hot blood pulsed through his veins, driven by heat and the promise of adrenaline. here, only the yawning wake of sunrise would glisten across the bright horizon; crimson light splaying against dawn as she lifts her gilded crown through the violent crimson heavens. a quietness settles upon the battlefield, thus - the lush aroma of blood mixing against the morning dew. without sound, the hulking wendigo prowls forth, peeling away from teneberous shadows, lean muscularity rippling in predatory stride. centering himself in the middle of the arena, he releases a hungry snarl, calling forth one who would be willing to engage in a bloodletting dance.

Heat.

It burned through his body and made old wounds itch. The creature visited the Pit consistently; searching for the plague rat that was promised for him — for death, for the Mother for nutrients. But how the plague rat eluded him. Deep was the irritant that settled against the curves of old wounds, a constant reminder as to what was coming. He had to find Teo.

The thought was abandoned as the creature continued lounging within the shadows of the stands — dawn approaching and he not at all eager to jump back into the thralls of combat with the sun about to rise high above the horizon. But a darkened beast did beckon to his soul; to enter the fray once more before the sun's fist chased away the children of the moon until that wretched thing dove below the horizon once more.

'Fine, one more.' The creature would inwardly think to himself as he swiftly rose from his lounged position and began to prowl down the stands and closer to the one that beckoned. Vlad would approach on deft paws and finally movement; paws pressing against the firmament as he aimed to approach the male's right side with slackened jaws. Upper teeth would attempt to latch into that spot just behind the male's right ear while bottom teeth would try to seal shut along the side of his neck.

Wordless assault, but Vladizmir didn't particularly feel like talking.

the oppressive hollow's musk fills his nostrils - masculine scents - and sharp movements, detected.  harou turns around in time to feel the other's fangs sliding down the side of his face, rivulets of blood pooling down his temple as vlad's teeth enclose around icy skin.  serrated marks are left down harou's neck and the side of his face. wrathful reverberations thunders from within the wolf's throat, and seeking to retaliate, harou would attempt to reposition himself by turning, hopefully, face-to-face.  harou's right shoulder juts forward, attempting to slam the bony point into vlad's chest.  simultaneously, the huntsman's jaws reach forward too, attempting to snap his fangs around the curve of the beast's throat.

They — beasts entangled in a bloody brawl. There was no mercy to be had, not even as his teeth slashed through the flesh along the stranger's cheek. 'Odd,' the beast would think to himself as the scent of the stranger was connected; he smelled the same as the woman that he fought a few times here. They where all lions of the Oasis, and yet the monster found himself not caring; focusing more on the catharsis that combat provided.

But the relaxation was tinged by pain as a shoulder struck firmly into the middle of his chest and in response hind paws would attempt to push off from the ground as Vladizmir tried to surge forward; to try to throw his weight into the other. He could vividly feel his mistakes as he made them, all things he would have to improve. But words have no place here; instead, the beast finds himself with his opponent's teeth sinking into the flesh along his upper shoulder; near his neck.

His weight would aim to shift rapidly along to his front right leg and hind paws as his front left paw would raise and attempt to smash forcefully against Harou's left cheek with toes spread and claws fully extended in an attempt to hook into flesh.

they twist against one another, vehemence and male aggression blending into chaotic fury. harou can taste his opponent's blood in his mouth, goading the winter titan into a further frenzy. the other's paw comes up suddenly then, slicing harou's cheekbone as blood flies from the open wound, and their oppressive nails partially hooks into harou's icy flesh. the sovereign pulls away, the crimson rivulets now staining harou's porcelain fur, and the painful sensation burns, eagerly; running like hot fire through the wolf's nerves. retaliating swiftly, harou would attempt to headbash the other male, trying to smack his forehead into vlad's face, if he can align their path.

The sickness began to sting his body and muscles earlier, and exhaustion clung to his body more often than not. But he had to continue onwards — finish this squabble and then retreat into the depths of darkness to nurse his wounds and try to fix the itch from the old puncture wounds that the Black left upon his body.

But that thought failed to finish as he felt Harou pull away from his grip, and further still from the violence he wanted to enact upon the stranger's body. But the skull of the other male would smash come forward and smash against his own; momentarily stunning the ebonite lion as the reverberation of flesh and bone makes him wince and blink rapidly. Front left paw would lash out again and further still; trying to strike at the pale lion's ear with claws fully extended.

his bearish head smashes into the other's skull, and there is a dull sensation ringing in his ears, but the winter beast hopes his opponent has taken most of the beating. attempting to reposition himself again, harou falters just enough so that vlad's claws shred at his ear, the blood dripping freely unto his icy visage and staining one side of his mane a violent, garish red. the pain is searing; enveloping him in fiery ruin, but he would fight through it, adrenaline high and nerves tense. attempting to reach forward, harou would try and bite down on vlad's muzzle as his final attempt.

The beast would draw his head away from snapping jaws; fangs tearing flesh along the upper ridge of his muzzle. The creature snarls, weight shifting back as he pivots on his hind right leg in an attempt to untangle himself from twisted limbs and snapping jaws of this newest battle companion. A sharp chuff would be given, him conceding the conflict in favor of retreating to lick his wounds.

"Tomorrow," Vladizmir would utter as he glances down towards some older wounds that he would have to get looked at. "We go again, the winner gains a favor." The Shadow loved his games, the allure of a game of chance with a stranger, the adrenaline that the favor called upon could be anything under the sun. His ears would push up from his skull as he moved to leave the arena.

it ends as swiftly as it'd begun. they disengage, his reigning victor dawned across his masked skull like a phantom crown.  the blood splatters the winter titan's hide, trails of vermillion rivulets staining the porcelain fur there.  words were exchanged from the other beast, but harou has only the mind for the completed task at hand, muscles flourishing with the new wounds and new ache.  dipping his bearish skull, silk tendrils descends harou's face as he nods in finality, acknowledging the other's words.  he removes himself from the man's violent entanglement, muscled flesh twisting away with a parting rumble and serpent's hiss.
