Gentle kisses from a few springtime sprinkles touch his hide in the young hours of the morning. The sun had yet to fully start to rise over the distance herizon but that didn’t stop him from searching his surroundings. Two mismatched eyes gazed out at a surreal scene as if it was part of some romantic comedy. Green grass with a bunch of pretty flowers. The scents of the flora flooded his nose but were partly drowned out by the rain. He had came here following some prey. Finding it he got lower and ready for a hunt. Who knows maybe more random locals will join him like last time.

Orson knew these field lands. They had been his main haunt and hunting grounds for quite a while now and he was familiar with the habits and movements of the prey animals that grazed here. He’d become adept at hunting here and recent circumstances and forced many a solo hunt. It added a level of difficultly but lent to a welcome increase in skill. However, it was common knowledge that hunting in a group gave a distinct advantage, increasing the odds of success and decreasing the likelihood of injury when taking on large prey. But finding a suitable hunting party was easier said than done when one was a rogue. Once Orson had lived in a pretty sweet pride. They were elephant hunters, successfully taking down a handful of the giant delicious beasts in his time with them. Orson had even participated in a few of those hunts and he would never forget.

There was no chance he could ever hope to take an elephant on his own though. Not now and maybe not ever. He was even hesitant to take on some of the larger ungulates without aid. He just couldn’t afford to take a gash from a stray horn, or a harsh kick in the wrong place.

So when Orson spotted a stranger posturing to stalk the herds, he rose from his hidden spot, where he’d been lounging in the shadows of thick brush within a small copse of trees. He moved carefully towards the other lion, casting him a careful look to assess his receptiveness to Orson joining in on this hunt. A short nod, followed by a glance in the direction he intended to go would signal Orson’s intent before he would move to slide off into the grass to take his position in the hunting formation.

this place is sickening sweet and it makes her nose itch. yet still, faustine prowls through, picking her way from one shadow to the next. her too-big paws stomp on the flowers and the insects skittering across, but her intention isn't to destroy this place. she wants food and she wants it now. the last time she ate, she only had a fat hare, but that was a few hours ago. now, she's hungry and her stomach's insistently growling at her for more. the girl slides low, already prepping herself to pounce, as she ventures across this floral-scented land. there are already at least one lion present, but their presence only serves to make faustine irate. she'll have to share the catch if something gets hunted, wouldn't she? eight months, no bonus

As time drawled on, the Scillan Queen found it harder and harder to find these small moments to escape. She'd slipped free of the Lagoon knowing it very well might be the last for a long time to come, fear driving her and her pridemates into locking her away, keeping her fettered at the bedside in hopes of surviving all that ailed her. But in these last glimpses of freedom, Tinúviel felt weightless; her prancing through the garden accompanied by the sudden call to hunt, the drive to fulfil that instinct. Thus, Tinúviel turns, and begins to make her way toward the group in preparation for what was to come next.

3 years, no bonus His family had been quiet, laying low while they figured the place out, he supposed, but that wasn’t his style. He was bored and constantly on the search for something to do, so when he found a small hunting party beginning to form, he was quick to head over. A few of the faces looked familiar from the other hunt, but he wasn’t here to socialize. At least, not until their prey had been taken down first. The last thing he wanted to do was scare their target off. He settled in, content to follow the lead of whoever was in charge of this particular hunt once it began.

The seasoned leopard could take some comfort in the shadows of dawn. He moved from the grove to those plains, riding on the hypothesis that the lions used these as their main hunting grounds. It would be a shame to miss out on such a free ride. Lorant loped along with senses peeled as he took in the features of the territory, noting how the tall grasses broke out into a lush garden of all things. He might think it romantic if he cared for such frivolities.

Once he picked up the scents of a small band of lions the leopard veered in their direction, keeping his tail low so as to try and sweep away his imprinted tracks in the flowers. He knew better at his age than to leave an easy trail to track him by. Flashing a devil's smile at any who dared to look his way, he settled in to begin stalking their prey.

Even the cloying perfume of summer blossoms couldn't mask the scent of prey. From the edge of the garden Spark had caught the smell, and followed it like a map to the big, red X where a group of hunters were already waiting, crouched in the flowers.
As Spark quietly approached the party to join them, he noticed a small, spotted feline in the ranks. Not a lion, clearly, but Spark had never seen anything like them before. Tentatively, he moved next to the little creature, curious to see how they would hunt with all of these lions. He wanted to say hello, introduce himself and find a polite way of asking so what are you, exactly? but Spark didn't want to make any noise that would alert the prey of their presence.
He waited for the signal to start, and decided he would bother the fellow feline after the hunt.

He busied his paws. No time to learn like the present, right? Matayo stalked forward with bloodshot eyes and a heavy heart after the scent of prey, the aroma steadily becoming muddled with that of flowers and lions alike. He glanced around at the flickering movements of other felines stalking through the gardens, taking up that tell-tale lion hunting formation in preparation for what was to come. Only one lurked in the shadows, likely waiting for a more strategic position than merely chasing after their target in a sprint – a leopard. His heart rose up in his throat.

Anya - mom.

But it was no such cat. It would never be, again, Matayo reminded himself. He gritted his teeth and forced his eyes away from the spotted feline, fixing them stubbornly ahead on the prize he would earn. Admittedly, the boy had never hunted with a group of lions before. He would need to get used to it.

The intoxicating perfume of this place is simply too much. Having it brushed onto her dark fur may indeed allow Viveka some measure of anonymity from her prey and other hunters alike, but it's hard to properly appreciate it when she has to spend so much effort on trying not to sneeze. She presses a paw delicately to her nose, taking in a deep breath beneath the cover as if it might soothe her rising irritation (it doesn't), before sliding in to claim her place at the edge of this latest hunting party she'd stumbled upon.

Perhaps raking her claws down something's hide would prove to be a better relaxant.

The dappled beast could swear that there were more and more flowers here each time he passed through. His interest in the flora is one of a practical nature, but this morning, as he jogs briskly through the fields to ward off the slight chill of the sprinkling rain, his eyes can't help but catch upon the brighter blooms. Lilies, rosemary, lavender...a more skilled paw might be able to draw out their uses properly, but for now, Mircea can only find their sight pleasing and their scents soothing.

But he is not alone in the garden today. The tangled scents of other felines draw the Savante up short, and he prowls forward with a bit more care once the signs of a hunt become clear to him.

So many beasts. What did they hope to fell here today? Mircea can only hope for something truly big.
