Mother had gone elsewhere and today the cub too would follow. Did @Icefang ♔ know the that her daughter was hot on her tail? Did she know that the call of other lions was like a siren singing for Parthena to come? It didn't matter in the end, after all here was the little hellspawn herself, tiny tail hanging high above her haunches as she stared over the conflicts that began their boiling. A fight here, a fight there, some even hissing at each other.

How exciting.

But the cub would cut her gaze towards Icefang and @Nikandr as they chatted but that daring gaze would slip away and against the surfacd of the crowd. Who to fight? Who to take? After all her brother took a lioness, couldn't she do the same?

.Out here only the strong survive.

Time has come to an end. This is nature's plan. Being tracked by a starving beast, looking for its daily feast, a predator on the verge of death - close to it's last breath. And they run when the sun comes up, with their lives on the line. For all that time, gotta follow the laws of the wild. With their lives on the line. No choice.

@Miaran arrived shortly after she did and spoke to @Reti ♔ in her native tongue before asking her a question. The anger and disappointment that raged in her wife's eyes were noticeable and she was confused. Was there something that she was supposed to know and it hadn't been passed on? But before she could answer her wife's question, @Lagertha asked a similar question and once again, Aphrodite felt confusion boil in her blood and be replaced with hot and raging anger. Had she been kept out of the loop of something that would have prevented this? If so, w h y? And then Reti spoke finally.

Her attention went to the lion as he answered her, stating he was troubled. He began to explain to her that he had been leader once - this she knew - that most of the Hollow was his friends and that she should know how he was towards them. Aphrodite would nod her head at him in silence. But when he began to explain that he had talked to Miaran and had made a deal for her to not let anyone go for the Hollows because of his relationships and bonds to them her eyes snapped towards her wife. A growl erupted.

I knew about this and even offered to ask for her release but his traditions do not allow him to do such a thing. She would begin, the anger clearly starting to boil over and she was beginning to see red in the corner of her vision. If I had known I would never had let this happen. But since I had been left out of loop, it did. She would state, removing herself from beside Reti to face her wife. She moved so that she was just meters away from Miaran's nose and growled. Release your anger on me as I will do the same. You left me out of precious information and these are the consequences. And then she snapped. She hadn't even heard Reti's demand to return Lilliana back to her family if Haakon would win.

The demon slithered from its cage and snapped the chains. She didn't even let Miaran come at her first. Oh how she loves Miaran, and it burns in her violet jewels just as violently as her rage. She felt betrayed by not being told. She felt hurt by how her own wife felt. Was this what pain felt like when the one you love caused it? Blinding. Nothing but rage filled love? Aphrodite didn't know as she would attempt to ram herself into her wife's chest. Aphrodite knew they were to close for any real damage but she didn't care. She was furious. And as she would open her jaws and attempt to dig her fangs into the right side of her wife's neck, her only thoughts were rage.

The flames of fury rage fiercely within her, a blazing inferno in her mind. Anger contorts her features, her ears pressed back against her skull as she nervously licks her lips. With a quick glance towards @Reti ♔, she speaks with a fiery intensity, If Haakon dares to claim the girl, I swear I will--

But before she can finish her sentence, a massive beast crashes into Lagertha, stealing her attention. In that moment, Miaran's focus is torn away from the chaos around her and back to her beloved wife. The Black Widow's chilling words slice through the air, causing Miaran's fury to intensify. Her eyes narrow, fangs bared in a primal display of power.

Miaran had never meant to neglect @Aphrodite, assuming that their alliance with Reti and their caution towards the dangerous Hollows would be enough to prevent any disrespect. But now, it is clear that the Hollows' pride has been wounded. And Miaran will not stand for it.

Miaran was filled with a burning desire to correct this injustice, but in the blink of an eye, Aphrodite viciously collided with her delicate form. The flames of anger and betrayal roared within her as she felt the sharp fangs sink deeply into her tender neck. With savage claws outstretched, attempting to tear into the ebony fur and flesh of the lioness's neck, Miaran turned her head with fierce determination, trying to strike back at her adversary. The searing pain of flesh being ripped by the teeth of her own beloved wife only fueled the intense passion within her to fight back against her own Queen.

he's here for @Teodora, lurking in the background like a hungry shadow. riven is quiet in his approach, sitting silently in the sidelines as he traces the figure of his beloved wife. her crimson fur rippled softly in the lowlights, every curve of her saturated in ribbons of sensuality, as riven's blue eyes tracked her smaller form amid the gathering. this was not his fight to deal with, not his business, so riven keeps to the shadows. now, he can read the ire upon teodora's face, and he'd remain a curious spectator to all that went down. a singular ear flicks atop his skull, apathetic, as fights break out all around him. he's only here to guard teodora's back, should any dare attack her.

he chokes at what @Lilliana says. husband? cubs? karsa groans internally, body momentarily slouching. why did the women of their family have such spectacularly questionable taste in men? first he had heard the gist of what had happened with levana, then had run into the asshole csitri had married, and now this. "fuuuuck," the noise is drawn out as he watches alexander and haakon continue to trade blows, wincing as the pale man moves for his dad's throat. "whatever it is, we'll figure it out, okay?" karsa murmurs to her, aiming to press against her side as more appear and throw out more questions. by we he meant lilli, alex, and teo - after the first go around, karsa had no desire to get involved with another savante woman, her non-savante husband, and their cubs.

