Yuna viciously latches onto Miaran's arm with her teeth sinking deep into the skin and muscle. In a retaliatory move, Miaran lowers her head down, determined in her attempt to sink her own fangs into Yuna's vulnerable neck. Her entire body trembles with adrenaline as she fights to stay upright, her tail thrashing wildly behind her. With a primal instinct driving her, she attempts to use her free sharp front claws to tear at whatever part of the Queen's flesh she can reach.

The intensity of the battle between these two powerful beings is palpable, each determined to emerge victorious no matter the cost. For Miaran, there is no concept of beauty or grace in battle. Only the fierce determination to emerge victorious, to claim the crown that symbolizes power and control. She fights not for glory or recognition, but for the sheer thrill of the fight, the intoxicating rush of blood and adrenaline.

In the end, whether she emerges triumphant or defeated, one thing is certain - Miaran will leave a mark on this night that will never be forgotten. She is chaos incarnate, a force of nature that cannot be contained or controlled. Thunder rattled her ears. Her skull resounded. The echoes of things twisted out of shape. Flashes of lightning left aftereffects on the world like ghouls, pale and faint. Ocean's humidity coated her whiskers. Sniffing at the wind over the sea, she rent her lips apart to rifle the wind over the roof of her mouth. Aside from black flares from a shadowy, stubbed nose, she stood silent.

Until: "War season," she murmured-trilled with that high pitched whine. Not of desperation, but a tornado siren of a sound. Dessicated shore scrubs tore across her chest. She pushed through some, thwarted by others, eventually picking a path around. The lands cleared toward the pride borders. At a walk, ponderous in purpose but light in gait, she approached. She didn't cross the borders. "Poor turn out for a battle. Few want this coast to prosper."

She sat with her pudge spilling over her thighs, hind paws alternating in journeying to her mouth. She picked dry layers from the ill-used hind-claws. Gnawing, jaws tipped. Old sheaths of thick daggers worn out and dropped. Between sessions, to rest her tongue, she listened more still than ever to the telldrop drops of battle. Wheezing, whining, hoarse breaths: the intervals between these quiet events told much, more than the faintest notion of motion could convey to her glazed eyes during winter's dusk.

As the Lagoon's closest neighbor, the call for challenge to the Cove rang out crystal clear across their shared beaches and it was with much interest that Matti made his way along the sandy shores and across the isthmus to its border to see whether or not a new leader would take the throne.

And his interests seemed to be shared by many, as evidenced by the crowd already in attendance, despite the inclement weather. Most present smelled of the same salt air in which they lived, though a few stood out with their varied scents. The wind whipped heavily through his mane and he took a seat short of the border to watch the battle that was already underway between the apparent challenger and reigning queen.

In time, she knew, their knew High Sovereign would be tested. She'd been waiting for it. Though she'd have preferred it to be by someone she was familiar with, perhaps even someone she cared for, this was at least something. With a confident stride, she'd already been on her way from where she'd met him, warring thoughts soothed to a degree. A paw lingered in the air when the call reached her ears. An unfamiliar voice. A new voice. Well, that was going to be interesting.

With a low rumbled chuckle she turned to @Haakon. "Det verkar som om någon delade våra tankar." It seems someone shared our thoughts. Softly spoken words in their shared tongue, a hint of amusement in her tone. Giving him a gentle nudge to follow her, she stepped over the borders and settled on a rock to watch. Apparently the fight had already progressed quite a bit, but she was curious to see the outcome.

He arrives and settles off to the side. His ocean gaze studying all who are there. So many unfamiliar faces. So many faces that want a female to lead. He huffed to himself as he watched things unfold. The fight was interesting, he wasn't above enjoying a fight, no matter who was in it. He looked outward, away from the sandy lands, and wondered if there were any other lands that didn't favor females in such a way. That didn't seem to be the Cove. He would wait for now, allowing himself the time to learn but he knew that his place was. not here among these females. Skie would have to find a new place to build allies. He had yet to come across anyone else from his family and it seemed that there wasn't a strong hold for them here. That was a shame but he would do what he could.

Contours twist, angle themselves under steady rhythmic frenzy of battle. Blood sheds from each of them; feral grunts, snarls, intermixing with their body's capabilities being pushed. Cacophony dims any outside ruckus, those who slip into attendance remain unnoticed. Focus must remain upon the intended goal, lest she fail, lest she let Caladan fall.

