She had carefully plucked the feathers from the nest of birds she'd managed to kill. The kill had been... messy, she'd knocked them into the river- and they had fallen stunned into the water.... where she'd fished them out and groomed the feathers dry. How, didn't matter- now she had a large bundle of them, and some of the softest moss and leaves she could find, and she carried her stuffed bundle towards some of the sleeping dens- seeking out someone who would want the gifts to improve their sleeping areas.

She was still too young to do much for the pride, but she wanted to do something and making the beds more comfortable- was something she could do. Tucked into the moss and feathers were soft sweet smelling flowers and she figured if anyone would appreciate it- it would be the matriarch who had brought her here. So she moved towards her den, content with her bundle- her tail curled over her back in joy.

the cold sunlight was unyieldingly bright. winter weaved its claws through the jungle, cooling their usually tropical haunt into something far milder. as did many of ludivine's clutch, vouivre preferred a more nocturnal schedule; beasts of the night, content to hide themselves away in daylight hours, eagerly awaiting each nightfall. even now, they spent much of their time in their parents' den - though soon they would be expected to branch out into their own, ans they were spending more and more time away, each child sporadic in their visits.

so, when a visitor arrived, vouivre was sprawled just within the mouth of the den, half-napping. the slumbering dragonling.

one ear swiveled forwards, and a sliver of her blood red gaze cracked open. third eyelid abated, pupils shrinking in the sunlight. she set her sights on @Morley.

the foundling was larger than she had been before, to a degree, though she did not seem to have grown as much as them. she was clean. she was not quite so skinny. silently, vouivre rose from the ground, and then dropped her chest and stretched out shadowed forelimbs in an overly relaxed stretch. morley was no threat to her, and each languid movement was orchestrated to remind the other girl of it. "what is that?" came vouivre's barely interested tone, though her magpie gaze betrayed her - morley carried a something, and whatever the something was that she had, vouivre wanted it.

The feathers tickled her nose, as the gentle breeze ruffled them. Morley's eyes watered with the effort of withholding a sneeze, her nose twitching in frustration. Yet, she pressed onwards through the undergrowth towards the dens. She had just finally set the bundle down and let out a massive sneeze with an ah-choo sound that echoed around her when she realized she wasn't alone any longer.

Though also young, this female was far larger than she. Vouivre was massive compared to Morley's meager medium stature- that was already smaller given malnutrition and... youth. Yet it seemed that this other cub... grew at a rate far faster than she. A gray paw moves to protectively lay over the bundle she lets sit at her paws- to keep the breeze from blowing it away- as she looks to Vouivre with a warm smile.

"Feathers and soft moss! To make beds more comfortable." She chirps happily. Where her new-found-family seemed to be more nocturnal, Morley was... often awake through the days on an opposite sort of schedule. "I got them for Ludivine but... do you need some to make your bed soft?" She asked, wanting to do whatever she could to make the other cubs her friend- to give and give.
