Her family had been there to witness her failure, which made it sting even more. Spotting her littermate in the crowd before she disappeared, Régine would dig claws into the ground to resist the temptation to snap at one of them for having been there to witness her second time in a row that she had lost in a fight.
An ear would turn towards her elder sister @Elaine ♔ who she looked the most like aside from their mother as she walked towards her, giving the one who had bested her the rank she had desire. Gritting her teeth, Régine tensed muscles - wanting nothing more than to leap at the older lioness again and make her displeasure known. But she would refrain, keeping the beast at bay for the time being.
For it would seem her perseverance would reward her as well. Elaine would offer her the rank of Barony, and part of her wanted to spit the handout in her sister's face - the sting of defeat clouding her judgement for a moment. But she knew she had to be better and not allow it to happen. Ears still pushed back in annoyance, she would simply nod to Elaine in acceptance of the rank.
Before the older lioness left, Régine would bare teeth at her for a moment before she stepped away. "That rank will not be yours long, I will come for it." The youth promised, her words steady and certain as she spoke. If she had her way, the other would not remain in that rank for long.
Poisonous green eyes would flicker back to Elaine as her elder sister offered to train with her whenever she wished. A simple huff would escape her as she accepted her sister's offer of help. Her eyes would flicker back to @Sable, narrowing at the other lioness before leaning towards Elaine and speaking for Elaine only to hear "I do not trust her. She was at my last fight, and was vocal about not liking our ways. Perhaps we should keep an eye on her." She said, not wanting to trust the other lioness who seemed to be so hateful of the ways of those in the Bluffs.
With that last statement to her sister alone, Régine would make her way away from the fighting area. She would find a bone to gnaw on and perhaps something to sink her teeth into to release her frustration and anger.
