She exhales heavily. Your choice. There wasn't doubt, or question, beyond that. But relief. She could hear, see, in @Ygritte's face that this was the truth. And that it was her choice was all that matters. You're stronger than the rest of us. She says softly, leaning in to nuzzle the young mother's cheek as if that could help Dio soak up some strength and confidence. I'm glad, your kids are growing up in the Brook. And she couldn't wait to meet them someday.

Hearing that @Diomedeidae was being careful was a blessing in itself. It meant that she hadn't been taken into a pride by force and that also meant that she knew to keep herself away from those that would do such a thing. Ears twisting and her breathing caught slightly when Dio touched her cheek but it was brief and Ygritte was quick to return the gesture that was given to her. It has nothing to do with strength, but faith my dear. She would state rather bluntly, but truthfully. A small smile formed on her features. I have faith that the Brook will be in the paws of the Valour very shortly.

Faith. Dio had always associated that word with Maua, with creation and things greater than she and Ygritte. But ever wise, Ygritte saw better than Dio this day. You didn't need to just have faith in Maua, but faith in each other. Faith in Valour paws. Faith that Ygritte knew what was best for her and her family by staying behind - Dio could only hope such devotion would be justly rewarded in the end.

When it is- When, certainty bled into her voice. - I will show your children all of my favorite things in the Brook. I'll baby sit, give you and your husband a date night.

When the time came for the Valour to take back the Brook, Ygritte would be there. She knew it would happen. Cassandra would come back and Ygritte would be there. Waiting for her like she always did with her herbs, but the idea of a time alone with her husband was a pleasant thought and it brought a small to her merle features. I would like that honestly. She would admit to @Diomedeidae. And I"m sure my children would love to learn about all the cool places in the Brook. Places I've probably yet to take notice of myself. Maybe one day Dio could show her too.

I think I know some places you'll like a lot. She said, mischevious and scheming. She leans in to continue to talk and be in close proximity to her cousin. This reunion filling up her heart with hopes, dreams, and plans for future things they might be able to do together. And in the back of her mind the entire time she imagines @Ygritte's children at her side, at their feet. Running. Playing. How beautiful they must be. Their mother is beautiful both in body and soul after all so they must have taken in some of that themselves.

I would love to see them when you do return to the Brook. She would state to her cousin. Bowing her head to be close to Dio's so that they could finish talking. What they talked about? Everything. Anything. The future that they planned on having with each other and her children. The places they would visit when she returned. They talked about it all and Ygritte found that her heart was full. To talk about these plans, to even think about these plans and the future was a blessing that Ygritte was grateful to have in her life. Even if right now her children weren't big enough to have to much fun.
