We’re hell raising

So much had happened in the last few days, weeks even. First Nymeria had died of her sickness, a sickness that Ygritte couldn't have prevented from taking her. Then @Cerberus joins her in the brook and they become mates - husband and wife even; though that title had never been given - and she was now pregnant. It showed; heavily for her size. After that surprising news, the raid and now this. Ygritte felt that she couldn't catch a break and her heart was breaking because of it. So when the call for the Brook went up, her heart dropped.

She had taken note of the herbs she had in her satchel and shrugged it over her shoulders and made her way to the call. Her paws ached but not because of the added weight of her ever growing stomach but because of the ache in her mind for her home. She would never leave it unless it was absolutely necessary and right now Ygritte didn't think it was. Not yet anyways.

Her paws carried her to the growing crowd, taking in the scents. She remembered their scents from the raid, Lorien Plains. Her mind wondering why they even wanted the Brook so badly, what had they done to deserve this?! Slowly, she moved through the lions and found @Raizel and nuzzled her softly. Stay strong. And another (@Eisa) but Ygritte didn't go close to her knowing she had been taken during the raid and her heart sank further. But finally, she found Cerberus closer to the challenger, and talking in a language she was not familiar with but Ygritte brushed against his leg nonetheless in support.

Amara felt an odd sense of something rumble through her at the call for the Brook reached the Bluffs. She debated at first if she should go, they weren't allies and for the most part had just avoided each other in anything to major. She did have a former member of theirs in her lands, against her will to some degree. Still, the need to know how this went compared to the last few times pulled her from her higher lands and carried her to the Brook.

Amara spotted @Helah first and moved to her side as she looked around and quickly spotted the male who was calling for the Brook. Her whole body went stiff as her gaze flicked toward the leg that she had been tugging on not to long ago. He likes to steal cubs. Amara whispered to Helah as she flicked her gaze around. There seemed to be an odd lack of Brook members here. Amara wasn't aware of the raid that had happened not along ago so the feeling of something being off seemed to settle over her. She pressed herself slightly into Helah as she wanted to see what would happen here.

She didn't know who this man coming into her home was, but he was breaking the rules! Mami was always clear about respecting borders and this guy wasn't doing it. Even if Mami was no longer the queen (which also meant Freyja wasn't a princess anymore, much to her sadness), rules were still rules! If she remembered correctly, trespassers and enemies were definitely not allowed!

Offended, the girl trotted a safe distance away from the big plum brute and began shouting. Hey you! You aren't supposed to be here! This is rule breaking!

Wait…he smelled like the bad guys who came in and attacked her home! They attacked her friends! Her family! They made her hide away while Mama was out protecting them. They couldn’t get away with this!

Incensed, Freyja charged forward, jaws splayed in an attempt to bite at Aeistrios’ toes. That would show him!

The lack of Brook members was what excited Aeistrios the most.

@Eisa speaks in reply to him, and he smirks wildly. Boldly. Tauntingly. He doesn't reply, but rather allows her to sit in the dwelling silence of waiting for support to show for the Brook. Support, that he had worked hard to weaken.

He sees only a few arrive, spots @Helah among them. He smiles to her, tempted to go and throw flirts her way - but Eisa roots him to the spot. He is too proud of her being his to move away from her. @Amara is there as well, and he observes her. Wonders what she is thinking - for she was there the day Lachesis went after young.

He didn't get too much time to think on it, though, for a cub came full force towards him with splayed jaws going for his toes. A grunt of alarm, no longer next to Eisa, but rather up and balancing on his three limbs while the cub chomped down on his wounded leg, worsening it further. Eyes narrow, seeing the distinctive marks of Cassandra in this child. Fair game, then.

She wanted to play big - attack him? He'd play big back.

His own jaws splay, and Aeistrios attempts to bite down on the back of her neck with the same amount of force he would do to an adult, tail lashing behind him for balance.

For the last day or so, Analia had noticed that the scent of their leader was diminishing. There was something not right in the land of Vermeda and she had tried her hardest to snoop around the pridelands and those outside of it to see if she could figure out what was amiss, but all she could hope was that she was driving herself mad. Yet, she knew there were some truths to her madness no matter how it had come to be.

So when a stranger came knocking at their borders for a chance to win the throne, Analia felt her heart beat swiftly inside of her chest. It's over. Even if her Uncle were here, he had been wounded by so many fights... and of course, that would be when they came. Pushing when they were already weakened and yet, Analia didn't feel fear -- especially not when she could see the bright and burning figure of @Eisa.

