Laveau was late to the party, her dark form ducks in and stays near the back, hoping to stay out of sight, and out of mind, she looks around the room, pale gaze dull, her fight was gone the moment her children were wrenched from her, and her lover lost forever. Though she found no body, she knew he was gone, he wouldn't have just left her or the cubs willingly.

Truthfully that was why she had trailed behind the family, for the cubs, but each one was missing, and she was hopeful they made it out to safety, away from this cursed family.

She cannot even meet her brothers gaze, @Vain was always her rock, and she forces herself to stay back, unwilling to let him see her so broken, @Odium gets her attention briefly but she knows his words are true, and feels shame that she hadn't left when he did. @Ruin speaks and a tiny warmth flutters in Laveaus heart, her sisters voice calls to her but again she doesn't answer.

Poltergeist speaks and she feels nausea rolls over her, tears spring in her eyes and she stares glares at the floor beneath her.

Poltergeist was glad his mane hung in his eyes at that moment because he couldn't keep himself from rolling his eyes at almost everything his father said. And he had a feeling the old man would get a bug up his ass if he saw that.

Though, what @Discord did not know was that most of the conflict was within the family, not outside of it. With them all scattered to the wind, it made little sense to make enemies with those surrounding you. I mean, that was at least how he thought of it. So, when he mentioned who made what enemies, Poltergeist scoffed. "None for me, father. Everyone likes me," Poltergeist piped up, lifting his head and puffing his chest out proudly. Yes, he was being a sass-pancake and was partially sarcastic. "I practically have to beat them off with a stick," he added, shooting a glare towards @Laveau.

Poltergeist might've shared a laugh with @Odium had the man not been after all their throats. And perhaps, he did not make that clear to Discord now that he stood before him, but he did to the rest of them. Poltergeist knew his secret, and while he couldn't really care what Odium thought about their family, he'd happily chew the man's balls off himself if it'd shut him up.

Poltergeist glared towards @Archaic - past Odium, but hey, if the bastard wanted to take it personally, let him - for siding with him in the first place.

A Lion Doesn't Concern Himself With The Opinions Of Sheep

In truth, Fury did not see how @Odium was looking at Viper, and as she scolded her sister, the male would eventually break his glare and focus his attention on someone else - like their grandfather. She was too young to understand the reason for the male’s hate towards their family, but she did understand one thing - he was calling them weak.

“Speak for yourself!” Viper growled, speaking to Odium directly, glaring up at him from her position between Fury and @Archaic. Fury, perhaps, didn’t feel any specific way about what the male said, but that was because she wasn’t quite old enough yet. Still, Fury could sense the tensions in the area heightening. She didn’t want to be caught sitting next to this lion if the next thing Grandpa Discord was going to do was dive upon him.

“Come on, Viper. Let’s go sit by momma,” Fury said, nudging her sister. On her way there, she shot a glance toward @Wraith, inviting her to come sit with them as well... to potentially avoid the drama that was undoubtedly going to happen here.

The man liked to consider himself fairly patient, but the very moment that @Odium rose and began to approach, spewing his obvious hatred for the family, sent adrenaline coursing through the Patriarch's veins. Perhaps he had been foolish to think his son's could carry on their lineage with ease, but if Odium wished so badly to be stripped from this family then Discord would be more than happy to oblige. The very moment the children were safely out of harm's way would Discord rise to greet him, a sinister smile taking hold. "By the way you whine I'd be happy to show you the door. You can consider yourself disowned, though allow me to leave you with a parting gift first." He snarls before launching himself forwards. His muscles coiled and released like a well-oiled machine, his claws quickly unsheathing and teeth bared as he barrels at Odium. Those teeth of his salivate at the very thought of sinking into the male and so he greedily snaps at the face of his opponent attempting to make contact. Let him leave this place remembering who he had provoked. Discord had every intention of keeping things here professional, but sometimes profession needed to be put aside in order to decree what was law. Anyone who would disrespect the Black name could be met with tooth and claw; Discord had been pent up for far too long anyways.

Odium had truly believed the old man would have simply taken his bullshit laying down, so he was a bit taken aback when the Patriarch took to his paws to meet him with a snarl. It was a 180, for sure, and as @Discord launched at Odium with vicious intent, he saw the unhinged spirit of the family name once again.

After the initial shock, Odium gathered himself and smiled widely. He had no witty remark to throw back, but he didn't intend to take such an assault lightly... nor did he intend to turn tail and run.

~FIGHT POST~

Odium set himself into a defensive stance and let his opponent come to him. His fangs bared, maw agape and a growl rumbling from his throat. His head lowered to be even with his shoulders as his feet rooted him to the soil.