"savante" someone spits, and the woman entering immediately has karsa's full attention. on the other side of lilliana, his body visibly stiffens. of course, he cannot hear what she says next to lilliana but the tone the woman had used before - a sneer for shit stuck on the bottom of her paw - has the young savante man bristling. it is only multiplied by the fear and shock on his cousin's face as the woman slinks away to join the members of the cove who had gathered on the other end of the arena. whoever she was - whatever relationship she had to lilliana or his family - was not a good one.

a fierce protectiveness rakes its claws across karsa's heart and he cannot stop the words that come next. "what about the savante? say it out loud, since you feel so strongly." karsa barks out at @Lagertha, barely noticing @Lilliana's body against his as she is jostled. karsa's claws curl towards the rocky terrain below, muscles churning under karsa's coat and anger bubbling up the back of his throat. it is the first time he doesn't shrink away at @Teodora's arrival, instead letting inky lips pull up to flash ivory teeth in a more obvious threat.

in his periphery, karsa can see another fight break out between two cove lionesses one of whom speaks and acts with authority - a leader, or perhaps, the leader. he watches only long enough to see the grey woman's teeth go snapping for the other's throat. quite a vicious fight for pridemates indeed. blue eyes flicker the short distance towards where vlad has engaged lagertha as well, huffing with annoyance as the chance to find a reason to fight her himself is taken away.

Ooh, drama, what fun! She had just been thinking the other day that she hadn't gotten out to see all the fights lately and how she needed to remedy that. Just like @Icefang ♔ thought, what better time to do so than together? Oh dear, so much for domestic bliss, Arcania commented softly, following the pale lioness' gaze to Miaran and Aphrodite, as she could only assume the other woman was the mate that had been spoken of. Not certain, but those ones look like they're all related, she said, indicating the plethora of spotted and swirled lions that were banding together on the outskirts.

@Nikandr seemed willing to go investigate, and Arcania followed his path out of the corner of her eyes so as not to make it obvious.

The yell that came from one of the women helped to explain things somewhat. Think her husband decided it was more gallant to start a war than just to ask nicely? Arcania asked with a low chuckle. Men kicked up such a fuss. It was hilarious.

Oop, there goes the peanut gallery, she commented as one of the Hollow lions lunged for one of the Cove ones. And a domestic dispute to boot, she concluded as Miaran and Aphrodite went for each other. This all became vastly more interesting all of a sudden. Not that she couldn't have predicted that with Miaran making alliances and promises that seemed to not include her wife. Who could possibly have foreseen that going south? Clearly not poor, poor Miaran.

Kali was now a year old. It didn't feel real, she still somewhat felt like a cub. And thanks to that, she often wondered where her mother would go. Her curiosity had caused her to follow after Levana. Her heart brought her close to the green-eyed woman.

But as she continued to venture further towards the heart of the island, she noticed the sound of violence. The snarls and roars, and the scent of blood within the air.

Anxiety washed over her form and she moved quickly, following her mother's scent and finding her sitting within a small group of lions she had never met before. But from what she could tell, they all seemed to be related somehow.

Perhaps this was the Savante side of her family? Many of them had the similar white splotches similar to herself and her mother.

As much as Kali wanted to run up to her mother and cling to her side, she didn't. She didn't want to get caught in some sort of battle just for being present. She stayed back, huddling herself upon the rocks that were higher up.

When she arrived it was already all a chaos from both sides, eyes widened upon seeing one of their pride members going after another for what seemed to be a claim for a female.. That was not right.

But in her surprise that was the least of her worries, Aphrodite was attacking Miaran, the queen.. No... That should not be happening. "No! Don't hurt her..!" She screamed at the co queen angry to see her going after their very own leader.

In the past instances where she healed the woman she was growing attached to her, she wasnt the monster others though of her..she was sweet and it broke her heart to see her being attacked by her own partner. She brought her herbs, ready to help Miaran regardless if she ended up winning or not. "Please..." She muttered to herself.

@Nikandr slips by and Icefang glances over him, approval prominent in her gaze as he moves past her to go gossip amongst the crowd. What a good boy he was. Though her attention moves to @Parthena lingering nearby, the high sovereign issuing a soft, warning growl. "Sit. We're watching today," before fire bursts on the arena. She cackles quietly amongst @Arcania ♔ as their gaze flashes to the Caladan pair briefly. "Yes, that one is Aphrodite. I didn't realize she had such a fire to her. You two would probably get along, she's into the poisons too." A thought to their last encounter when she helped the maned woman search for her flowers.

"How romantic," she coos when it is revealed that the male fighting and the woman called for are married. She had to give it to the boy for being so ballsy. The things one did for young love. How dreamy. Then, their attendance really gets juicy when Aphrodite launches herself at Miaran and another Cove lioness calls out distressed. "Oooo, perhaps this will be a rather short alliance," she chuckles as she leans into Arcania, content on using the larger woman as her 'chair.' It was nice to take the pressure off her paws for a while.

Small lions were rather annoying, Alexander was coming to this conclusion very readily. Or rather, this one was. He'd pushed close, ushering himself forward and attempting to dig his jaws deeper into the Savante's mane.

Forcefully does Alexander attempt to push his head down, hoping to make it harder for the male to obtain any sort of grasp. He wasn't some child who had never fought before. He was a war veteran, a war hero even. There was no way this boy was going to best him so easily.

Teeth do manage to clamp down on his flesh around the middle section of his neck, claws dig into his leg at the same time. In an effort to remove himself from both situations, the Savante lifts the paw being attacked rather abruptly. This causes Haakon's claws to slice further. Blood trickles down his limb, a blossom of bright red can be seen within the stark white of his mane as well.

That paw attempts to push into the side of Haakon's face, claws extended - the Savante shifts his weight at the same time, attempting to use his grip on the fatty flesh of his opponent in an attempt to toss him to the side - somewhat away from him. Alexander can only hope the flash of talons near his eye and or face would assist in this endeavor.
