He had left the Hollows before the dawn could begin to break across the sky, in search of an adventure- in search of something to learn about the massive world around him. He moved quietly along the shadows, and weaved through the trees. His nose was close to the earth, and he traveled at an easy-going sort of pace. His body was growing at a rapid pace, and slowly tufts of mane were growing at his chest, and neck. Truthfully, they itched like mad and Enver really just didn't understand why.

He followed a narrow gazelle trail through the trees, until the trees opened into a small meadow like feature. Pines gave way to soft grasses, and a scattering of boulders littered the area as if something larger than he had tossed them out with the flick of a paw. He meandered into it, his head lifting as his orange eyes studied the horizon where streaks of pinks and golds were just coming up the eastern sky, as the sun began climbing upwards.

Dawn had broke across the land, and he used that light as it would slowly grow to study the strange landmark around him, and noted the softest grasses that tufted up through the snow- where hooves had pawed at them, a eating place for the gazelle. That would be useful information to relay back to @Juliette and perhaps even Alexander himself.

One thing that she had kept secret from every lion she had met since arriving back in Amaryllis was that she had family up in the north. That up here she felt more at peace than anywhere else and a part of her felt like she was betraying her blood by not seeking them out. Juliette didn't have a clue as to where they were or if they were still in Vermeda or not but based on the lioness that had been there to recruit for the Brook, she didn't think they would be. Alas, it gave her more ammunition and more defense to not bother looking at all. For fear that she would just end up ore alone than she already was.

@Enver, her young friend, seemed to have found his way up north just as she had though for entirely different reasons. Juliette was up north to scout and find out answers for herself whereas she could tell from her peripheral that he was out here hunting. Or, so his body language was telling her as he kept his nose close to the ground as though he were tracking something. Juliette let her body move towards the ground a little and offered a gentle chuff. Likely going to surprise the boy that he had unintentionally been stalking here once more.

His nose was nearly pressed against the softest grasses when he heard the soft chuff that was familiar to him. @Juliette ! He lifts his head, orange eyes gazing about as he studies the area around him with glee - a grin already spreading across his lips. "Out following trails too?" He called, when he spies her and begins making his way over to her. "Come see what I found!" He urges happily, wanting to point it out to her- it was notable enough that he could find it again, and it meant.. prey- and potentially readily available prey.

Immediately, back to chattering to her, he'd walk towards her aiming to meet her halfwayish and then lead her back to what he'd found if she were so inclined. "I didn't think I'd get this far north with this trail, but I couldn't just not see where it led. Too many seem to have crossed this path way back, and a lot seemed to be heading this way." He says happily. "And Gazelle are good."

Ever the underestimated calm whenever she was around @Enver. She knew better than any that she was older than him and could, presumably, be his mother but she was somewhere between a friend and a mother. At least in the way that she wanted to protect him and watch him grow while also taking part in life with him. Seeing as his father led a pride somewhere to the east that he wasn't even a part of and she figured that that was for a good reason. So when the boy urges her to him to see what it is he had found, Juliette wastes no time and getting a bit closer.

Ah, she said as they began walking and she could immediately smell exactly what it was they were following after. Enver was right, this was a very good find and one that she would be sure to address back home should they be lacking in food or anything to find. This is a good find. I suppose the gazelle are making their way back home after the winter. The north had always been a very great place to find copious amounts of big game and it forced her to remember growing up in this part of Amaryllis. Feeling the heavy weight around her as she gazed in the direction of Vermeda. Knowing that her family had once ruled it for years and years and now, she had no idea what was going on. Or where any of her family had gone (Juliette having presumed it to not be led by any Valour for months now).

