So finally her little trick was starting to finally show its effects, which was good but she was not yet done, she wasn't stopping until it was over. She wanted to give this ass all she had to give, show him a Sigrun was no game, they were serious when it came to defend what was theirs.

Her own wound was worsened when he too had bits of her on his own mouth, yet she had too much adrenaline running through her veins to even notice she was bleeding and badly.

Thankfully she felt his more confused way to attack nowopenly going for her throat. She aimed to lower her head to at least try to redirect his bite to the side of her neck, while she aimed to twist her head slightly towards the side he was bitting(left it blank so you can pick!) and would aim to bite on the side of his face, and do so with clear intentions of causing a lot of damage if she was able to assets the bite.

The world spun and his stomach bubbled, churning with every movement, twisting like a snake and sounding worse even. At this point, the pale Rike knew something was amiss. It was no case of an upset stomach that just now decided to rear its ugly face. Nor was the strange nausea. So when the unworthy wench gloated mid-fight, his assumptions were only confirmed. His confusion transformed into amusement, lips turning up in a momentary laughter at this absurdity of the situation.

Ah! Righteous Sigrun, holier-than-thou!

They fall so low as to use poison instead of sword.

He would’ve spoken, but there was no time for gloating from him. He would’ve mocked the red bitch and all her roach kin for how easily he’d made them fall down a peg, for the very fact that she stooped to poison for she was so insecure in her abilities to beat a man.

No surprise.

His teeth snapped with ferocity around flesh, digging into a wound he’d already made instead of her jugular. So be it! He sought to bury them deep and to dig into her neck so he may try and sever an important artery there, trying to take advantage of the fact he’d already stripped flesh and muscle there. All the while his spine pulsated as if it had a life of its own, headache threatening to split his skull in half.

Their close proximity meant one thing: Zahra’s teeth scraped painfully across his brow and cheek, leaving deep gashes that drew blood but acquiring no grip.

Even poisoned by the serpent, even torn down by the coven’s witchcraft, Luther Rike will prevail.

And may their gods have mercy on them, for he will not.

The sensation of eyes upon her was all it took to break her trance, and in its wake would lay a deep sense of rage. Valentine swiveled to lock her gaze with @Toblerone's, and she released a deep snarl. She knew her. ( Well, let's hold onto your horses there Valentine, knew is a stretch )

She recognized this lioness from being in the Mire previously, but Valentine knew she had not followed them to the Oasis. Why? The question infuriated the young girl, and the fact this bitch had the gall to gawk at her now only worsened it. With her shackles raised, the vixen rose from hiding. FUCK ARE YOU LOOKING AT, BITCH?! Valentine was practically roaring at this point. If this traitor had the balls to come back for her "home" after leaving the rest of them to suffer, then she should've known to mind her own damn business.

YOU WANT A FIGHT? I'LL GIVE YOU ONE, she yowled. In reality, this fight was not one she cared all too much for. It was only the pain of loss which warped her senses beyond care; her heart was sickeningly wrapped tight around its fingers. Valentine loathed that she had not experienced the pain of such a journey and adjustment to the desert. She loathed that this stranger had lost so little. So, so deeply, she loathed. Seemingly, all it took was a bit too long of a staring problem for the girl to unbottle such a hate.

The sound of violence brought the youth from under the watchful eye of the den. Deftly she travels; following the scent of her family before finally coming upon the scene — father locked into battle with a strange woman that required no attention from her. Instead, she lowers herself to the ground; crawling along the ground step by step as she disappears into the depths of the undergrowth and passes the borders.

Carefully the youth would settle into the depths of the swampy environment as memories of her birth sink into her thoughts. Her gaze would lash upon the defender, the woman who took their home, the woman who deserved everything her father was going to do to her. So she waits; quietly in the depths of underbrush — she trying to stay hidden from view as she watches the fight that would determine if they would be returning to their proper home.

Eyup, he replied dryly to @Icefang ♔, less than enthused to be having this particular conversation. It had been bad enough having to explain to Arcania what had happened. Yeah, she couldn't decide if she was more pissed at me for losing them or at her for taking them. Though I guess I should thank the weirdo. Didn't think she cared. If there was one good thing that had come out of the whole situation, it had been realizing that the flash of pure rage in his mother's eyes hadn't been (entirely) directed at him.

He instinctively stepped in front of @Lorelei as the battle broke out, just to make sure she didn't get swept up in it too. Not while he was there. Though, with his track record lately he had a feeling he wouldn't be all that helpful if it came down to it. He'd still try, though.

It hadn't taken long for chaos to break out on the sidelines, as he noticed several other fights going on beyond the main one for the pride. He sincerely didn't know what language the woman was using but it sounded exactly like the one Lorelei and her brothers had been speaking, at least to his untrained ear.

And then things seemed like they were just going to get worse, because Elaine showed up to question Icefang. Great. That could only end wonderfully. He turned his head slightly to watch that interaction as well, just in case someone decided to start throwing claws there too.

