4 years, No bonuses Perhaps it might have been foolish to participate in a hunt with her sides so swollen with the babies in her womb, but Sunder couldn't resist when the scent of a lone impala wafted gently on the breeze through the Cove. Her stomach growled hungrily, encouraging her to locate the prey and hopefully bring it down. Just because she was with child didn't mean that she couldn't hunt or do other activities. She had been very careful thus far and a little exercise wouldn't harm her. Plus, she knew what areas to avoid and hopefully the others would come forward to assist. Speaking of which, she would let out a soft chuff to summon those in the area. Once, he would not have been able to be here. What games he and his twin had started in the last iteration of Caladan had left them yearning for more; but without Kozrain here, Kvare was left an unguided, uncontrolled mess. It helped, perhaps, that the Cove remained small. Those who were not swept away by the storm were driven from it, and so far, there had only been a few familiar faces who had recouped and returned under the banner of this new King. Kvare, as much as he had to hide before and laze about in that strange suspension of nothingness, now had purpose once more.

His gaze falls onto @Sunder as she stalked the impala, his boyish nature preventing him from quite understanding the subtle swell in her belly, the slight wobbliness with which she walked; but the difference was so demure that even he could see nothing more than another eager huntress stalking their prey through the underbrush. Kvare's patrolling of the borders was soon forgotten, the muscles that burned from climbing the cliffsides and trotting down the beach only aided the adrenaline that coursed through him now. Eager, intent.

The newness of being the High Sovereign was still there and would be for some time. His paws took him along the borders of the pride as he made his marks here and there, reestablishing them. While he had originally talked to Dagge about ruling his own pride again one day, it had come down to be content as just becoming Heir of the Cove under Gauthier. But with the storm and the former King being swept off into the sea that caused for the change in plans yet again. He fought and won. He needed to figure out a search party to look for the missing former King but his wounds were great from Nephthys.

Being so lost in thought in the changes and in his task of patrolling and marking the borders, he didn't realize that there was an impala up ahead until he got closer. It was the chuff in the air from his wife that caught his attention. Periwinkle gaze shifted from his task to focus on another. A hunt. Moving his large mass down closer to the sands, it hurt. A lot. But he would use claw to help bring down their target, since his mouth was useless at the moment. @Kvare and @Sunder were already stalking the impala and he did the same.

A chuff on a relative warm, clear day drew lions in. Dark, organic forms with hunger on their breath. Imago's bare, ungainly paws crunched through a layer of sleet-matted sand. Far from acclimated to this new climate, the neckmane hung back. Small, shriveled form crouched low, advancing with irregular and uncertain steps. Caution there, but sheer ignorance in the raise of the skull and the audacity of sharp pointed ears. Deep blue gaze wandered between all the others. The certainty of their hindquarters and their steps, the single mind of their hunger. Imago spectated and gawked despite existing in the midst of the near fray.

Despite her current physical state Sunder wasn't discouraged from stalking after the impala. Her stomach growled with the promise of a fresh meal and she was determined to be victorious. Steadily she would begin to pick up speed, allowing her body to perform naturally. She would make chase and when she became winded it was clear that the men would help pick up her slack and for that she was grateful. They easily take the impala down with hardly a bat of their eyes and she cannot help the grin that flies across her features. "Well done boys." She encourages before grabbing a small portion of meat for herself. She casts a wink in the direction of her dearest husband before waddling back towards their den, more than ready for a snack and a nap after their victory. exit. With Imago showing up after the High Sovereign, Keligan decided to set himself back. He would only get involved in the hunt if it was absolutely needed. After all, he was still healing from his wounds from the challenge and it wasn't an easy heal like his previous maims. His jaw was pretty useless and keeping his wounds from re-opening was challenging. Watching as his wife and the other lions take down the impala, he nodded to them slowly but wouldn't partake in the meal. It was their prize and for the moment, he had to stick with something softer to eat. The King then followed Sunder back to their shared den. He needed to rest before doing patrols and she needed to rest with her growing pregnancy.