The scent here was strong and musky, and he sniffed the earth before trotting towards her, and walked along with her back to what he find. He nods enthusiastically, and notes that she seems to be looking off into the distance, Enver looks into that direction and then to the pale female with a quizzical look. "Did you know there was a challenge in a pride near here? In a storm a while ago?" He asks conversationally, as he remembers the challenge and watching the female win. "Two lionesses fought each other." He said aloud. "It was storming, so I didn't get to really check out the pride, but a few fights broke out." He said, with a soft hum. "I haven't scouted near there since then.. so I don't know anything else that's happened but." He breathes out, and then looks back to the trampled ground. "They're probably more likely to like this and find this useful than us but... still..." He muses.

Oh? she asks, her attention shifting to @Enver as he expresses that there was a fight here. That something had gone down and immediately she feels her heart squeezed. What did the two lionesses look like? Because even she couldn't keep her interest squashed within her breast when all she wanted to know was if her family was still even here. So far she hadn't seen a single one of her old family members but as it turns out, she wasn't look for them just like they weren't searching for her. Perhaps they just didn't know what to look for anymore. It had been years, after all.

Juliette seemed very interested in the notion of a fight near here, and he considered it for a moment and her question. Then he spoke. "Well, it was really dark out- and storming but one was brown. The other was really dark... It was hard to tell." Roamer cannot remember the pelt color really "The brown one won though, and it was a pretty cool fight. A few others fought too." He explained, remembering the fight. "Guess that makes the Brown one it's Queen until someone else comes." He thinks aloud. "Do you go to challenges?" A question for her this time- to see what she thinks about attending them. He found them pretty interesting, as far as ambassador work went.

By the boy's descriptions, neither of those were the description of her mother but perhaps her aunt Talisa had finally gotten to hold the pride. That aunt had never been very privy to a fight but perhaps for Vermeda, she would defend it without question. Seemingly the brown-coated lioness had won which begged the question of what Juliette wanted to do with that information. So she only takes the information and brings it into thought before relocating herself to @Enver's question. You know I have always made it a point to avoid them, she says with a guilty-infused laugh, but I guess being Sovereign I should probably make it my business to attend them now. Though, she had a feeling that she'd still shirk from the idea of a crowd.

He doesn't know that the information he so casually relays to her could perhaps mean more to her than a conversation among... were they friends? Friends, yeah, that sounded good. "I like to go. It's cool to see who will win and watch them fight." Though he didn't really have much interest in fighting himself, he had fought before- "I had to fight at my dad's because this punk kid attacked me." He admits, with a twitch of his ears. "I won. But I didn't wanna fight. I try not too." He adds, and considers what she means by Sovreign. Of course he knew but had he ever said congratulations to her on that promotion? Probably not, because sometimes his brain was worms. "Did I ever tell you congratulations on that, by the way?" He pried curiously. "It's super cool and you're so smart that it only makes sense for you to be a Queen." He adds. Not sucking up at all, just expressing his truths.

It is not a terrible thing to want to watch, not that @Enver was looking for her to give a reason not to go because truthfully it was good that he did for several reasons. To gain knowledge of whether a crown changed paws but also it would give him some insight into how to fight if he was watching close enough. Juliette wasn't too keen on fighting herself (aka she didn't if she didn't have to) but she would do it if it was absolutely necessary. Something that they apparently had in common. I am the same way, actually. It was nice to see that she wasn't the only lion in their wide world that didn't want to have to fight. Sometimes it is unavoidable but it is good to stick up for yourself. Don't ever play dead. If folks recognized that you did not wish to fight and were aiming to avoid it, they would target you even more.

Thanks kid, she huffed a laugh at his heavily worded congratulations that prompted quite a lot of ego-stroking and compliments that she barely had the brain power to receive completely. While she loved his spirit and the way he made her feel like she was the World Boss at End Game, it was hard not to feel like a lot of it was hot air. I only hope to, and continue to, make the pride a place worth living. For everyone. Not just the Savante but for anyone who desired it as their home long term because no pride lasted for very long under the same leadership but she was going to do whatever she could to help it grow and prosper. Are you interested in holding a higher rank? If not, you should be. Motherly inflection solid as she pointed her gaze at him with loving scrutiny.
