The boy had a goal in life now. Of course that goal was something that couldn't take place until the very end of his life. Still, it was something to work towards. Talisa had given him a direction when he had felt lost about his role for the world. Having something to work towards gave the boy a purpose at the very least. And he was young yet so he still had time to figure all these things out. But one thing he knew for certain was the pride had to eat. He had yet to hear a call for a hunt and so he set himself to this task.

The boy chuffed for the rest of the pride to join him before he launched into his routine prayer while he waited. "Maua help us. Nafasi distract them. Kivuli take them. Pesa reward us." So far the words had seemed to work each time and so he wasn't about to give up on them now.

He came to the call, arriving in time to hear the words spoken, but the silver Casales wasn't sure what they meant. Amandil assumed it meant that they were a prayer, a ritual of sorts. It was something he would need to question later and learn. Still he gave @Versace a note of his skull as he came to settle near the other.

Not the greatest of hunters, still he knew he could help when and where needed. The lion would let his amethyst gaze pass over the terrain, searching for signs of incoming and outgoing prey. Footsteps, the passage written in the ground cover..

As per usual, Isla was patrolling their borders when a call rang out - one that requested members to join in on a hunt. She'd follow the borders for as long as she could before having to pivot away from them, now heading in the direction the call had come from. Dual eyes stayed alert while ears twisted and twitched, listening to her surroundings. While her nose sniffed the air she would round on the two lions that were now before her, scenting the what that had caused for one of them to release their summons. "Hope it's something good." Because she was tired of them catching small game for such a large pride.

The red Sigrun has been put of commission for long as she had been healing after her fight against Ryker. Who as the coward he was used poison in his claws. Something that made him win the upper hand. He had used one herself but nothing strong to make things fair but it seemed fairness wasn't welcome. This meant she would needed to be more ruthless then, she was going to use worse poisons.

A hunt was been called for and Zahra was ready to help now that she felt much better. Her face was with a nasty scar from the bites and claws Ryker produced on her face. She chuffed quietly to just announce her presence before going right to work.

As Morrigan joined @Versace's call for a hunt, her Sovereign giving the yearling a grateful dip of her head for his gumption, she noticed the age gap quite quickly, and smiled in amusement at herself as she realized she was getting old. That did not outweigh the pride she felt as she joined the younger felines, keeping herself toward the back and waiting on directions from those more useful than she, waiting to be wielding as the heavy axe of death for whatever prey they might come across today. She still had hope that Talisa would join them as well, of course, but as she was growing happily rounder of late... Morrigan wouldn't blame her if she did not.

Once more, the call for a hunt breaks into Maven's quiet thoughts from where she paces the Summit's outskirts, drawing her away from the borders and back towards the peak proper. The pride will always need to eat, after all, and the abyssal girl would hate to be the one who didn't do her part.

She slinks her way over the rocks to join the group, trying yet again not to feel too self-conscious about the way all her pridemates seemed to tower over her, anxiety-inducing though it sometimes was. At least they were on her side, right?

Mauve nostrils flare wide against the breeze while she peers ahead with curious crimson eyes, taking note of the faint imprints left in the gravelly soil, already formulating her guesses as to what sort of beast might have left such tracks behind.

She hopes that it'll make for a hearty meal. As long as it was nothing too insane.

Hunting occupied her mind at least, which meant it was something she was eager to do at this point. Her mother had forbidden her from leaving the Summit to come after her when she'd gone looking for the rest of the family, and for some time Alvena had been afraid that she wasn't going to come back either. But, finally she'd made her way back (admittedly empty-pawed which the both of them were sad about, but at least she was there) and things could... well, not go back to normal she supposed.

And lookie there, she was back to thinking about things she didn't want to be. So she forced herself to focus on the upcoming hunt as more of the pride gathered around her.

Maia loved the thrill of the chase, and the ability to provide for those she cared for most deeply. The grey lioness had been snoozing in her fur-lined den when the call from @Versace echoes through the pride. With a yawn, and a stretch, Maia rises from her slumber and moves quietly through the pride land until she finds the group that had gathered. She looks to @Amandil and smiles, glad to see her son settling into pride life. Others had joined them before she, but eyes fall onto @Morrigan next. She offers the High Sovereign a smile, noting the roundness of her stomach. A pang of jealousy seems to grow in her chest, combined with happiness for the lioness. Eyes turn then to @Alvena, and Maia also offers the white lioness a smile. It was good to see her. Notably, though, no one had stepped forward to lead the hunt. With Maia being equipped to do such a thing, she stands in the middle of the group and looked at the prey that had originally stirred Versace. It's best we work together, but individually, She begins in a quiet whisper. We need to draw it out, but corner it. And we certainly don't want it going over the edge. Maia remarks with a small giggle. Morrigan, Amandil, and you, young one, She looks to Versace. You draw the prey out into the centre of the territory, where we have the most space to deal with. Eyes look to @Isla ♔. Could you draw it into a corner? She turns to @Zahra. Can you assist? Eyes then turn to @Maven, and Alvena. Us three will try and bring it down. With that, Maia falls silent and hopes that everyone would be on board with the plan.

Talisa was quiet as she approached and kept her focus mainly on arriving at @Morrigan's side. Rubbing up on her wife briefly while she dared not speak. Talisa was happy to let Maia take the helm on this one and she would just follow and do whatever Morrigan had been assigned. That way their Lead Hunter wouldn't have to find a specific spot for her and she could work alongside who she wanted. Happy as always to spot so many helpful and friendly faces for the hunts as it certainly made their odds of success a lot higher.

The silver lion comes, slighter than the others but stouter than the yearlings, and with lithe muscles more adept than the rotundness of Talisa. Others might be proud of this but Parvati dreaded that they might have to take on a key role (and fail), their clumsiness at any great acts of strength having plagued their entire life and compounded by the self-awareness and predictions of further embarrassment. "Can I just keep them from running?" Parvati keened low, bowed muzzled toward @Maia who seemed to be taking charge. Ears were back to show humility although their expression, usually blunt and blank, seemed too strained to manage shame.
