The Snake and the Flower

It was deception and greed that first drew a young @Hubert Stärke over @Solanum's path, a chance meeting within a garden of secrets that grew to become so much more than it first seemed. Long has the Prince believed the opposite sex to possess flighty, unreliable natures - and yet this lovely flower remained when he needed her most, surviving even the coldest days, the sweetest of ambrosias dripping from her thorns to further entangle them both in the web of their own making.

Now, the flames of their infatuation shall usher in the arrival of four children, for better or for worse.

Barring any drastic events, these cubs will be born into EM amongst their very large, extended family, who they will likely be in closer daily contact with than their Kriger-Latsym relatives in IS who, uh, might find family visits a bit awkward to orchestrate (but not impossible.) Though they will not be born as Royals themselves, the impress the importance of the Stärke name will be impressed upon them, along with all the expectations that come with it.

The Stärke have traditionally been a patriarchal family, favoring strength and ambition, which are qualities that Hubert will seek to instill in them alongside his own manipulative talents. The girls of this litter will still be expected to keep up with their male counterpart(s*), and be capable of twisting situations to their advantage. Solanum will be the more nurturing of the two parents, whereas Hubert will be stricter and more critical of the children as they grow. He views them as an extension of himself, and as such, he considers it important that their actions do not reflect poorly on him in the public eye. Privately, however - Chaotic evil alignments are strongly encouraged here.

While they will be taught to be loyal to their kin and encouraged to show King @Bruno ♔ respect in public, behind closed doors, Hubert will subtly remind them that their true loyalties belong with him above all else. The fourth Prince has long desired more tools to aid him in his schemes...

All trades are welcome, with an emphasis put on sneaky or fighting-type trades! Medic is also an option that can be learned from Solanum.

*You may also gender-swap as you like, though if you'd then like to specifically play the first-born son...make a note of it, hehe.

She wasn't afraid of the dark when she was a little girl. It always took her by the hand when her prayers didn't work. Her home consisting of hidden corners and the playground where monsters often lurked. Laurel would always prefer to be in the woods, with her hair tangled amongst the leaves, vines, and forbidden branches. She wasn't like other girls her age, or even other children. She bloomed in the darkness. Laurel will forever be a loner, a solitary queen. Always wanting to be heard through her words, but comfortable with not being seen. In those deep wells of solitude is where you'll find her, dancing with her demons and covered in ink. The place she keeps her treasured things, her secrets and thoughts, and keepsake box full of black wings.

Her fire is meant to be loved by the wild. It's not meant to be understood by the weak. The beast inside her will never be tamed over someone that doesn't have the courage to see the beauty in her chaos. If someone were to ask Laurel why she embraces the dark, why she thrives there, she would say "I do not embrace the darkness. I see a beauty there that you are incapable of seeing." She is feral and wild, untamed and unashamed. She cannot be tamed, cannot be controlled.

personality: desire to please perhaps not the first born but the determination to be noticed. to stand apart from the rest, to not be looked down on for his small size. shrewd and calculating, sharp tongued and quick witted. a mind who is sharper than his body- a brain sharpened by knowledge absorbed instead of tooth and claw ability. not blatantly cruel, but not the kindest soul, more indifferent to the fates of others unless he can calculate some sort of advantage.
