Soft pink eyes would stay closed as he laid sphynx-like upon a higher rock, ears twitching every now and then as sounds ricocheted throughout the gorge and to him. The otherwise silence was another reason why Sabre decided to choose the gorge to take some r&r. Was there a chance another would come by? Probably, even though he was just about in the middle of nowhere, but this place seemed to have a knack of having others gravitate toward his presence.

Summer
Summer is in full swing now, with clear skies, warm nights, and ample sunshine! As such, the deserts begin to grow dry, the shores remain a blissful escape, the north is spared with cooling winds, and humidity continues to rise in the jungle. Rain and storms are long forgotten troubles by now, which is both a virtue and a vice during the heat of the season.

It was an odd place to come and relax, even he could admit it. But the sun's constant rays beating down on him was both relaxing and a bit distressing. The guard dog had more fur than the average lion, and with this brought on him getting hotter quicker. But the way the heat warmed him from the inside out, untensing sore muscles and giving him a sense of relief. Twin tails tap the rocky surface below him, long claws stretching out as his toes flexed, scraping at the rock that were underneath them. The vibration that coursed through his forelimbs from the action makes his upper lip peel backward in a silent snarl, obvious he did not enjoy the feeling.
The woman breathed out very slowly, trying to figure out why her legs felt like jelly. The wide gorge yawned before her like a wound in the earth, red and dusty. She winced, reminded of the deep healing slice on her neck. A paw gently probed at the carefully placed bandages that still wrapped around around her neck. She had been given strict instructions to not move her head to much, to be gentle. It was proving harder then she initially anticipated. It felt as if all of her joints kept catching on each other, her movements were not smooth or soft. She jerked and twitched, as if posed by an otherworldly force. The movements had strained on the frail healing skin. Thin prickles of blood leaked out from beneath the leaf wraps.
She had a vague sense that she was tumbling. Or that she had been tumbling. It was hard to place the sensation, the lurching of her stomach despite her feet being firmly planted upon the ground. Everything whirled.
Falling, falling, falling, falling, falling...
She fixed the abyss of her gaze onto the sturdy form of someone ahead of her. Forcing her legs to lift and step and lift and step. He was higher then she, almost monolithic against the red rocks and the sky. Her stiff and jerky walk halted next to his rock, eyes fixed ahead beyond them both at the expanse of red and shadows where the earth opened. She was silent, face passive, despite the entire nausea that swirled in her stomach.

As if the Gods above read his mind would he hear the paw steps of another growing closer. His slowly blink open as he observes his surroundings, a brow rising when they didn’t land on any one in particular. Sabre began to wonder if he had imagined the steps until his lifted his head a little higher, now being able to see a portion of another. “The view is better up here,” he calls out to them, tail tips thumping the ground where they lay. Nose twitches as the slightest smell of metallic hits him, brows now furrowing into a worried expression. “Are you okay?” Was it coming from them? The colossal moves himself so that he is now sitting, his head peering over the edge of the rock he sat upon so that he could see the other better. Pink eyes take note of the wraps around the other’s neck, making Sabre wonder if whatever wound was underneath them was still fresh and bleeding.
