Rogue life had its ups and downs, but one plus was not having a long list of rules to abide by. The nearly two year old could go about his day without having to remember alliances and enemies, having no one scent clinging to his fur other than his own musk. Dual colored eyes observe his surroundings, paws watching where he stepped in the jungle. Birds and bugs of all kinds made noise, making his ears flicker and cup forward in attentiveness.

Fall
Though the air is still warm and the sun is bright, the summer is beginning to wane and, with it, the humidity has started to die down. It is a welcomed relief for the inhabitants of the jungle, as more moderate weather will mean that the rainforest will not feel quite as stifling, as well as those from the desert, who's early autumn will see calm winds and mild nights. For the rest of the peninsula, the change in seasons will be gradual, hinting towards the colder months that are soon to come.

Amaryllis' discovered prides
growing up sucks

He was feeling lonely. Having only himself to occupy his time was becoming a bore. He often wondered what his brothers were up to - if they were still even in Amaryllis - as well as his parents. Saladin often thought of them, wondering how they were doing or if they were still even alive. It was an odd feeling, to think that way, but it was always where his mind went to. The Svend-Tollaire knew he should probably seek out his brothers, but did e want to stay wherever they were staying? Did he want to be tied down to a pride right now?

The biggest inconvenience in finding his brother was having no idea where to start looking. Saladin could have been anywhere in Amaryllis and worse yet, could have been on the move. Arryn wasn't exactly renowned for his speed and catching up to him could possibly be an issue, but lo and behold if he didn't almost immediately run face-first into his brother's ass as he hurriedly swept through the jungle. Shit. That was so convenient he briefly believed in a god.
Fortunately, that didn't last long.
“Yo, bitch, come join this band with me. I have no idea where Blue has fucked off to,” he said with a flick of his wrist and a shrug. It still stung. “I originally wanted to grab a pride to protect her. But this place could be home. No prides, no politics. Not until we're older and have a desire for that, I guess. But you and my friend Allavine, you should join. Safety in numbers and all that.” He paused here. “I thought I would have more time to come up with a recruitment speech.” Hopefully his lack of finesse would only make him endearing or something.

He was a bit surprised by the sudden appearance of @Arryn, but Saladin should have known someone was coming upon him, and fast, by all the noise he had made. Being lost in your own mind seemed to muffle out the world around you it seemed. The near adult swings around so that he could face his brother, two toned eyes looking him over and noticing that he seemed to be doing quite alright for himself. "A band?" Saladin echoes, a brow rising at the word. "What, is that like a pride but..." Voice trails off, trying to find any pros of a band versus a pride but coming up empty pawed.
"Where's this band at?" Ever the curious creature, the Svend-Tollaire decided to take the bait. It didn't hurt to learn about this band, and if he didn't like the way it sounded Saladin wasn't being forced to join... Unless Arryn tried to drag him back to wherever this band called home. Now that would be a funny sight to see.

Arryn knew in that moment he would never be a solid recruiter. Socializing wasn't exactly his thing and if he couldn't even string together a coherent thought in front of a family member, he had no idea how he was supposed to go out and mingle with strangers. Claiming made a lot more sense to him despite the possibility of retaliation. That, and he doubted his mother would approve.
"Yeah, it's basically a pride but.. without the politics. Big group. The prides can all go fuck themselves," he said with a dismissive flick of his wrist. "And it's actually not far from here. There's just.. a lot of cubs right now. The leaders have a litter." He shrugged. "I like it so far."

It was quite humorous to the Svend-Tollaire on how his brother tried to group his words into sentences. Well, they did make sense, at least some of them. "What did a pride ever do to you?" Comes Saladin's retort, a brow rising in genuine curiosity. Aside from their home being ripped away from them when they were young, Saladin didn't really think prides could be that bad when so many lions lived in them. "Wouldn't a band want to make sure no prides messed with them?" Wasn't there always politics involved one way or another? While he waited for his brother to reply his haunches would recline, making himself a little more comfortable while he and his brother had such a riveting conversation about whether or not he should join some sort of band.
