IC: It was a lovely spring early afternoon. days were steadily heating up but here along the long sandspit the wind off the water kept things pleasantly brisk and cool.

Ahead loomed the stone gates, the entrance to the lands she had (briefly) walked prior. That stint had only lasted a couple days - and had ended a bit embarrassingly.

Although fate drew her back to these shores the young vibrantly hued lioness was not quite ready to face it head on. So no going back there.

Arae decided to seek out something completely fresh and new. Maybe that would mean living in a group, or maybe she would need to go it solo for a while.

Regardless, today was the day she would start crafting her own unique (and hopefully satisfying!) future in these lands.

the spring afternoon had warmed her, the wheat fur on her body practically glowing in the strong midday light, as she wandered through the passage. ghyslaine moved quietly, studying the various scents as she wandered- until she spied a figure in the distance. she would chuff softly, as she approached them- and as she neared, she would smile warmly. "hello!" she offered in greeting. "welcome to amaryllis." she offers.

"i'm ghyslaine, queen of a pride called lorien plains. most come here to look for prides- and i could gladly tell you about mine if that's the information that you seek." she offers, "or i can help you find something else, if that's what you need." she adds happily to chat about whatever.

IC: A chuff pulled curious eyes towards the light coated and fascinatingly marked small lioness heading towards Arae.

'hello!' 'welcome to amaryllis.'

She smiled reflexively and tilted her head slightly to one side in response to the extended greeting. "Hi. Thanks!" the young huntress would respond.

(I mean I've been here before, but no way for you to know that. And welcome back is still welcome.) she thought curiously noting the markings on the other female's face and taking in ... a somewhat familiar pride scent.

Oh... oh shit. Eyes widened just a hair as she continued to listen to Ghyslaine speak. What were the odds?! Could she ...ah... face that? Or was it better to try her luck wandering randomly or seeking out a new pride instead?

" Nice to meet you Ghyslaine. I'm Arae. I, uh. I'm... familiar with Lorien. I was a member for a few days last winder. Before I got my dumb ass lost and ended up to embarrassed to return afterwards." it wasn't the most ... glamourous thing ... to admit. But hell it was true. And might come out sooner or later anyway.

"Is...Olive leading as well? I'm not sure she would want my flaky dumbass back after that undignified split." she felt...genuinely bad and humiliated falling off the face of the lands as she had. And so soon after having been welcomed to the pride. It might be best if she just...

"eef you search for a change of scenery," manon's interjection serves as her introduction as well. her dark body slides onto the scene silently, crimson eyes observing @Arae with interest. from the snippet of conversation that she had caught on her way in, the rogue had some history with lorien plains, but that didn't mean her loyalty there was for certain. it seemed the woman was returning from some time away, and time always had the potential to change loyalties. "my 'ome in wolfbron bluffs ees always een search of strong women to join us." manon starts. "i can tell you more, eef you would like..." figuratively, a hand is reached out for arae to take - an opportunity in tantalizing reach.

For Ghyslaine, the red female is not a face she recognizes, and she immediately treats her as she would any stranger she has ever met. However, she does not miss the widening of the female's gaze, the slightly shocked expression. Ghys wonders why she'd be shocked, but she thinks little of it. Perhaps it was that she was so small? Compared to the female's larger build, Ghyslaine was very slight. Her words, though make the expression make far more sense, and Ghyslaine feels a slight smile curve over her lips. "We all get lost from time to time." She offers kindly.

"Olive is my Sovreign, and I know she would not think any less of you- if Lorien was where you wished to rest your head once more." She says calmly, as another appears. The female carries the scent of Wolfbron, but Ghyslaine does not know her- does not... recall her at all. She is curious, but polite as the female speaks, remaining silent, until she is done. "I'm sure Wolfbron would be an excellent choice as well." She agrees, happily supporting the other pride, and remaining kind, polite.

"Or well, any of the prides to be honest. The summit is ruled by two very fair and kind Queens too." She muses aloud, considering. Whatever Arae may want, she will get as far as Ghys is concerned.

'EEF YOU SEARCH FOR A CHANGE OF SCENERY, MY 'OME IN WOLFBRON BLUFFS EES ALWAYS EEN SEARCH OF STRONG WOMEN TO JOIN US. I CAN TELL YOU MORE, EEF YOU WOULD LIKE...'

So Olive was the Sovereign, and the kind seeming lioness seemed quite certain Arae would be welcome back without judgment or reservation. And then the second arrival, one Arae regarded with curious slit pupiled venom hued gaze.

Wolfbron Bluffs. And the representative who spoke of the pride had a thickly accented voice, tone woven with familiar edges.

For a few moments she considered the options before her silently, giving the choice all the weight it deserved. In the end she shifted slightly a little smile pulling the edges of black lips upwards while looking at @Manon she responds, venturing a guess by flipping languages part ways through her response while doing so.

"Thankyou for the invitation. Its not my nature to run from my past, I will return to Lorien today. Si je trouve que les plaines ne me conviennent plus. J'espère que les Bluffs seront toujours accueillants." **If I find that the plains no longer suit me. I hope the Bluffs will still be welcoming.** Arae offered a polite dip of her crown before shifting attention back to the friendly little lioness who had first approached.

"Thankyou for the kind words, I think ... I'll go back to Lorien. Would you mind leading the way? Maybe telling me about anything that has changed over the last year?" the crimson female requested of @Ghyslaine - because Arae wanted to know the deets. Being caught off guard and surprise was never an enjoyable feeling. She would much rather know what she would be walking into.

When a heavily accented voice spoke, Ghyslaine's gaze shifted to consider a female who scented of Wolfbron. She had not heard the thick accent of the Bluffs in a while, and made a mental note to make a trip there sooner rather than later to ascertain the political ties of the kingdom- no Queendom once more. Ghyslaine is content to allow the female to speak her words, and not interrupt- content to let @Arae make her own choices without any further influence and she is pleased when the female speaks in favor of the Plains. She speaks in the strange language after agreeing to the Plains, and Ghyslaine merely smiles kindly, though she doesn't understand what is being said.

When Arae seems ready, she politely dips her head to the Wolfbrons representative, and speaks. "I wish you well on your journey home. Send my greetings to your Queen." She says contentedly. She looks to Arae, happy to lead the way to the plains, and she begins speaking. "Olive recently stepped back and asked me to take her place as High Sovreign. We have some open ranks, if that is something you may want." A pause, "We do not have any enemies, nor any strong allies though I am working on the latter." She adds with a rueful smile, before going on to share more about what may have changed since Arae's last tenure in the plains.
