Perhaps this would be a foolish endeavor entirely, perhaps it was because the war hound was bored with herself lounging around within the Mire. But either way she was begging to dig her claws into the hide of another, even if that other was a pride member. Perhaps this was some oddly foolish quest to garner the attention of @Luther ♔, but who was she kidding? Anything that she could do to potentially piss the man off she would and she'd do it with a chesire grin all the while. Moving towards the epicenter of the Mire she would square her shoulders before letting a roar erupt from her jaws. That chesire grin that hid so much beneath it fitted perfectly upon her face before she called out, "Who shall accept my challenge for Gentry?" She pauses, ears ticked forward as she waited. And she surely hoped someone would answer, things were far too boring as it was.

A challenge rang out and Livyatan decided to go see what it was about. The ebony lion with ivory contrasts approached the area where the call had come from. Clenched within his jaws making the scar across his lip stretch viciously was the leg bone of some prey animal. A personal thing he had picked up to take some of the gunk off his teeth. Seeing @Drena he blinked a few times then shrugged moving to go lie down nearby. Tucking his bone between his front paws he began to gnaw on it watching her silently. Livyatan had zero interest in the position, but if no one came to challenge her for it he supposed he could give her a thrill or two. Until then he was content to gnaw on his toy.

Not often did she involve herself in within the pride. Already she had Alaric's son skulking about her garden, intrigued by her activities, not that she knew that one came from the leader's loins. Out from the word work she crawled, flecked bodice making itself known to the two already gathered for the display of power hunger. Fulvous eyes took both in. She'd never seen @Drena around, but @Livyatan looked familiar, if only in passing. Lips pulled downward, unimpressed as usual by life, though dark peach paws squared toward Drena at the ready. Me. Rear legs bunched, springing her forward with outstretched forepaws, claws extended toward the other woman's shoulders. Jaws were slacked, open and exposing fangs, keeping that precious throat guarded. She went to grab flesh under her claws, raking down as her head turned inward at the same time and her jaws snapped to find purchase on the right side of the woman's neck. Ears slid neatly against her skull, eyes narrowed with the close proximity of the other's flesh as nostrils took in the perfume of the other, perplexed by who this woman was, yet also focused on the initial play of a bar room brawl.

She is not left to her own devices for long. @Livyatan's presence is met with a solitary nod in his direction as he settles himself nearby, and then she would wait some more. Only moments later would the dappled woman make her entrance; Drena's burning embers locked onto her intently. Me. An arch of a perfectly sculpted brow as she squares her own shoulders, preparing for the onslaught that would come. Ignoring that her body was already sore and worn out from her previous fights against Luther. No matter, she was used to pushing herself. She moves slightly to her left though it would not prevent Gunnhildr's claws from raking down her already sensitive shoulders. Reopening old wounds and causing a snarl to rip from her lips despite any previous effort to keep it contained. Red, blurring the edges of her vision as she feels teeth clamp along the right side of her neck, puncturing the skin lightly. Drena would reach outward with her left forepaw, attempting to hook into Gunnhildr's chest and hold. Her own jaws would snap, attempting to rip into the right side of the woman's neck where nape met shoulder, however her attack wasn't nearly as aggressive as it could have been; she didn't want to butcher a pridemate after all. Regardless of whether said hit landed or not.

Ferocity holds back from jaw strength, not wishing to condemn anyone to death. Playing nice doesn't bode well for future outcomes, team work never being a strong point. Satisfaction pools with the contact of claws against flesh, short lived as her paws seek loam, toes flexing into the muck as her tail sways behind the deep peach form. Close proximity removed the ability to move too much, which meant that Drena's claws found purchase within the tender flesh of the breast, hooking in and pulling at the taut area. Lips peeled further back from her teeth, spittle coating the side of Drena's neck due to muffled snarling. Loosened hold allowed a temporary freedom for the other lioness for she sought to revaluate her own positioning. Teeth clamped into her own neck, heated and painful, causing her ears to tighten against her skull as her eyes squinted with the sudden onslaught of frayed nerves. Head tilted downward so that the thicker more firm plate of the cranium was bared, just as her neck drew back as far as it could, and then she drove forward with as much force as she could muster, trying to headbutt Drena in the side of the head. Toes spread wide against the loam as she had anchored herself for the impact, and hoped that her attack sufficed enough to daze the other woman if it landed.

