Prompt: A pair of Dama Gazelle's begin to graze within the Plains on a warm summers day.
Results Will Be Rolled On: 9th May 2023

4 years, no bonus A few days had passed since the birth of her girls, and though the Heiress was exhausted and sore, she wouldn’t let motherhood interfere with what needed to be done. Food caches were important, especially in winter when food was scarce. The scent of gazelle reached her and she prowled closer, body lowered to avoid being seen by the prey grazing in the distance. Letting out a soft chuff, she found a spot far enough from the prey to wait for more to gather. There were two, and he hope was to get a large enough hunting party that they could take both down at once.

5 years, no bonus

The sun was warm, where she lay in a flat expanse of grass. Her eyes were closed as she rooted along against the earth, rolling over to let her belly face the sun. Yelena stretched, and groaned softly content to enjoy her nap and do absolutely nothing else when the scent of gazelle filtered into her nose. She breathed in and huffed softly. Was she expected to hunt? Yeah, probably. Groaning, and huffing, she rolled over onto her paws and slowly drug herself into a standing position with a soft sigh- before she lumbered towards the scent, gracefully but lazily falling into a crouch as she neared the beast.

5 years, ranger level 3: -1 to dodge roll for prey

The scent of prey was thick in the air, and Reah was hungry. She couldn't help but lick her lips as her dark form stalked through the tall grasses of her empire. Renfri was already on the scene, as well as Yelena. Both of them were crouched and ready to start the hunt, which was a relief. Reah would lower her body towards the ground as well, not wanting to alert the two gazelles ahead. The tip of her tail twitched with anticipation, and a dangerous hunger could be seen within her dark gaze. She would wait for a few others to appear before she would pounce though.

8yrs, no bonus

Much of the dense grasses of the plains were heavy with snow, and the cold of winter at its peak. Wolfgang enjoys this weather the most, his heavy pelt well-suited to the bitter chills. He moves unbothered through the heavy drifts with intentions of a border patrol; but the chuff pauses him. A hunt, an opportunity. The broad man turns his focus to respond.

He arrives, spying several faces he doesn’t yet know. The gentry rumbles a greeting toward them as he trudges up, trying to be as quiet as he could - a little difficult, in truth. He was not built for stealth or the chase. Perhaps he’d be able to work with his fleeter pride mates and put his strength and bulk to use here.

“Tell me where you need me.” is all he remarks, trusting they likely knew more of hunting than he.

The tiny cafe lioness had been wandering the pride borders when her stomach started to growl. So then she went on the search for food. It was winter and food was scarce. As Tulie wandered the pride lands, she saw a pair of gazelle grazing in the sun. There were already others gathering for the attack. Keeping her body low, the Lead Scout crawled forward. Ears lowered against her skull and orange gaze keeping an eye on their targets. The gazelle were an easy target and there were two of them. Hopefully they would be successful on this hunt. Especially with new cubs, the Heiress needed to keep the intake of her food higher to supplement the calories. Waiting for the signal, she would just watch their targets.

Hexa’s large mass moved through the territory, her bodice pushing through the tall grasses quickly. She had been minding her business, simply roaming and wandering. However, she couldn’t help but hear the call from the Heiress to hunt. She licked her lips, her mouth watering at the thought of a fresh and warm meal. So she moved quickly, trotting towards the call. Once the smell of her fellow pride-mates and prey filled her nares, she would slow her gait and lower her form towards the ground. Her ruby gaze was trained ahead, ready for the signal to move forward and decimate the unsuspecting prey ahead of the group.

Though Wolfgang isn’t the one to secure the kill, he liked to think he had helped well enough in this rush through the frozen grasses. The gazelle are easily ambushed and taken down, and he stands in the chilled air with great misting breaths rising from his chest. He had followed their lead easily, but perhaps he should’ve been putting a bit more effort into shaping up. Long, lazy days had taken a toll on him as of late, and he was feeling more dad bod than ever before. Puffed out, all he can do is nod a farewell as he takes a share and trudges off to first check the borders then later, to find his husband.

Though Renfri had been the first to arrive, she yielded to Reah, allowing the Svoereign to take the lead in the hunt. The Queen was more fond of hunting than she was, and with her body still recovering from giving birth, she wasn’t in the mood to do quite as much as she normally would. Still, she kept pace and did her fair share in the hunt. When it was done, she took her share and made her way back to her den. With the cubs being so young, she didn’t like to leave them for long, and she doubted anyone would take issue with her quick departure. -exit-
