Fall
Though the air is still warm and the sun is bright, the summer is beginning to wane and, with it, the humidity has started to die down. It is a welcomed relief for the inhabitants of the jungle, as more moderate weather will mean that the rainforest will not feel quite as stifling, as well as those from the desert, who's early autumn will see calm winds and mild nights. For the rest of the peninsula, the change in seasons will be gradual, hinting towards the colder months that are soon to come.

Seems like a hot spot, doesn't it? she asks as she strolls over to @Saladin once she spots him. Not quite sure if any of the others that she had played the game with before were present. There were far too many lions here to appropriately see all of them. As far as she knew @Asbjørn and @Sæunn were not present but perhaps that might change. Daneri couldn't quite get too close for fear of interrupting the lions that the Svend-Tollaire was already encircled around. She was happy to linger behind, wondering if he was interested in pursuing the game again while they semi-watched the battle or if he might be more interested in partaking in a game of social chess with the lions he was encompassed by.BG — ART — CODE

[[AO joining thread in progress, would have been living here already]]
The promise of violence was almost always enough to draw him out of whatever crevice he occupied at any given time. It was just too hard to resist the call of the spectacle, and the chance to indulge a little himself. And it was even harder to resist when he knew there were no particular prides or lions that were off limits aside from those who also called Andal home.
While there was already a crowd when he arrived - casual and unconcerned - Maō simply assumed Aeistrios was taking his time in attending for dramatic effect. Disappointingly, there was very little violence happening so far, and few Oasis members compared to the spectators. Strange gaze skimmed the crowd, landing on each and every one who had stepped over the borders as the beast smiled to himself. So many targets, how was he to choose?

There was another call, this time in the direction of the desert. Sunder didn't waste any time in moving from the Cove borders to head towards the thrum of bodies gathered. She would pause only to mask her scent with that of lavender and chamomile, hoping to dash away any remnants of the Cove on her fur. Her pace was casual as she made her way towards the borders of the Oasis, gently traipsing past them as quiet as a field mouse. Her already muddied fur would do best obscurred on the outer edges of the pridelands so Sunder did not venture to far within the borders. She would hunker down amongst some foliage, her icy gaze landing on the frame of @Scorpius as he waited for his opponent. Her claws flexed beneath her as she too waited, watching while hoping to gather as much information as possible.

While he waited for Faustine to give instructions and comment on what he had said, he would notice @Cassius ♔ arrive, nodding to the male politely while inwardly grinning, more than a little smug. Yeah, he had taken the spot next to Faustine first. Of course, it was short lived as another figure would catch his attention. @Saladin. Ears perked as he approached, sighing Evren would move down from the rock, landing softly in the sand and managing a couple steps before his brother brushed into his shoulder. He attempted to return the gesture, perhaps a bit to roughly. At the nickname he snorted and rolled his eyes, "Hey Salad." He answered, taking a step away from his sibling.
His next question would have Evren shrugging, "because you won’t join me in the Bluffs." Was he wrong? He’d asked his brothers to come with him, they hadn’t. At least…not yet. He noticed the look to Faustine and the eye roll and he smirked. "So where is your girlfriend?" He made a point to look around before making a ‘tsk’ sound and continuing. "Must still be invisible." At least he had someone to follow around, she didn’t deny him…not really. Not like that one girl had to Saladin.
As attention turned to Scorpius, Evren would hesitate. "Not sure. First I’ve seen him since…you know." He was vague, ears folding back while his gaze leveled with Saladin in warning. Don’t say anything, brother. It would say. It would ruin his hard work with Faustine. "How’d he lose the Oasis, again?" He asked, his brother knew, he had been there. Evren had not. One ear came forward toward his brother, the other angling towards his pretty monster (Faustine), showing that he was still listening and paying attention to her.

Teeth scraped her nose, and her paw landed its blow on the girls face. Heisa was proud of herself but that was ever so short lived as she saw the sand in Lucia's paw and coming towards her. A snarl erupted from her jaws as the sand landed right in her jewels and she was forced to shake her head and rub her eyes, hoping to get rid of the sand. It stung her eyes and there was no way she would be able to see for a good minute if she would get her vision back at the end of the day. With that being said, Heisa didn't see Lucia coming at her and tackling her to the ground and claws dragging across the left side of her face. Flailing about, Heisa would attempt to just throw her claws where ever she thought Lucia was at and aimed to dig her claws as deep as possible.

