mentioning of him wanting to be the best husband he can be has her tilting her head a bit as a thought popped into it, "Speaking of...our marriage...d-do you know vhen it should happen?""

She didn't like to be so forward, especially when it came to this topic because she never wanted to seem like she was being pushy, even if that meant not speaking of it at all. "Not that I vant to rush you... or us...Just...curious..""

He couldn't help but smile as well in the face of her soft smile and gentle assurance. He would have told her that she just hadn't given him the opportunity to then, but there was a limit to how much he could joke about himself before it just sounded like self-deprecation and fishing for compliments, neither of which he was trying to do, so he let it go. Besides, he enjoyed that that was how she viewed him, in great disparity to how he felt around his own family. Maybe they were both saving each other from their family's views. He felt like he could melt into her touch, but he managed to keep it together.

I don't know. Mom and Grandma haven't said anything about it. But I mean... I guess we could just go through with it whenever we wanted to? he replied, realizing he didn't sound too sure but knowing that was what he wanted, to go through with it, and not just because he'd been told they had to. I mean I... I care about you. I don't think we should have to wait around for them to decide if... if you feel the same. He didn't want to assume anything she might feel, but he did so hope she felt the same way. He thought she did, if those soft touches and warm gazes were anything to go by, but he had to be sure.

It was a thought that remained in her head almost always, Temero made her a better lion, she felt safer with him, felt like she was more than just a female, they were both from families that would look down upon them for things that she found so silly. Maybe if she had believed in a higher power, she may have spoke that fate had brought them together to heal and comfort the other.

She listens as he speaks, he was right, why should they wait for someone's permission, when they were both adults, and she knew without a doubt she wanted this, she wanted to share her life with him, Ve could..." She couldn't help the feeling of giddiness that tickled her chest, her heart thumped hard inside her ribcage, I do share the same feelings..." In truth she would probably have married him right then, if he'd asked her, knowing he wants her just as much as she wanted him made her feel so much better.

He couldn't help the grin that settled on his face as she said she felt the same way. Really!? he exclaimed. Oh, please let her not be fucking with him. But, she'd have been playing the really long con for that to be the case, and he sincerely doubted she was. No, he believed her, he just couldn't believe that he was so lucky. Well then, let's do it! Screw waiting for them! Wait, I should do this properly though, he said, taking a seat to look her in the eyes, his own gaze full of delight and warmth.

It was a big change, though at the same time it was just firming up the status-quo for them. He wanted to be hers, and her to be his, and for them to be happy together no matter what was going on around them.

Seeing the way he grinned certified that she wanted to see that smile and be the reason he smiled that big everyday. The strawberry girl couldn't help the spread of her own grin, she did really mean it, she just couldn't believe it was finally happening. Her eyes glimmered with happiness that shed not truly felt in her short life, but she could now say, she truly felt happiness, truly felt wanted. Her brothers could say what they wanted, but they still didn't have what she and Temero did, and she didn't think they ever would.

Her betrothed exclaims that they should do it, right now and she feels her heart skip a beat as he settles back on his haunches and meets her eyes with his own, she tilts her chin to look up at him, smiling as he says he should do this right. She didn't know what that meant exactly but she couldn't wait to find out.

He speaks her full name as he asks the question and she is caught up for a second, butterflies attacking her stomach, unable to help the tears of happiness that spring under her eyes, finally she nods, slowly at first then quickly, Yes! Yes!" She flings herself into his arms, her front paws wrapping around his mane as she presses their lips together, feeling so many sparks fly off.

He was immediately rewarded with her agreement, and he braced himself as she threw herself at him, his own front legs coming up to wrap around her in a hug as he balanced on his hind legs. It wasn't easy, but he had some practice from his time in fights that made it simple enough to hug her in return. Now he knew what that feeling he got around her was as it intensified with her confirming she would be his mate and kissing him. Perhaps at first it had been infatuation, but at this point it was officially love. He couldn't imagine life without her now. She both literally and figuratively brightened it. Thank goodness his grandmother and her mother had decided to bring them together, even though he'd been surprised by and unsure of it to begin with. Things had worked out, though, to the better of the both of them.

She feels his arms wrap around her, embracing her and holding them both up, she relaxes against him, smiling against his lips as they kiss, and then after they've had their moment, she gently pulls back just slightly, her head tilting to look up at him. They were really doing this, they were really officially each other's. What had just been puppy love and young crushes had blossomed into this and she wouldn't have it any other way.

Once she calms her fast beating heart, she lets out a small giggle, batting her eyelashes, "I guess we should probably tell your grandmother..."" She couldn't help but smile even though she worried that maybe they would be upset that they'd taken matters into their own paws, but she was so happy they had.

But maybe later... For now, maybe we can just have this day for us?"

She chuckled, feeling just a little stingy with her time with her new mate, her fingers lightly played with him mane as she looked into his eyes, a soft smile on her lips.

Probably, he agreed when she pulled away and mentioned speaking to Icefang. She'd be pissed if they didn't within a reasonable amount of time, though he didn't know what constituted reasonable in her mind. Probably immediately, but he didn't care. Let her get pissed at him. He also wanted to spend the day with his new mate. And how weird was that to think? He hadn't actually expected he'd ever be able to say that, not that he'd put much thought into it. Thank goodness @Lorelei actually liked him back. That would've been so awkward and embarrassing. Though he'd have been respectful of that, of course.

Yeah, just for us. To celebrate, he agreed, pressing a gentle kiss to her cheek. Should we... do you want to share a den? he asked, not sure if he was going too fast or not. It seemed logical to him, they were mates, they would share a den, but he didn't know if she preferred her personal space or not.

Lorelei was content on telling Icefang first thing tomorrow, there was this exciting newness to their newfound relationship, and she wanted to settle in it and explore it together, even if they were arranged, she felt like it was right.

When he agrees with her and kisses her cheek, she can't help but blush, eyes hidden under dark lashes as they flutter bashfully. He asks if she would like to share a den and she nods softly, If you would like to... I would.." She admitted softly, she'd grown up with three huge ass brothers squishing her all the time, and she would be lying if she said she didn't miss the comfortable warmth that exchanged between bodies.

He hadn't shared a den with anyone since he'd moved out of his mother's, which he'd done at his first opportunity, so he wasn't sure how this was going to go but he was excited for it, and he was delighted that she agreed. If you want to move into mine, you can keep yours for storage and stuff? he offered. It also gave her a place to go if she wanted to get away from him and the rest of the pride, he thought. It made more sense to him for her to have a private place than for him to. He also didn't want her to feel like he was railroading her into the choice if she preferred the location or whatever of her den, so he phrased it as a question.
