each breath fell like religion, like reckoning. the wendigo breathes in the cold, morning air, relishing in the sharp, prickling sensation that embraced his lean physique. tumultous clouds would shift, overhead, serenading thick, grey skies; an autumnal sweep of a tantalisingly, cool breeze would bring strange fragrances against his expanded nostrils, as he drew in deep breath after deep breath. up here, the air tasted sharp. tasted delicious. tasted like winter. for awhile, harou takes in the magnificent view, his bloodshot gaze scanning the vibrant earth below. up here, he could see everything; mountains, lakes, rivers, and more.

wordlessly, he would seek to turn away from the rocky outcrop, his talons scraping against brumal stone, every edge of the wandering leviathan laced in an icy, wicked allurement. up, here, among the clouds, it almost feels like winter. so he presses upward, hoping to climb to the very top of the mountains, where the view might be even more breathtaking.

The mountain winds flew against her red coat. Forcing her eyes to close every once in a while. This wasn't the usual place for her to be. Even though the summit was a mountain, it was mostly covered in snow. But this one seemed... taller, to say the least. This one was mostly rocks and not so steady. But she didn't want to let that deter her from checking it out; she went carefully through the pebbles and rough soil.

She looked into the horizon. Amaryllis from up here had a different air. To think all those apparently small places—those soft plains and sun-bathed land—were surrounded by war and violence. Prides in war and blood-stained grounds.

She took a deep breath, taking in the breeze. This was breathtaking. She sighed as she walked further into the heights of the mountain. Until she came to a slop, and with claws gripping on it she took the chance to see the landscape, to see Amaryllis unfold before her eyes.

Barely paying attention to anything else.

we all feed on tragedy,
it's like blood to a vampire

like a spiraling citadel reaching heavenward, the ominous mountains beckons for him; sirenic whispers against a depraved mind; the hungry push and pull of nature's yearning, leading him to climb higher and higher. each step would be laced with power, with predatory fervency; muscular limbs surging forward as adrenaline pumped through his veins. his thirst for adventure and exploration would never be sated, and like a rabid hellhound, he treks heavenward, pressing his physique to the cold, shadowy penumbra as the path before him becomes more treacherous and unpredictable. with the cold, heimal breeze laying caressive against his angular face, the hulking wendigo stalks gracefully, feeling the winds tug and pull against his long, silken mane, against his icy skin.

obsidian talons click over rugged terrain, taloned-toes slipping above the slabs of granite as up, up, up the leviathan climbs, higher and higher. this was a different rush than hunting, and it brought him great satisfaction, being able to climb such great heights. the beauty presented to him is breath-taking as he makes that final step forward, once more looking outward, surveying the landscape with cold, hawkish calculation. it's then he'll notice the blur of vermillion fur, a slender curvature formed in the female flesh, @Zahra. he makes no move towards her, but his voice, when it comes, falls coldly with sharp warning.

"it's treacherous up here." watch your step.

Zahra allowed the breeze to fill up her lungs, taking in the fragance hidden amongst the air. Her curls were slightly moved by the wind, which wasnt too soft. It was intense, but not enough to be bothersome. Claws dug firmly into the rock, knowing this terrain couldn't be trusted. One had to be smart and not seek danger when it wasnt worth it. As she twisted to go back into her steps, her pink gaze landed on the red one of the males who had also been before Amarylli's landscape.

A warning was all she got from the male, whom she had never seen before. But she wasnt afraid of new encounters. She could fend for herself. "Treacherous indeed," Just as much as some lions who called Amryliss home. It seemed this land attracted a lot of scum and jerks. Jerks like nature itself.

She jumped to a more steady step. Eyeing him calmly, her red features left no trace of fear or nervousness. "Enjoying the danger too?" Just like she did?

his gaze turns towards @Zahra, assessing her features. studying the lines of her alluring face. she's red, his favourite color. red, like the color of blood. like the color of flesh. a haunting smile curls his lips, softening the edges of his angular, criminal features. she has a soft, melodious voice, too; one that reminds him of the very winds that surrounded them.

"yes," replies harou, answering her without any hesitation, whatsoever. he loved dangerous things, he liked taking risks. his paws shifted beneath him, his talons scrapping against brumal rock as the cold surface of the earth purred beneath his muscular form. fearless. daring. then he steps away from the outcrop, moving further in towards the mountains. his tail flicks against his haunches, casually, a lazy yet predatory gesture. a soft invitation towards the woman dressed in fine, red curves.

"i love the mountains. i love the cold."

As someone who worked with poison and sneaked into places she was not supposed to be, she was not afraid of risk either; danger was just a part of life, something she saw as exciting and interesting. a

She observed his gesture, inviting. She slowly made her way to stand by his side but keeping a respectful distance, just to not look too easy. Or even needy.

She returned her eyes to the place she called home, where she was born. "To think such pretty view hides the true nature of these lands." She commented, referring to the constant war between prides, death, maims, and more acts that for those without an strong heart and guts would prove to be a hole challenge.

Yet she was ready to take on those many obstacles life had always in store for them all. 'I live in the cold but the ocean will always be my first love"

As the moon ascends
The wolves come out
to see the end

from the flames of the fire
i feel you crawl into my bed
throwing shapes at the sky, i watch you crying into me

undertones of icy nonchalance veils his predatory demeanour. there is a strange casualness to this conversation, an easiness, that harou fervently leans into. he is not really one for pleasant talk, finding it unnecessary, so he merely acknowledges @Zahra's words with a cold, decisive stare. she had spoken truth, that these lands would be in constant turmoil, depraved cycles of violence and momentary softness; the lands and their kingdoms, in a constant spinning oroborus, as the serpent devours its own tail.

he watches her step closer towards him, then, the rocks shifting beneath his own feet as his ebony talons tap along their cold slab, but he doesn't move from his position. his red eyes trails her form with a ghoulish emptiness, a half-curved smile that revealed nothing.

"where do you live?" he questions her, finally, his intrigue building the moment she'd mention the word cold. it was his preferred place to hunt and roam, among the icy tundras, but lately, he's been lurking in the desert, finding its inhospitable lands absolutely mysterious and strangely sirenic.
