With winter, much change had been brought about. Snow fell and covered the ground, leaving Orchid often cold as she moved between the Aviary and visiting Recluse. She didn't quite know what Poltergeist was doing these days, she assumed he soon would join a pride as well, somewhere she could purposefully see him; but for now, the dark colored brother was enough.

Quite recently, even, the very man had been welcomed into the plains pride where Renfri and Aeistrios ruled, her mind slipping to the abyss woman with warmth in her cheeks. They had spoken, the heiress who was carrying the Saxe king's offspring and her had come up with ideas. The Noire and the Saxe could benefit from one another, each family clawing their ways from the fallen depths. And so, with @Recluse finally settled into a new home, Orchid crossed the plains border with purpose and sought him out.

She didn't fear being attacked, after all Aeistrios had invited her onto the lands himself before, and Renfri was quite aware the lilac woman's husband now lived here.

And so, occasionally calling for the plum man as she made her way deeper into the territory, she felt giddy and strange. She was going to finally give herself to a man, albeit for the future of their bloodlines.

Recluse had only just began settling into the Plains, taking his time in choosing himself a den. He would have returned to the peak for bedding and luxury items, be he was headed off by the dark lion from the Cove. The beast seemed to ooze charm in even the simplist of conversation. Fissure would trade a generous amount of furs, herbs, wine, and even what he referred to as art in exchange for valuable information.

Recluse heard the summons, which came unexpectedly. He imagined Orchid might wait for him elsewhere, but here she was, striding with confidence into a pride not her own. She must truly know the leaders well to do so. She seemed in high spirits as well, it was as if her violent history had never happened. Lady @Orchid, you all looking radiant this afternoon. He commented. Gaze was sharp and seeking, thinking her a very ambitious lioness. He had the suspicion that the cogs in her head were already spinning, plans were already in motion. It would not take terribly long for her new husband to appear, the toxic sweet scent of his arrival sending a shiver down her spine as she took notice of him. She would close the gap quickly, his honeyed words bringing a bright smile to her maw. @Recluse~ eet eez good to zee you again. She would begin. I am glad you decided to take to ze Plains. Ze king has taken a liking to my party planning, she chuckled, and ze heiress Renfri eez a good friend of mine. Ze Saxe family eez like ze Black family, zey are rebuilding quickly and strong. She purred, stepping closer to the plum man with purpose in her gaze.

She batted pale lashes, moving in to rub her head beneath his chin should he allow, peeking upward at him from below. Now zat you have found a home.... I zink eet eez time to bring ze first generation of Noire, and solidify our marriage. She stated, her words sweet but with intent.

It all seemed to come together all at once. @Orchid had befriended this family and likely wished to set betrothals, as eager to rebuild as Recluse was. Typically he would prefer to do most of the planning, but until Orchid proved herself incapable he would let her lead on this.

Her delicate touch would be felt, warming him against the cold winter. It typically went against his nature to do anything on impulse, but nobody was around, and perhaps his earlier encounter with Fissure, who had a talent for leaving Recluse feeling confused and bothered with his shameless flirtation.

He would seek to take hold of Orchid, perhaps to her surprise as well as his own. Wordlessly he would seek to guide her to the ground and take her as his own, and in the process, bring continue their dynasty under a new name.

Words were only spoken by the tiny lilac woman before the plum man would seem to take quick understanding of what was happening. She felt the warmth of his breath on her head and neck as she slid beneath his chin, only a moment passing before she felt her scruff seized in his jaws. She did not exactly expect the deed to happen here, exactly in that moment, but as she was lowered to tuck into the tall grass beneath @Recluse she felt ready. This was the mark of a new beginning, a new generation, a new legacy. Something would be made of this moment.
