She’d been young when her mother had forsaken the children she had bore Seneca Miroslav to be with her other, secret family. It had devastated her heart then. A landslide broke it again when her husband had been presumably killed during the event. More and more misery followed: her beloved Oasis being ripped from her family by that Dieudonné-serving brown-noser; her brother being poisoned and nearly dying to defend it; and now, her own inability to protect her childhood home when yet another enemy struck. No sooner than she had taken over for her brother during the loss of his wife and son, she’d been challenged. Defeated.

Initially, she’d been angry and rather humiliated. She’d been wounded in her effort — scratched and bloodied — but it was her confidence and pride that had taken the worst beating, and it had not yet completely healed in the weeks that had come and gone. She doubted she’d be rid of her bitterness anytime — not until that bastard was ousted and she could return home. It would only be a matter of when he would be chased away: if not by the claws of another, then by the desert. The sand had driven out her enemies before and it would again.

In the meantime though, she decided she would simply have to visit it, in the same way she had when Aeistrios had been stinking it up. If she could not have the Oasis, she’d happily ruin it for those who would keep it from her.

Finally, following weeks of anger and grief, Léonie Miroslav smirked as she made her way through the skeletons, looking for the perfect skull to drag her claws across. She wanted them sharpened and ready for the mischief she had planned.

Living amidst others in a pride most certainly had its benefits both socially and practically. Reti found the liveliness of other voices nearby interesting, the teamwork during hunts enjoyable - however there were certainly times he wished for something less populated and quieter.

It was times like this, when he wanted a place more open and less occupied, that Reti went for walks. And one of his favorite haunting and hunting grounds was the boneyard. He very much enjoyed looking for interesting new pieces to add to his collection.

Not to mention he had the tendency to run into the most interesting people in this unlikely location.

Like today for instance. Reti was pleasantly suppressed when his leisurely walking and prodding at bone piles led to spotting a familiar figure in the middling distance. Brows arch high as his head lifts and a surprised greeting chuff sounds from the swirled lion's chest. It had been a while. And it was good to see @Léonie around.

"Léonie." he called with a friendly rumble. It seemed she had healed well.

The bone was dense and withstood the raking of her claws, which she paused to examine. A familiar voice pulled her away from her inspection though, and before she had even turned her head around to look for him, Léonie was smiling. @Reti ♔ was not a lifelong friend, nor was he an especially close companion of hers. But she liked what she’d seen, and welcomed him happily. “Reti,” the dark imp hummed back as she came around to properly face him, grinning. “How are you and that little hairball of yours?” She wondered if the yearling he’d taken under his wing was doing better now, if her mood had improved any since her release from the Oasis.

IC: She turned to face him, a smile shown to be set upon her features. Taking in the expression on the smaller feline caused the faint smile on his lips to tug upwards into a more obvious signal of pleasure.

'How are you and that little hairball of yours?'

This earned a soft laugh and his head tilted to one side slightly, locks of red tipped dark mane sliding briefly across his eyes. "I am doing well. The present High Soverign of the Hollows. Ani is good - I am sure she would be ...so pleaseeed - to know you asked, and using such an endearing nickname." the last part was spoken in a teasing almost impish if slightly dry tone.

"And yourself? I am pleased to see you have healed, and remain in the lands." He was unsure what had become of her brother, so seeing one of the pair looking well was gratifying. He was after all, still grateful for their cooperation when it came to Ani.
