Allure was quite familiar with the herbs within Amethyst Grove. She had spent plenty of time within the area searching for herbs and desperately trying to heal Anthonius’ dire wounds. He was in bad shape, and she could never have enough herbs, especially with winter so close. She spotted a particularly helpful plant with star shaped green flowers and quickly stopped to collect it. The plant was still quite healthy for the season, and it seemed to grow quite plentifully in the area, so she didn’t feel bad about digging the plant up carefully to harvest the roots along with a few stems and their leaves. She would leave it set to the side for now near where the others gathered, but would make sure not to forget to pick it up later. July Y13
Summer
Summer is in full swing now, with clear skies, warm nights, and ample sunshine! As such, the deserts begin to grow dry, the shores remain a blissful escape, the north is spared with cooling winds, and humidity continues to rise in the jungle. Rain and storms are long forgotten troubles by now, which is both a virtue and a vice during the heat of the season.

She's nudged awake just seconds before a familiar call reaches her ears — the wicked grin on @Léontine's face didn't promise anything good to come of it, which only made it that much more interesting to Ludivine. She leaves the heathen at their side behind as she follows behind the maroon lioness, quiet in her approach as she can practically see the giddiness in her sister. How sadistic — a true cannibal queen. The grin on her face at the sight quickly dies as they approach their target and the sop of the bog begins to tug at their limbs. Ugh. No wonder she'd never been here before.
Ludivine scouts around, taking in the thick, murky mud that seemed to make up the majority of the ground underfoot. Her sister takes the best approach of leaping onto a nearby log to get on some solid ground and Ludivine follows suit with a different log, enjoying the lack of mud sucking at her as she finally climbs upwards. Her gaze drifts over the leader of the ground — a familiar face in @Faustine — but she remains quiet for now, content to take down a different kind of prey. For now, at least.

The earth beneath heavy feet was thick with the soft swampy grounds of the bog. Yavanna had ached to stretch her muscles as the day went on, boredom resonating in the muscles beneath her thick coat. It gave good traction to a run and Yavanna favored it over many because she could also coat herself in the mud should the sun prove to annoy her too much. Taking a break from her run, she found a thicker tree that would hold the bulk of her weight as she threw her unsheathed claws at it begging to be sharpened even as she finally paid attention to the gathering of lions in preparation for a hunt. She would join them when something actually happened. Right now she was having fun assaulting the tree.

His expression soured with each step. The terrain clung to the pale lion far more than he did to it, gobs of rich, unknowable muck attaching itself to the white furs of his pelt. Jethro pressed on with one goal in mind: to not miss out on whatever crew of lions was assembling in that forsaken bog. If there was a meal to be had and muscle to be gained, he wanted in.
Jethro stalked alongside that group of strangers, many of whom proved familiar from past encounters at such events. He rolled his shoulders in a nice flex before surging forward to try and aid in the group's strength, eager to learn and grow now that he had secured his family a home at last.

She was just returning home to Ecrosia for the night when she smelled them – a gathering of lions on the breeze paired with the tantalizing aroma of prey. Hekate pivoted to stalk toward them through the bog, her paws plenty practiced at moving through such dense terrain. She attempted to come up to Ianthe's side.
"By ancient wisdom and nature's grace, may your aim be true and your quarry embrace its fate."
Clover eyes turned to try and meet their matching set as she uttered the prayer of blessing, sure that her sister must know the words by then. Thus far, they had seemed to work wonders in securing their target for the group.

He’d never strayed beyond the border before. The pride boundary had always been well-defined, which had allowed Zephyr to explore its territory without fear of losing his way back to the den. That day though, he had woke up with a need to expand his knowledge about the world. He had wanted to know what existed beyond the trees that had walled him in, and so he’d quietly slipped through them, into the neighboring grove.
The ground below him had slowly turned soft under his paws, and soon squishy — an observation he made as he wandered toward the bog, following the waterways that wove through it so he could backtrack later. The air became rancid, making his nose wrinkle deeply. Somehow, through the stench, he noted the scents of other lions and hastily found some brush to hide beneath. He didn’t know who they were or what they were doing. For now, the boy would hide himself, listening for anything that might help him understand what was happening.

The bog would prove to be the most challenging of terrains he had exercised in. He had to dodge and leap over large puddles and mud while he jogged, adding a little extra to his routine. Sabre would jog along a trail, making sure to keep a steady pace and feeling his chest begin to ache from how long he had been going. He moves forward, only stopping when he sees a group ahead of him. With the scents of others also came the scent of prey, one that he would follow and move towards. Slowing down to a walk, the colossal observes the many bodies that had gathered, and he could only assume they were here to hunt. Readying himself, the brute crouches lower to the ground, muscles tense and tail tips flicking behind him.

He did not like the eerie stillness that he was stuck in. It made him anxious, worried that any small movement would draw attention to him. He could only wait for so long though before his nerves started to fray, soon forcing him out and back onto the path he had followed in. If he was quiet, maybe he could sneak away …
Following the water way, Zephyr noted the thick brush that sprouted along its banks. It was mostly dead now, and he was mindful of where he placed his paws, to avoid stepping on crunchy foliage. But it would provide a good hiding spot if he needed it.
Fortunately, he didn’t. Still a small, easily-overlooked child, Zephyr soon reached the edge of the territory, guided there by the streams that ran out. With a sigh of relief, the boy took off into the Grove, heading for home.

If there is any hint to be made regarding his companions' insidious natures toward the young girl, it is lost on Gauthier as soon as his toes sink into the filthy loam of the bog. His lips curled with distaste at the stagnant scent of the terra, the heady rot and weight of humidity that dragged with every step. It is the only thing that slows him down as he trudges through the murky waters and briny backwash after Ludivine and Leontine, picking his footing so that he doesn't sink into a mouthful of mudwater. Relief comes once he finds them - and a countless others, to his immediate dismay. He frowned, regarding the amount of lions that had chosen to attend. The only chance for anything more savory than a waterlogged twig was for them to find the most monstrous boar that resided in the whole of Amaryllis. An ill-placed, misfortunate mammoth would do quite nicely at this moment, he supposed.BG — ART — CODE