A pox on this woman, should this savage stranger succeed taking what she'd just begun to build. Foundations were entirely unstable between she and a few of those who remained present within the cove. Others found her leadership sound, worthwhile against the devilish nature of prides surrounding them. Caladan stood a pillar of light against the dark dawn surrounding them; a formidable fortress such as the seaside cliffs bore weight against the world's bleak summons. Promises of peace, to @Analía, bore responsibility and passion against this feral darkness.

Although she finds her mark, jaws closing around the forearm of Miaran, attempting to drag her off balance, there is the biting plea of fangs into the thick fatty folds across the back of her neck. Reactionary, jaws tried clenching tighter against the forearm, concerned over any pulling the other woman might proceed with in the wake of her newfound hold against the back of Yuna's neck. Toes splay against the dusty pact earth beneath her, decidedly trying to pull forcefully on the front limb, feeling the strain against neck flesh in moving so. The other's claws find themselves slicing lacerations against her cheek, more rivulets springing forth as she attempts to tug the woman hellwards, at least off-balanced enough to find themselves in another promising position.

With unwavering determination, she deliberately allows herself to fall, hopefully at intensifying her grip on Yuna's neck as she plunges down, aiming to pierce through the soft, yielding flesh.

Her hind claws extend to attempt to rake and tear at Yuna's vulnerable underside, a whirlwind of calculated violence. She was drastically late to the party. Both her and @Miaran had spoken of wanting a crown, to rule at each other's side as equals and when she had failed to obtain such a prize, Aphrodite hadn't found her Viper straight after. She had wanted to get her wounds tended to. Sealed away by the plants she did have that could heal her instead of kill her. After she had done that, then Aphrodite would have gone searching for the french woman who had found her way into the Black Widow's cold heart. But that wouldn't be the case as it would seem that Miaran had other plans for them as Aphrodite heard her call for a pride as well.

Leaving the Oasis and traveling to the beach, Aphrodite found herself standing outside of Caladan Cove's borders instead of inside the borders. She was still healing and wasn't about to risk herself getting into a fight. Though her violet jewels narrowed on her lover and the woman who she was fighting. In truth, Aphrodite didn't know much about the Cove other than it was close to the Lagoon in which Isla ruled it nearby. Granted, this wasn't Aphrodite's second choice but who was she to argue with the Viper.

Obsidian. Andal. Illyria. Scilla. They watched. Pyrrha's intense gaze scanned the lions in sight just beyond the borders with immense scrutiny. Memorizing who was here. Who watched. And what they might do afterwards when the dust settled. Be they friend of the rightful rulers in Caladan? Be they just as useless as water for the ocean? Remember remember. Faces. Scents. Painted into her memory with the background sound of Yuna's fight continuing on still. Illyria and Scilla were family to Kvare. Would they feel any loyalty to Yuna and Pyrrha if things went poorly? What was Andal and the Hollow's interests here?

Her mind raced with possibility. If Yuna should fail, did she pull on the connections her step family had in other prides? Did she perhaps seek out the Brook and offer to help them stave off a retake of their new home in return for helping to return her to her seat? If Yuna won, they would need to visit Andal and Obsidian to make sure there were no sympathizers of this no name stranger. So much to think about... so much. Too much. Feeling anxiety growing, and thus far still alone, Pyrrha rose and began to pace while snaking her gaze around. Trying to get eyes on everyone and make sure they knew the heiress was watching what they did this day. Mercy upon those who act against her interests for Pyrrha was already thinking past this day and figuring out what next steps were for any eventuality.

One of the longest, harshest, gazes was saved for @Lagertha who has arrived. Yuna defends us now. Her mother's wife had been a nuisance of late. Her reaction when the dust settled here was of particular interest to Pyrrha, whether those wounds would be cut deeper or if it should all be laid to rest.

@Reti ♔ was in danger.

The calf caught his scent a little bit away and started to trail after. The sound of lions fighting played in the backdrop and Ardghal quickly twisted his gaze towards Miran and Yuna, locked in combat before refocusing upon Reti. Then his companion sat and that was what Ardghal was waiting for. The youth would pretend to be a lion. Gleefully he bent his knees and tried to prowl towards Reti from behind. Step by step, inch by fun-loving inch. Just a bit closer!

There.

Ardghal's mouth would open as the calf lunged forward, drool and spital flying as he tried to lightly nip the tip of Reti's tail and apply a heavy layer of froth to it. The calf had a habit of showing up at the worst times, and yet he was none the wiser that @Andraesa was already here, hidden somewhere nearby. But no thoughts of mother came into his head as he focused solely on trying to engage the Hollow's male in play.
