She grunted as she was able to knock space between the pair of them, indignant fury gripping at her chest at the realization that she had lost so easily – that she had not even managed to secure one of these brook lions as her ransom. She snarled with haggard breaths as the lioness went on with bitter accusations that failed to quite land upon the young cat.

"You don't get it!" She huffed between breaths. Adrenaline was beginning to fade, leaving in its wake only the throbbing pain of her new wounds. "They won't let me go!" Anniston furrowed her brows with a steady glower as she regarded the moonlit skeleton before her. It was all the argument she would make for herself, for even the fallen heiress knew she was no saint. She only thought the cryptid should see this for what it was: everyone doing what they must to get by.

She did not bother to linger for further conversation, instead limping away through the brush to try and slip out unnoticed. She was done giving of herself. They would not have her.

The spray of blood doesn't do much except clear Khal's airways, but it was enough for the Valour ranger to feel his teeth sink into the left side of his opponent's face. Blood drips heavily onto the earth from his own cheek as the man suddenly starts to pull back. It is all Khal can do to simply attempt a tighter grip as his opponent pulls away, recognizing a favorite move of his mother's a moment to late.

He attempts a meager effort at driving his claws deeper into the injured paw of his enemy as he is forced to stagger backward against the explosion of pain in his nose. Jaws hang open and near-useless as more blood fills his nostrils and he is forced to pant for air around the reeling in his skull. The wounds on his heaving chest had spread a scarlet stain again the wheat colored mane now.

He was fatiguing. If he was to have any hope of winning this, he needed to think of something quickly.

He had succeeded in dragging the woman's butt downward. He was in mid bite mode when her paw came to push against his face. His teeth got only air as they clacked together. His eyes closed in preparation for pain. The boy fully expected to feel claws in his cheek. Yet nothing came. All she was doing was pushing.

Asbjørn snarled in agitation. You want to come here and attack my home!? My family?! But not fight back?? He pulled away just enough to try and attempt to leap onto the woman's lower back, needle claws seeking purchase in her flesh once more. Fight back or get lost! The little warrior shrieked.

It hadn't been instantaneous, but there was an annoying itch starting around where her claws had pricked his face. Once he could return home, a bath in the river would be a top priority, to wash off whatever she was using.

Her head turned, teeth aiming for his wrist as his paw moved back toward the ground. Teeth clipped the inner side of his wrist, and he might have laughed at the revenge if he hadn't been focused on other things. Skin parted, a pair of neat slices opening up, but the blood was merely a shine on his dark fur rather than an excitingly visible stain. The pain would come later, when his focus broadened away from the task at hand.

While she went for his wrist, his fangs would aim for her face. Ryker attempted to bite down around her right eye - not to grip, but to tear and cause as much damage to the area as he could manage. Right forepaw met the ground again; he'd give the limb a second to rest, hoping the sap on his claws would act quickly.

Through the heat of battle he heard the loud hey!, but Velimor's eyes did not pry away from the cubs he'd sought to protect. As much as he would have liked to pry himself away and throw himself at @Reah, he could not endanger the life of the children he now fought beside, especially now that the lioness @Mavour had come to join them. Could their King not handled his own, he thought? Did they truly need three grown lions in order to fight an old man and some cubs? However, in his attempt to keep his mind focused on protecting the cubs, Reah was free to grab his tail and snap, her jaws clasping around the once-lashing appendage, saved only y the lack of nerves from battles long fought, lest the power behind her bite truly unearth him. Teeth gritted, before parting in a loud yowl as @Aeistrios' teeth dug into the brunt of his shoulder, driving large puncturing wounds deep into the flesh, bracing against the bone.

They were surrounded, a large pile of lions fighting amongst one another. Velimor could hardly keep track of the younglings as they swarmed their assailants, could not take hold of their injuries. But he would fight as valiantly as he could muster, throw himself to the wolves if it meant protecting them. Thus, his paw lurched upward, and attempted to bare down upon Aeistrios' spine, between his shoulders; claws unsheathed, hoping simply to be enough to pry the man's jaws from his shoulder. So too did his tail lash within Reah's jaws, attempting to wrench free of her grip even at the expense of earning more wounds from it. Perhaps, if he were successful in his attempt, his lashing tail might strike her as well. A man could dream.

She felt the pressure of @Darcy attempting to push her forward, the woman's head pressing deep into her chest. Were it not for their difference in sizes, her opponent might have been more successful; but Ahyarë bears her weight down, and quickly sits, making it far harder for Darcy to push her out. The woman had managed to shove the Tollaire back a few inches, however, and the pressure she now applied to her chest nearly winded her. But she was far from done.

Both her forepaws came upward now, and attempted to wrap around Darcy's neck, attempting yet a similar motion except this time downward. Ahyarë hoped to use her larger size to drag Darcy to the ground.

There was a size difference yes but that hadn’t stopped her from trying. This was her home and she had to at least try to stop the larger lioness from disrespecting it. She might be smaller and older but that doesn’t change that her heart was here. Ears pinned against her skull as she felt movement. A few inches was a tiny victory but then the wheat girl sat down. No fair! Now it was like she was trying to move a rooted tree with her head. In all honesty she was giving herself a headache more than anything else. Though had she used her head she would have realized she had left her neck wide open for attack and gasped as paws wrapped around her neck and she was forced down. This was getting tiring and she felt the stress making her neck sore and tender. "My dear I think you are misunderstanding the meaning of babysitting. These roles are backwards." She growl coughed as she attempted to swing her front paws wildly attempting to hit anything as she started to panic.

The poison from his own claws was increasing her unwellness. But as the brick-headed she was she wasn't going down without a fight, without giving hell before she went off.

The fight went on as her fangs managed to at least wound the inner side of his writs. She was content that she at least was able to make him bleed, even if it wasn't as bad as she was hoping to do at first. There he went to bite her on the face, dangerously close to her right eye. In response she aimed to lower her head more his fangs snatched higher on the same side of her face he went for. But hoping for it not to harm her eye. She felt the pain and blood start to slip down her face and some of it getting on her right eye was making her struggle to see clearly just red.

She wanted to use the chance that he got his jaws occupied on her face to rise her left front paw a bit and then she ATTEMPTED to step on his toes on his right paw. AIMING to cause some damage in there. It was all she could do in her weakening state.

The sudden touch of another made him jump in shock, but the scent of home and the soft voice made him relax. Get out of here? but, there was fighting to be done! Elysian opened his maw to protest but immediately closed it feeling himself gag. A sick groan left the teenager while he leaned against her, stumbling with her off the battlefield. The blood pouring down his face would typically blind any other lion. However having already been blind in that eye, he wasn't hindered more than usual. No that blow to the head had been just as bad, if not worse. Nausea, dizziness and his ears ringing loudly now he was stunned, unable to gather himself properly. "gonna.. win" he muttered between gags before falling silent again.

He attaches himself to her neck like a demented parasite. Snarling with sick satisfaction as her pulse thrums against his mouth. It instills that all too familiar predatory instinct. He wanted to go tighter. To dig deeper and wait for the beating to fade.

Lyle resisted and shoved down his savagely intrusive thoughts. He wasn't out to kill her. Only teach her a lesson. Don't come tromping into a battle if you weren't prepared for a fight.

He sucks a sharp breath in through his nostrils as her claws dig into his chest. His snarl returns as the punctures seep in through his thick coat. He does release her throat but only so that he may try and attempt to bite the side of her face towards her jaw line.
