The watering hole seems an easy place as any to hunt.

Light paws press into old tracks as he trails after the large group. He'd been wandering around here for some time before the call had reached his ears, and it seems a mistake to ignore the opportunity. It's easy to step away from his methodical wandering to circle back around where the hunting party is gathering. A few of the faces here were familiar but he lacks the names to place to them, and so he does not bother. Instead he rolls his shoulders forward, quietly readying himself. Pale eyes linger on the one who'd seemingly called them here today, intent on following his lead -- ready for the hunt to begin, whenever it did.

But now that he was, he was more than happy to assist in hunts as he used to before the incident. Eyes of brown rested on the group who gathered to hunt with the lead of his cousin Dragos, someone he hasn't seen in a long time now. He smelled the ground finding the scent of prey. Quietly he followed it, he couldn't tell to which animal it belonged to but he was sure it was prey. Prey they have to take down for food. *"Lead the way mother" He said on Savante dialects, as he followed and stood ready to pounce. Basil is what she painstakingly seeks, an uncharacteristic look of concentration on her face as she sweeps the flattened fields for any sign of the plant. But every time she thinks she spots it, bounding toward it as a flutter of excitement touches off in her stomach, she's let down again, realizing it was just monkey rope all along. The two look fiendishly similar, and though she still collects the monkey rope (albeit dejectedly), her supply of basil is in dire need of restocking. The distinct scent of lion comes to her then, and, welcoming the distraction, she follows it, resolving to continue her quest for the elusive basil later.

Another group forms, this time around the watering hole, and Hero is on it. So many pride scents assault his nose on the way, everything from Wolfbron to Caladan to Illyria. Good, well at least there would be one comrade within the group, even if the Hodari didn't know the young prince. Honestly, the masked lion couldn't even pick out his pridemate right away from the growing hunting party, but he did notice a lot of younger looking lions among them. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to ask the spirits for a little guidance. "Forgive my constant requests, spirits, but I ask you once more to keep these lions safe. Protect the young as we all seek to nourish our bodies in preparation for the winter." With his icy gaze closed and head bowed, the Hodari sought to bless the hunt before getting too close to the party. Slipping in among them, the ebony lion poised himself in wait, ready to launch at whatever their target might be.

Many scents came together as she sniffed the ground searching for prey. Far from being a lazy woman, Io had always been a hardworking and efficient lioness who nothing distracted her from her duties, from always trying to better her skills and make if her useful to those she swore loyalty to.

Quiet steps led her into the watering hole where a group of many lions were going for catching prey. Prey that she might need to snag something from. Saying nothing she used the foliage to mask her frame. Eyes of pink and purple focused on the task ahead.

She was ready to pounce.

Ianthe was probably gathering more Devil's Claw than was necessary. It's not like anyone in Ecrosia was pregnant - that she knew of - but she still felt anxious to have as much on paw as possible. She didn't want to be caught off guard, unprepared if a litter did happen to show up.
Satchel full to bursting, Ianthe looks around the clearing for any sign of a hunting party. There were a lot of them, these days. She almost couldn't step paw outside of Ecrosia without running into them.

It doesn't take long to spot one, just off in the distance. Ianthe sighs, knowing she's going to be joining it. As if an invisible force leads her to the groups each time. She doesn't particularly enjoy hunting, but she does love to eat. Sacrifices must be made for the sake of a good meal.

Stretching her legs, she ran - not a whole lot to do otherwise other than train and prepare. Assuming that her twin was doing much the same and keeping her skills sharp in case they ended up being needed for something. Dani knew that if Della ever needed anything, she'd be there and vice versa. Part of the reason she trained was that she could be strong to protect them when it mattered. Letting her muscles take all the work as her heart kept at a quick pace but not a dangerous one, just enough that it gave her heart a healthy pulse. At least until another hunt was noticed and she slowed until she stopped, crouching but as she did so her eyes found @Ianthe and she momentarily thought "Hekate" from the passage but... the girl had mentioned having three... and something felt different about this one. This must be one of them, had to be! So she watched the triplet-girl from the corner of her eye with her main focus on the hunt. Curiosity certainly getting the better of her right now.

The waterhole was a naturally thriving hunting place; and generally speaking, one could find a meal with just a little bit of patience. As the days cooled away however, the wait was longer, but admittedly Aphid attends the hunt more as excuse to be among so many as opposed to truly being hungry.

So, she is really in no rush, and slips quietly along the water hole to have a quick drink - mismatched gaze not only acknowledging the lions around her, but the spattered spikes of Bulrush that sprouted in the shallow water - useful knowledge to save for later. Not only that, but a tempting crop of Water Hyacinth she really had to get her paws on.

The watering hole wasn't a place she wasn't familiar with. She knew it well, having been so close to Lorien, it had been her playground as a younger child. Now, as she nears to the water, she notices the large group. Narrowing her eyes, she swiftly lowers down behind tall grasses, aiming to hide from their sight. To go along with that, she makes swift work of claws at the earth and freeing up dirt, rubbing it over her body quickly to hide her scent. Quietly, she watches them while she also studies the landscape around them, looking to see if anything had changed since the last time she was here.

Yavanna woke up with an itch to make her muscles burn. The aimless exercise took her to the watering hole. Thirsty, it is on her to refresh herself she settles on the gathering group. Deciding it would be nice to take a break before things get hectic, she moves towards one of the trees near the gathering and casually rakes her claws down the thick wood to sharpen them. They could never be too sharp if they were going to be used in something like a hunt. It was soothing for her anyway in an idle action kind of way. Watching them, she would wait for a sign that things were going to get good.