It seemed the young girl was almost drawn to these events. One of her first few forays back into this land was at a challenge not too unlike this. It might've even been a challenge for the same pride, come to think of it. As she strolled up to the sands, Sæunn was not expecting to see anyone familiar. However, her gaze landed on a familiar dark and maned form. A snort of amusement escaped the merle yearling as she realized many of those who had been at the challenge previously.
"Fancy seeing you here." She said, her tone amused as she came up alongside @Daneri, attempting to bump her shoulder against the other girl's shoulder in a friendly manner. "One might think this is the only sort of things you get out to watch." Sæunn teased with a chuckle as she sat down next to the more monochrome girl. She'd not seen Daneri personally outside of these events, and so she naturally felt like she had to tease her about it.
Time away from her family had caused her to become less of a refined princess and more of a tomboy, more interested in rough and tumble than being a prim and proper young lady.

It had been quite a while, hadn't it?
This was home; or it had been, once. Aarani didn't feel the same sense of nostalgia when she gazed upon the sands anymore, only a small sadness that sank like a rock in her chest. It was here she had reigned as high sovereign after snatching it from the clutches of Seneca Miroslav and it was here she had learned was insufferable truly meant when the man had sired his first litter. There was no reason for her to attend, but she did anyway for old times sake. Settling quietly off to the side, she let her gaze drift around for any familiar faces and found few and far between.

Born unto chaos, powers fluctuated across the dunes. A call for battle disturbed the peace, rifling the bed-time nap that exposed the youth as an easy target. Chubby legs worked against the build up of sands, dark face determined as he worked to arrive upon the premises of Scorpius's chosen coliseum. Fear puffs the fur along his spine, mellowing down as he crept up beside @Langley, whom brought some safety to the daring pursuance to disturb the man who sought to take their home. Only, he fades into the background as his sister dared to skitter out and then away, only to be intercepted by a fierce looking lioness who was rather large. Childish spitting ripped from his lips as he puffed up once more, seeking to pounce on @Léonie's paw, only to be intercepted by @Lucía. Where did all these lions keep coming from?
Look who's talking,he'd quipped back to the girl, before another of his siblings intervened. Everyone was getting involved in this fray. Skittering back from the outburst of cub motions, he allowed space for the two girls to squabble, looking at Langley with a pointed glare. They shouldn't be causing trouble before Papa even got there.

Personal interest brought the baroness beneath the stark gazes of those onlookers ringing the most current challenge for the oasis. Already she grew tired of how often the sands changed paws, wondering how men could be so pitiful to continue fighting one another in circular motions, never settling on the victor. Of course, she was unaware of Scorpius's prior reign, nor did she particularly care. Interest in whether Aesterios fell or not brought her to the forefront of onlookers, perhaps the only lioness from Caladan present.
Many changes progressed over Amaryllis, but pride leadership was always changing. Constant chants of war regaled the lands as much as anything else, and while she was not wholly a fan of such occurrences she was wholly invested in observing fights such as this to determine weak points of each, so that she might herself fighting one of these men at some point to obtain the crown for herself.
Dusty haunches settled against the sands, comfortable in the environment she'd been born unto, and attempted to keep among the shores of Caladan Cove. Pale eyes watched the challenger, intent on the first move, on who might find themselves controlling the fight over the other.

In true Jafar fashion, he showed very little on his face other than pride and a sense of purpose. He might not be the time to swing himself into the middle of things but he was still there to throw shit if things got wild. Jafar had never personally met the plum male that held the Oasis but what he did know was that he had attempted to woo Linnaea, his second wife. That she had, because of her big heart, taken in a child of his to help nurture it to full health when he had no one else to do so. Jafar was no fool, though, and knew that just because they had done that for him did not mean that any favor would be owed.
Amethyst eyes looked to @Léonie and watched as she chastised and teased a child that had thrown some choice words Scorpius' way. Believing in the method of kids will figure it out, assumed that the youngling would know his place soon enough whether that was good or bad. Eyes then moved to @Sedona, of course, that he would be a fool to not see along the outskirts. Knowing her scent anywhere no matter how small she was comparatively. He would chuff to her, offering a place beside him if she wished but would not push the matter.
@Amandil, too, showed up and was given a tight-lipped smile. Glad to have family coming in to support family and his son even showing up to talk to his nieces and nephews. The more family that surrounded the event the better because it meant more bodies that could protect the bull-headed grandchildren that had decided to make a show.
