He was exceptionally late and he knew it as he struggled to get free of the vines that he had entangled himself in not too far from the Hollow's borders. He might have screamed for help but he didn't want help.. he just wanted to not be late. The minutes began to click onwards and finally he was able to snap one of the larger branches and that gave way like a flood to other branches being able to move and he slipped free with a tumble. Moving as quickly as he could back to home and making the distance to get there before the event started.

Cosmin arrived on the words @Camellia had begun with but only as he got closer could he actually make sense of them. Eyeing @Razvan nearby with @Karsa and @Angelo, of course. The story left Cosmin to move in slow steps trying not to be seen so easily while also trying to engage himself in the story that actually left him speechless. He wanted more, eating hungrily at the words as he tried to position himself where it might appear as though he had been there the whole time.

his attention is easily captured by the tale, brows furrowed in concentration as he takes in the words of his aunt. "so they didn't see each other the first few times and kept bringing meat to their brother..." he notes. "that was nice of them to share." karsa smiles, glancing over at razvan and then at cosmin as he notices his other brother had joined the group during the story. "why don't they just rule the whole territory together?" that made more sense to him. just like their pride, one could have been high sovereign and the other a sovereign, and then neither would have to worry about food or who would inherit the pride when they were gone!

Caillen now accomodated was ready to listen to anything Camellia would want to share with them. She always loved to know new things about other's customes and stories. She smiled at those already there as her cyan eyes expressed joy and wonder to be around such interesting yet nice people. She missed her mother and siblings but she was enjoying being able to be around a new culture.

Then a woman who was of course a giant beside her approached her. Greeting her and that made her smile brighter. "Hi! Nice to meet ya miss. @Aelynthi!" She said happy. "I am Caillen Armour-Svend!" And that was it as she didnt have an offocial rank to go with.

But as Camellia started to speak but in a language she didnt know, assuming it was their own. But even if she didnt understand she did her best to still pay attention to the older woman. But soon the new lioness she met translated for them.

Once, there were two brothers who inherited their father's vast lands. The two brothers divided the land in half and each one ruled and hunted his own kingdom.

Over time, the older brother married and had many children, while the younger brother never mated.

One night, the younger brother lay awake. "It's not fair that each of us has half the land to hunt," he thought. "My brother has many cubs to feed and I have none. He should have more food than I do."

That night the younger brother went to his cache and gathered a large oryx from the pile. He climbed the hill that separated the two kingdoms and over to his brother's territory. Leaving the oryx at his brother's border, the younger brother returned home, feeling pleased with himself.

Earlier that very same night, the older brother was also lying awake. "It's not fair that each of us has half the land to hunt," he thought. "In my old age my wife and I will have our grown children to take care of us, not to mention grandchildren, while my brother will probably have none. He should at least have more meat from our hunts now so he can provide for himself with dignity in his old age."

So that night, too, he secretly gathered a large kudu from his cache and climbed the hill. He left the meat at his brother's cache and returned home, feeling pleased with himself.

The next morning, when the younger brother went to his cache he was surprised to see the amount of meat was unchanged. "I must not have taken as much food as I thought," he said, bemused. "Tonight I'll be sure to take more."

That very same moment, his older brother was also standing by his cache, musing much the same thoughts.

After night fell, each brother gathered a greater amount of game from his cache and in the dark, secretly delivered it to his brother's home. The next morning, the brothers were again puzzled and perplexed.

"There's the same amount of meat here as there was before I cleared the pile for my brother. This is impossible! Have my subjects been bringing it back as I slept? Tonight I'll make no mistake - I'll take the pile down to the very stone floor. That way I'll be sure the meat gets delivered to my brother."

The third night, more determined than ever, each brother gathered a large prey he could find from his cache, and slowly dragged his haul through the fields and up the hill to his brother's kingdom. At the top of the hill, under the shadow of a moon, each brother noticed a figure in the distance. Who could it be?

When the two brothers recognized the form of the other brother and the load he was pulling with his teeth, they realized what had happened.

Without a word, they dropped the carcasses, and embraced."

She was surprised with such an interesting story. "Lovely atory! Is this to learn that family always comes first?" She asked @Camellia wanting to learn more about the message behind the tale.

Aren't you though? Angelo asked as @Karsa went scampering by. They'd always be babies in his mind, even though they were shooting up like weeds. Pretty soon they'd be a year old, he realized. There was a hell of a thought. Well, at least he wouldn't have to worry about tripping over them anymore. He would still have to worry about tripping over the young lady that approached though, given her stature. He at least offered a lazy tail flick of greeting and welcome to her.

He was grateful that Aelynthi translated, for though he had grown quite used to the Savante native tongue, he still wasn't perfectly fluent with it and the finer details of the story might have been lost otherwise.

Movement at the edge of the group caught his attention, Cosmin sneaking his way in. Angelo averted his gaze, recognizing the attempt to go unnoticed.

He thought there might be something to that story about communication too, but what did he know? He was just there to listen and look pretty, and he was doing a damn good job of both if he did say so himself.

Though he’d tried to worm his way closer to get his aunt’s affections, @Camellia's kiss went to @Karsa instead, bringing a frown to the young boys face. He wasn’t the jealous type, at least when it came to family, but he was sensitive and held even the slightest hint of rejection far too close to his heart. Seeing @Angelo arrive, he abandoned the spot he’d tried claiming at his aunt’s paws and made his way over to the massive merle lion. He flopped down by his other dad, leaning closer to try and rest his head against his father while he listened to the story. “Seems like they could have saved themselves a lot of trouble if they just talked to each other about their worries.” Razvan added on the heels of his brother’s comment.

Both of his half-siblings made valid points, even Caillen did, but the young strawberry boy stayed silent. Listening to each of their reasonings and the points that came out of that and while he felt that the story certainly reflected it all, he had a feeling there was still even more to be unearthed. Things seemed to have quieted down and conversation seemed a little less fluid which left him to sidle up alongside @Angelo very briefly giving him the affection that he deserved. Eventually tuning out everything that was going on and allowing himself to quietly snooze in a place that he knew he could. Beside his father's figure, of course. If anyone would understand a boy's need to nap the socializing off, Angelo would. fade cosmin
