She'd come here in search of some interesting plants and to hone down what some of the plants in the area did, since there were so many. She knew what angel's trumpet did, after all, but there were other plants with white flowers in the area that might well have a different effect. Like the pair of white flowered plants she had before her now.

Hmm, no way to find out without testing it, I suppose, she commented, mostly to herself. They were definitely different types of plant, because the flowers were different shapes and the leaves looked different as well, but as for what they did... eh.

While it wasn't the best of ideas to test things on herself, she did have various poison remedies as well, so she began to work on grinding one of the white flowered plants into a paste, careful to separate the various parts of the plant out so that she would know exactly what part had what effect. Hopefully she didn't wind up making herself horrendously ill just because she had neglected to capture a rabbit or something small to test on instead.

Sersie was gone. The lagoon was gone. Abdul wasn't entirely sure where he would be going next. However, his first train of thought was to go and find Meisia. He had taken her into the Lagoon and he felt like it was his responsibility to watch out for her. Granted this was the farthest place from the Lagoon and he found himself huffing in response. His tiny form would bounding through the thicket until he found himself catching a familiar scent and moving towards it. Abdul heard her words and chuckled slightly at them, even glancing around her when he got close enough. What are you testing, @Arcania ♔?

She wasn't listening for the pitter patter of tiny paws, more tuned into listening for the approach of something lion sized, so naturally Abdul took her by surprise. Though that was more due to the fact that she always spotted him in desert regions and not out here in the grove. Her ears perked as she looked towards him, favoring him with a rare, honest slight smile.

Fancy meeting you here. This plant. I'm not certain what it is, or what it does, she'd admit, indicating the white flowered plant she was working on crushing. I think it's called horse chestnut, but I could be wrong on that.

She looked over to him as she worked, ears perking again but this time in curiosity. So, out for a change of scenery?" He seemed like he was more at home in the desert, so it was interesting to her to find him out here. Or for him to find her out here, she supposed.

His ears twisted on top of his head as he would listen to her speak about the plant that she was looking at. His jewels locked on to the flower before them, studying it as she began to explain that it may be called a Horse Chestnut but even Abdul wasn't entirely sure about that either. I've never seen it, to be honest with you, I don't normally come to the thicket or grove. And he didn't, not all the time to know the plants in this territory. But then the subject went to the scenery and he chuckled, I've been changing my scenery quite a bit honestly, but now I'm not apart of a pride so I'm just... exploring. He would explain to @Arcania ♔.

She listened to him as she worked, turning her attention from the mysterious plant to the antidotes she had with her. Garden cress and oil palm served the same purpose it was true, but she wanted to take no chances. She worked on smashing them into a paste as she considered @Abdul's words.

It's nice enough here, but it's a far cry from the desert, she commented. She didn't have much of a preference for where she lived, if she was being honest. She cared more for who she lived with.

His statement of now not being part of a pride implied he had been in one, though she'd never noticed the scent of one on him. It seemed he was quite the skilled little assassin, just as she was. What pride did you call home? she asked, curious. There had been a couple in recent months that had fallen. I would suggest you could come to the Bluffs, but a tiny male such as yourself I'm afraid the Dieudonne would try to eat alive. He might be able to run and hide quite well, but no one could run forever.

I do prefer the desert. He would admit, chuckling at the thought that he had gone from the desert sands to the ocean sands and only found himself without a home all over again. He needed to find a place for Meisia so that she wasn't left out here for someone to snatch and held prisoner all because of her name. Massive ears twisted on top of his head as he watched @Arcania ♔ work on whatever it was that she was working on. He was curious, interested and very attentive about how she was crushing the plant into a paste, his head tilting on occasion curious on what she planned to do with it.

But then she was asking questions and Abdul would blink and glance up towards the lioness and shrugged his shoulders. I was part of the Oasis and the Lagoon at one point in my life. Once again he went from the desert sands to the sands of the ocean. But she mentioned the bluffs and he chuckled nervously, I've seen your pride mates in battles, I'd like to keep my hide. And he really would.

You do seem to be built for it, she commented. The desert was his natural home, and just as she would be shocked to find a flamingo in the frozen wasteland up north, she would be surprised to see him elsewhere. Though there was only the one desert pride, and whoever ruled there might not be his cup of tea.

I'd rather you kept it as well, she said without really thinking about it, which was downright astonishing coming from her, admitting that she actually gave more than two shits about another. Well, perhaps whenever mother challenges for a pride you could consider joining, she offered. Though I'm not sure where it will be. She would certainly give him the option, though. Then again, it's not as though being a loner is the worst thing to be. He could surely fend for himself given how adept he was at running around in a pride filled with lions.

He took her compliment with a small smile on his face though that smile seemed to fade when she agreed about keeping his hide. Another compliment perhaps and it caused him to glance over towards @Arcania ♔ when she had spoken. I didn't realize your mother was here. Granted, she had never mentioned her mother so Abdul had honestly thought that perhaps her mother had died long ago but he was wrong in his assumption. Thankfully he had never spoken about Arcania's mother, didn't even think to ask so he didn't look like a dumbass for thinking her parents were dead. Well when she does take a pride, come find me and I'll come take a look to see if I'll join. He would state, at least he would give it a look and see. It isn't the worst thing, especially since I've been apart of two different prides and both have been lost.

Technically I suppose she is not my mother by blood, but she is my father's mate and I've far more respect for her than for my blood mother, Arcania commented. Not that it was a very high bar to clear, that. She'd all but forgotten the woman's name at this point, and she'd certainly forgotten the surname she had been born with before she had met her father and been given the X'uekai surname she now so proudly carried.

Ah yes, prides seem to come and go so quickly these days, with a few exceptions. The Bluffs had long withstood its challengers. The Summit as well. And the Hollow had gone through several long runs. Oh, and the Mire, she supposed. Sometimes it's easier just to be a loner and not have to deal with all the drama. Though it's far more fun to observe it. At least for her.

Speaking of drama, I think this is ready to be tested. I don't suppose you've heard any small prey wandering about while we've been talking? she asked, deciding her presumed antidote was prepared as well. It was always good to know how to undo a poisoning, if only in case of accidentally ingesting it oneself. She might have to do it on purpose in order to test what the plant did if she couldn't find something small to test it on.

She spoke of the woman who wasn't her mother but should've been. That she had a lot more respect for the woman then she did for her blood mother and Abdul wasn't sure how he felt about it. He didn't really know much about his own mother. He knew some, remembered the glimpses of the female who had helped raise him until he was old enough to fend for himself and he came here. The thought was there and then he was shaking his head to get rid of it. Well, I'm not sure what to say. He would admit to her then before hearing about the prides.

The fun is definitely there. He would admit, a chuckle forming from his chest before he would shrug. I think I'm going to stay a loner for a bit. I want to help a friend out but myself, I think I'll get stick to the deserts. He would admit. Ears twisting at her words and he fell silent until he heard something, You'd be in luck. I did hear something, just over there. And he would point over towards the small bush that was nearby as it moved and a little rabbit poked out.