Everick let out a frustrated snarl, his attention only briefly swinging to the Bluffs lionesses who approached to talk to the pale... Queen, was it? Wow. Though he'd admit she looked quite battle scarred, so clearly she deserved a tiny bit of respect. And then, who should appear but the shadow cloaked yearling he'd tussled with at the war? A delighted, if perhaps overly toothy, grin stretched across his features as she whispered to the other half of the group, clearly talking about him if her little gesture was anything to go by. Their fight kept being a blood bath to the very least. Yet her well-being got to a secondary priority for she was thinking about the souls of those who had taken home under her roof. A roof she fought for, not like it was handed to her.

His jaws dug deeper into her neck, dangerously close to an artery. Quickly she attempted to bite harder into his face.

She hoped to make him even uglier, to render his face to shreds and mark his all-mighty face for good. Winning or not she wanted to make his win the most painful she could.

dalila should have known better, truthfully. should have known that if bruno or tai were coming for her they would have come themselves, not sent another (a boy they did not know) to fetch her. had she stopped to think about it she might have asked more questions, but her excitement had erased all rational thought.

"you lied," her own words ring in her mind, now, as she backed away from the only friend she had in this cold, cruel world. away, with betrayal shining in her eyes -- eyes so like her father's -- and a frown erasing the smile from her lips. gone was the bounce in her step that had been there when they set out, continuing their journey towards the lagoon, and her tail had lashed angrily at her hocks.

maybe she would have lingered there, listened to whatever rational explanation he had, but then there was the call for home. as briefly as she had given the mire that title it would always be so in her heart; the home that she was meant to grow up in, the home that she was meant to (one day) inherit from her father. HER and not the others, though surely her sisters would have argued.

a flood of memory overwhelms the yearling and she whirls towards ecrosia, racing away from @Drauhir ♔ and towards the distant shouts that mark the rising chaos. her heart pounds so loudly in her ears it drowns out everything else until she is close enough to smell the blood in the air, close enough to peer through the thick undergrowth and see the numerous tangle of bodies.

close enough to remember what it was to live here, to be imprisoned here, to escape and find herself alone. the rush of memories freezes her to her place, tucked away in the shadows, wide-eyes flitting over the crowd without really, truly, seeing.

until they spot HIM in the middle of it all, the white bastard who had chained up his family. fear ignites in her veins and she is practically a statue, until just her green eyes shift and land on --

"vater."

a gasping whisper as she wills herself forward and in to the fray, pleading with her limbs to move even as she stays frozen in her spot.

What a sensitive, insolent thing!

Instead of thanking him for seeking out a safe place for them both, for delivering her from the clutches of those that would surely harm her if they knew of her connection to him, she called him a liar and ran off.

What an infuriating trinket she was. He counted himself lucky then that she had not vanished in the time it took him to ensure they had a place to stay. They would have made it to the Lagoon by now, had she not thrown this tantrum.

How childish.

Rage became him as he followed her towards the Mire. It should have come as no surprise that she came here. Of course she would. Even though there was nothing left for her there, even though he was all she should be focused on, she came.

When he first came across her, he thought her to be a silly, stupid thing. Their time together had mildly changed that opinion — she was good at staying put, at obeying — but this outburst quickly soured his mind. How dare she? Ingrate!

The only thing that stopped him from bursting forth from where he hid, ready to drag her to the Lagoon was that he thought it better to see she was not cared for. He had stolen her away once and no one had come looking for her. He expected this Vater of hers did not care, could not care if he allowed his precious flower to fall into the jaws of a wolf.

Thus, he waited, watching.

In the shadows, his mind churned with all the ways he would punish her for her insubordination.

It would be a lesson she would not forget.

Ah, it's such a tricky thing, to live in a world so full of want. No matter what one may desire, there would always be another who wished for nothing more than its antithesis. Wishes, however, are entirely meaningless things if their owners lack the will to drag them into reality - and Rainer has never lacked in will.

If @Eisa is to give everything of herself away for a dream that was never her known, than Rainer will only have more reason to revel in her destruction. As was his wish.

The flames will only die when her bloodline is completely stamped out.

Oh, but that isn't really true, is it? When the Sigrun are conquered, there will simply be another 'evil' ready to take their place, and then another, and another, until the whole world is consumed by the Rike's endless war.

It's a true shame he won't live long enough to behold the fiery end.

But if he has it his way, it will be the Sigrun Jarl who embraces death first.

The soft skin of her muzzle and chin split like paper under his fangs as he entraps her jaws within his own. The satisfaction of ripping flesh is short-lived, however, for despite his valiant efforts to correct her, the damned woman just won't stop biting. A fang pierces through his tongue, which is...an experience. One he could now certainly say he'd had, though not one he had any intention of ever repeating, because fucking ouch!

The burn of claws sliding up his leg is just the bloody cherry on top. With a pained noise, the Jarl would seek to tighten his hold for a brief, painful moment, drawing his skull back before throwing it outwards, attempting to fling the woman's head away from him like a discarded toothpick. His unabused foreleg would shift forwards at the same time, aiming to shove the point of his shoulder against her smaller chest and push her into the mud.

The wet sludge wasn't exactly a complementary adornment for many people, but he has a sneaking suspicion that the mess will suit her perfectly.
