Thruum moved in his usual silence as he stepped beyond the mouth of the den. The dark child paused as his feet landed in the cold snow that fell upon the ground outside. A curling of his lip betrayed the visible disgust he felt at knowing his usual method of finding his way around was going to be muffled by the 'white' his mother had taught them of.

Though he was confident in the arrangement of the items within the den, beyond the mouth of their home it was still a work in progress. Slowly, the child would shuffle his front foot forwards, toes splayed as he pushed the 'white' out of the way to feel the different terrain of the Bluffs. It was in this shuffling, 'sweeping' gesture that Thruum would find his way along a trail of Wolfbron. Where he was going? No clue.

His goal? Learning. The youth's ears swiveled as he would occasionally feel the subtle change of wind resistance on his whiskers and would give a soft chuff - listening to the echo off the rocky faces to determine a change in direction.

He would be a year old soon. Just a few more months and then he'd be expected to help with the pride, and would take on more responsibility. Mother had been preparing him for months now, so he was somewhat ready for it, but he also knew his training would only intensify when the time came, and not only that he would be watched by the other member of the pride at that time.

So when he had an opportunity to sneak away and get some time for himself, he took it.

He happened upon Thruum as he made his way out into the pride, pausing to watch his younger uncle making his way. Temero didn't understand that the boy couldn't see, so he was admittedly a bit confused by what he was doing.

Idly, without really thinking about it, he scooped up some snow in his paw and flung it at the boy, not aiming to make impact with him but intending for it to go over his head and maybe rain down on him. They couldn't wrestle to play, but maybe they could do something else.

The child was moving with deliberate placements of his paws. He would spread his toes through the cold snow and try to feel the hard ground beneath. It was the subtle crunch of another form in the snow that had him slowing his movements, ear twitching towards @Temero though he was unaware just who it was making the sounds.

As the youth focused on the task at hand, he heard an audible scuffing that he had come to learn was the sound of the 'snow' packing and then... nothing. Except cold chunks landing up on his back. Ears flatten as the youth turned his head towards where he heard the other lion, u seeing eyes 'staring' at a location to the left of the other. Close - but no cigar Thruum.

The reaction that he got wasn't the one he expected, mostly because he expected more than nothing at all. But instead his younger uncle didn't even look at him at first, instead acknowledging his presence with little more than a flick of his ear. Even when the snow came down upon him, he didn't look at him. Temero frowned slightly, more out of confusion than displeasure. He doubted Thruum was being dismissive by not acknowledging him, but what was the reason then? He hadn't spent enough time around his grandfather to understand.

Guess a snowball fight is out, he commented nonchalantly, because apparently (to him) the other boy wasn't interested. Ignorant as he was, he was still chill about the situation. You going somewhere in particular or...? Wherever he was going, he wasn't going there fast, that much was certain. But, again, no comment. He wasn't about to start sharpening his tongue on his family.

She had left the cubs in the den, treating herself to a early hunt as she made her way back into the territory, a fresh hare dangling from her jaws. Ivory ears prick forward as the beast pauses a distance from her den hearing the familiar voice of @Temero calling about a snowball fight. Perhaps he was interacting with one of the children. She decides to take a detour to go the long way towards the den in an attempt to approach the children from behind so that they do not sense her. She stops in the distance when they come into view, Icefang tossing the kill several feet away as she crouches onto her belly to help conceal herself in the snow. She is curious to observe their interactions, noting the snow that laces @Thruum's back. So it seems Temero had tried to throw some snow as he had observed her do to his mother. She watches quietly from the distance, wondering if they would eventually notice her or stumble upon the first kill several feet away.

Walkin. He frowned at @Temero's question, wondering why the boy needed to know where he was going. Thruum shifted, thumping his rear onto the ground and dislodging some of the snow. As the red lion would speak, his younger uncles unseeing eyes tracked slowly closer towards him. Whats a snowball fight?

Though Thruum really didn't care what one was - it seemed cold.. but he did want to keep the other talking so he could better narrow down where his voice was in relation to the scents and subtle adjustments of wind around a physical form. As of yet, he'd failed to notice @Icefang ♔ lurking nearby.

He absolutely didn't notice @Icefang ♔ yet, so focused upon his conversation with @Thruum. He seemed a bit... unwilling to talk about what he was doing. Temero might think he was trying to hide something if he wasn't used to that sort of thing from his mother. So instead he shrugged slightly in acceptance of the brusque response. He did notice that Thruum seemed to very slowly be looking in his direction, and something started to percolate in the back of his mind.

He didn't have it quite figured out yet, though, so he approached as he spoke and lifted a paw to attempt to brush off some of the snow that had gathered on his back from earlier. You like... take a pile of snow in your paw and try to hit someone with it, he explained. It's more fun to build stuff out of it though, I think. I made mom this little like, snow den for her herbs and stuff. That had taken him the better part of an afternoon, since it had been hard to figure out how to make it without it falling in on itself.