As Discord's snapping jaws made for his face, Odium brought his head up and lifted slightly onto his hind legs. The movement caused Discord's fangs to instead penetrate into Odium's right pectoral. With a grunt in pain, Odium would use his freed up foreclaws and slashed down at both of the old man's shoulder blades. Simultaneously, Odium would attempt to snap his fangs around the scruff at the back of the older man's neck.

The brief second of shock on Odium's face was enough to send Discord surging closer. He was tired of the complaints and the whining and he'd hardly even gathered them all for an hour. If they were going to recover they would need to weed out the weak links regardless, Odium was just making his job a hell of a lot easier. His teeth miss their mark as the boy rises upward to greet him and instead of hitting his face they would sink into the hard flesh of his right pectoral region. Discord would clamp down harder, even as the boy's claws rake down his shoulder blades leaving angry lacerations in their wake. Discord has never shied from pain, even now when he feels teeth clamp onto the scruff of his neck. The older man would seek to push against Odium then, his own right forepaw reaching upward to try and grapple onto Odium's left shoulder, claws searching for flesh to anchor against.

Fangs sink deeper into his flesh where the older man's teeth had caught him. Though he was thankful such a grip had not landed upon his face - as was the intended target - he still felt rather distracted by the pain of jaws that refused to release him. Odium was driven onward, however, as the blood of the Patriarch oozed upon his claws and between his fangs, the flesh of the other man's shoulders lacerated, and his scruff caught between Odium's jaws.

Odium might be out matched, out weighed and out skilled, but he was determined to give the man a good, bloody fight!

Suddenly, he felt Discord push forward, his right forepaw reaching up and successfully catching Odium's left shoulder. His claws hitched into his flesh upon Odium's bony left shoulder blade just at the side of his neck.

Odium had limited options by means of counter in such a position. Blood had begun to well up from the punctures made by the other man's claws as they successfully anchored into his flesh. With the Patriarch's scruff still in his maw, Odium decided he would attempt to pull down and then back with all his might - an effort to render the left side of the male's neck exposed and vulnerable to attack. As he pulled, he would attempt to make a wide swipe with his right forepaw in an effort to pound his extended claws into Discord's (hopefully) exposed neck.

His claws hook into the bony shoulder of the boy and grapple, clinging to the flesh there as he stabilizes himself. He reluctantly releases Odium's chest in order to recalculate and as he does so he can feel the boy wrenching himself backwards slightly. With this movement Discord shifts, tearing himself from Odium's hold. Part of his mane and a bit of skin are ripped away, leaving an open wound in its wake. The blood pools from the wound instantly, coating his soft pelt crimson. It only drives him onward, his yearning for bloodlust insatiable. He feels Odium's claws as they sink into the exposed left side of his neck, the flesh burning from the sensation of skin being sliced open yet again. Discord takes this time to attempt and rock backwards, hoping to rake his claws down Odium's left shoulder as he moves to ground that paw once more. In a split decision he would then lean forward, jaws agape, to attempt and latch onto Odium's right foreleg and clamp down.

If You Think You're A Hero

The older man's hold on Odium's flesh finally eases, though with a great deal of disappointment, Odium feels his own hold on the other man's scruff begin to slip and faulter completely. Odium's jaws snap at the open air in a futile attempt to renew his hold as Discord rips himself free violently.

Odium feels his claws make sweet contact with the older man's flesh as his paw slams into his neck. His claws revel in the sensation of warm blood as they rake through his soft flesh, though it is short lived as his opponent rocks backwards - leaving gaping lacerations in Odium's left shoulder as he does so.

Pain shoots through Odium's body, causing a vicious snarling growl to rip from his throat. Blood pours from the wounds in his shoulder, staining his pelt with additional crimson.

It was then Discord would lean forward, jaws agape as he moved straight for Odium's right foreleg! Thinking quickly, Odium lifted his right foreleg high in an attempt to counter the man's attack and aim to swipe down viciously upon his forehead. In doing so, the man's teeth successfully catch Odium's right elbow, sinking deep into the flesh to the point where it feels his fangs hit solid bone!

At the last moment Odium manages to move his leg upward and instead of Discord's teeth sinking into his forearm they latch onto the boy's right elbow instead. Discord's grip is firm, even when he feels Odium's claws slice across his forehead. Blood spills down the front of Discord's face and the lacerations burn from the onslaught of cold air in his newly acquired wounds. He snarls, raising his right forepaw to aggressively swipe inward towards Odium's exposed armpit. Discord attempts to gauge his claws into the crevice of tender flesh and tear, if he was fortunate enough. He was crazed and furious, simply looking to shed blood and make an example of this boy who dared mock him.