The various mosses in the swamp have proven to be fairly resistant to winter chill beginning to set in over the lands. It offers Hadiya yet another interesting thing to fixate over when she first notices it properly. When Drena's call for a rank rings out, the seeress had been idly stripping strands of moss from the trees with delicate swipes of her claws, setting the soft material in a rare sunny spot to ensure that any lingering moisture wouldn't ruin them when she tucked them away.

It seemed unlikely that anyone would swipe her little collection if she paused to go see what that challenge was all about. Right? She pads her way over the tree roots and hardening mud with a minimum amount of mishaps, arriving when the battle was already in full spring. My, the Mire lions sure did take these things seriously, if the sound of vicious snarling and heavy impacts accompanied by the faint smell of iron were anything for the sightless girl to go off of.

She settles herself next to @Livyatan, perhaps a bit too close, her foggy eyes staring unblinkingly off in the vague direction of clashing lionesses. "Who's winning?" She asks him softly, curious. Not that she knows either of the women involved, but it was polite to show interest, no?

A challenger appeared and was quick to engage Drena in a match. Livyatan watched with amber eyes narrowed, taking note of their moves and committing anything of particular interest to memory. In doing this he failed to see or hear @Hadiya's approach. She sat close to him, enough that he could feel her body heat. And his fur crackled from surprise, it was her saving grace that they were within the pride borders or this may have played out differently. Livyatan was not one for touch, but a glance at her told him it was purely accidental. She was blind. His brows furrowed while he stared at her curiously, he had never met a blinded lion before. Then she asked him a question and he coughed a bit, oh right. Looking at the fight he frowned thinly, "It is too close to tell just yet." he answered resuming to gnaw on the bone between his front limbs. "I don't think we've met, I'm Livyatan," he introduced between gnaws looking at her still curiously out of the corner of his eye.

~Hubert is attempting to remain hidden~

Hubert is a bit late to the show, perhaps, as he eases himself quietly up into the branches hovering up above the lionesses' vicious display. But it would appear that he's not the only one. He'd have thought that Vater or Slaine might have arrived to observe the spectacle as well by now, but for now he sees neither hide nor hair of them.

No matter. He can relay the outcome of this battle to them if it's required of him, and he is quite curious to see the outcome of this particular skirmish. Gunnhildr is a fascinating woman, one who also dabbles in shadows and secrets. If he'd suspected she'd harbored ambitions before, it seemed that today's events would only serve to confirm it. To what extent do her goals go, he wonders? What is it that drives her forward?

Whatever the answer, it's clear that she won't shy away from a bit of bloodshed to get what she wants. As was to be expected of those who called the Mire their home.

There was nothing but silent determination and hunger in her movements as her teeth moved to clamp onto the nape of her opponent. Her claws hooked into the pliant flesh of Gunnhildr's chest and perhaps they would have held had it not been from the startling blow of the female's cranium against her own. For a moment the word was moving agonizingly slow around them as stars danced across her vision. The ringing in her head turned into a roar and it was everything Drena could muster to keep from vomiting from the impact. For a few long seconds she collected herself, reluctantly releasing her grasp on Gunnhildr. Without hesitating further, she would attempt to swap upward with her right forepaw, hoping to slap the woman across the face in retaliation. Perhaps it was a childish maneuver, but one that Drena wouldn't feel sorry for. Especially not after the mounding pain that blossomed in her head and the bruise that was already forming on her temple from the collision of skulls.

Their dance was a quick yet painful one held within close proximity of one another. Pain danced within her skull at the impact against Drena's own head, feeling a bit dazed as she took a step back from her opponent, relieved that the grip against her chest dissipated, though puncture wounds were left behind. Those could be sorted later, for now she needed to complete the fight, reassess damages afterwards. Eyes were narrowed yet, ears still plastered against the peach skull, but it left her face open just as Drena's paw drug across the breadth of the face, cutting ridges across cheek to cheek. A deep growl came from the thick of her throat, terribly upset as her own left paw rose to try and press into the other lioness's face and attempt to push Drena's head back, away from her. Her own head still pounded with the effort of colliding skulls, leaving her ears ringing as she sought to finish their brawl quickly.