The girl lingered in the shadows of her home and knew she wanted to go to her sister. Go to her best friend and the only thing that ever truly felt real sometimes. Eisa may have believed that she was the reason war had come to them but Ana did not see it as such. There were times when she laid in her quiet den that she wished that she had been taken by the Plains so that she could be with her sister, at least. Too often did she shake her head, knowing her sister would argue that point.

With what some might call luck or some small bits of fear, she notices quickly that something has caught @Aeistrios' eyes. She couldn't be sure how long he would be occupied or if anyone was actively still lingering around her sister's figure but Ana took the opportunity to at least approach. Eisa! She called in a shouting whisper, crawling from the shadows and slinking through as close as she would be allowed to get.

A big if she was allowed to get close enough, she whispered to her sister for her ears only. Aquila's scent is scarce, I don't know if he will show... there was a lot more doubt in her mind than the words that she gave but nothing was looking good. The raid that they had performed not so long ago would prove fruitful now. Briefly did her eyes flicker around to see if that yearling that she had maimed had shown up to this but not surprised that the girl was not among them yet.

Slowly lions begin to gather, yet she is starkly aware of the lack of Brook presence. Aware of the fact that it is strangers that she sees the most of. She notes Ygritte, recognizing her but not speaking to her- not calling out in order to protect her from Aeistrios. She sees the Bluffs lionesses arrive, recognizing them from challenges, and the scent they carry enough to know what pride they belong too but they say nothing.

She was not prepared for Freyja's arrival and the actions of her younger sister, make her chest hammer in anxiety as she snarls in rage. Not to her sister- no for her all she feels is fear, but rage at @Aeistrios, for daring to engage a fight with her.

A voice whispers her name, and Eisa aims to shift backwards, recognizing the speaker to turn her battered body to face @Analía, to hear what she has to say. Her heart sinks, to hear that Aquila has seemingly vanished. That his scent had lessened. Was her mighty uncle truly gone? Would she be forsaken to life as a prisoner until she could escape? Eisa shuddered in despair at her sisters words, and yet she knows their time is borrowed. So quickly, she issues one last potential order if her sister will listen,

"Go to the Summit, Ana. Take Freyja and the rest of the siblings and go, as soon as she's done." She would whisper, a watchful eye on the fight. "I love you." She added on, voice hardly more than a breath as she whispered the endearment to her sister, and the order to go- protect the family because Morrigan and Talisa would care for them, would keep them safe.

She may be heiress no more, but she is the eldest sister and the desire to protect her family is all she feels. Even if she is to remain ensconced in the plains with proverbial shackles around her paws for now.

In all of her play fighting with her siblings, she had never fought like this. Of course, they weren't really trying to hurt her, but this guy was different. Very different. It wasn't like her to be so aggressive but she was so angry. Why wouldn't she be? He attacked her home! He was breaking the rules! He tried to hurt her friends!

Safe to say, when she bit down on his toes, she did not quite expect to feel the pressure of a hard bite in the back of her neck so soon after.

Shrieking, Freyja flailed her paws wildly, attempting to reach up and scratch at his eye. Let go, you big fat meanie!

The cry came for another pride and Kireena left her own den, crossing the sands and moving towards the Brook. She wasn't familiar with the lions of Vermeda or their current leadership - nor was she overly familiar with the lions of the challenging pride. Still - it seemed a good a place as any to approach and get information.

Remaining outside the borders, the red giant made her way and paused, noting those in attendance already with dual-toned optics. She took in the challenger and had to admit he was handsome - but beyond that she knew little. The druid would turn, noting a shout and saw a child attacking a large adult.

Ear flicked as the warrior glanced over his wounds - noting him already weakened and injured, she saw little reason to intervene.. after all the child's family would come to assist, right? Still.. she wasn't a fan of the beating of small children.. The Andallan settled to the side, her expression unreadable as she waited for things to happen.

Conveniently, she didn't notice the two lionesses off to the side as wibbly wombly timey wimey things and vagueness.

It seemed she was not all as brave as he thought.

As his jaws enclose around her, he does not hold back the force of his bite. Blood dribbles from the torn skin, and Aeistrios aims to shake her in his grasp. Her paws flail, wildly slashing out and her claws tear along the skin by his eye - a steady stream of blood following the tear.

She insults at him, demanding he let her go… and so he gives her what she wants. He aims to try and throw her from his jaws to the ground at his feet, releasing his grip as he snarls. “Don’t act scared now. You started this.” He seethes to her, eager to carry out the rest of this fight.
