Summer
The summer season has finally reached its peak. The sunshine is plentiful, the days are long and the air is hot and humid - but the evenings do not seem to provide the same relief that they once had, and remain somewhat stuffy. Thunderstorms have also began appearing more frequently, particularly in the rainforest and eastern region, though the rain is welcomed after a relatively dry season thus far.

Thankfully she seemed to get the hint. Now granted, Jai wouldn't attack her but by golly, he would've eventually ask her to stop asking such uncomfortable questions and maybe one day he'd answer then but not any time soon. Slowly, his gaze went up to look at her and he would not, Yes I am, what about you? I mean.. Not a lion, obviously but.. Um.. Yea.. He felt himself getting nervous and stammering in his question. He didn't want her to think that he didn't know she was a tiger but that was a terrible save for sure.

Leila looked pleased her guess had been right. She shifted from paw to paw with a self-satisfied flick of her tail. She smothered a little smile as he misstepped his words, though the tigress wasn't bothered. "Yeah." she confirmed, pausing to nibble a little itch on her shoulder, "I live in Wolfbron. Have you heard of it? You're from... the rainforest?" She recalled the scents of Jafar and Tobin, and figured they had been similar enough for her to make a confident guess here.
It must've been a large pride, considering how many of them she had been running into lately. Or perhaps they were just a curious, adventuring lot.

So she was part of a pride. Wolfbron. It was one that he had heard of but barely knew anything about. Ears twisting on top of his head as she questioned where he was from and Jai would nod his head at her. Yea, I've heard of it and yes, I live there. He would answer her before finding himself curious. I didn't know a tiger could be apart of a pride too. He would admit, though it was a statement that was a hidden question there on how she joined a pride filled with lions. Surely there was conflict but he admired her for doing so regardless.

So what’s it like? she wants to press, but the pale lion’s hesitance was making her feel like an interrogator. So Leila took turns answering his curiosities, bobbing her head easily. “I wasn’t sure they would either. To my understanding, it’s not very common.” she replied thoughtfully, “But I pull my weight and help them hunt, so everyone just treats me the same. It’s better and safer than being by myself.” one of the driving factors for her seeking the shelter in the first place had been her small stature. Even though @Jai was only of an average build and a yearling, he still towered above her. Most creatures did.

Jai wouldn't lie that he had taken notice of her smaller form compared to his own. Though he wasn't large by no means and still towered over her, Jai could understand why she wanted to have a place to stay safe. Well, I'm glad they took you in. He was. Jai had been lost, helpless and in a lot of pain when Roan had found him and taken him into his home. Jai was thankful for that in so many ways and wanted to eventually repay him for it. What are the Bluff's like? He had never been to it and found himself drawn to darkness than the open sands of the desert.

“Me too.” Leila agreed with a little smile. Though she had been nervous at first, she had quite come to like the bluffs and it’s unusual members. As far as she could tell, the troubling rumours going around about them seemed to be just that.
But what was it like? Leila has to think on the question for a moment, tail swishing behind her. “It’s very mountainous.” she begins with eyes cast to the inky night sky, “Lots of nice rocky shelfs to sun yourself on. And there’s lots of caves too, but I haven’t explored any.” the closest she came to caving in the territory was a little sniff around a shallow ravine. “The view of the sunsets and sunrises are incredible.” she smiled at the thought, striped face light, “I do a lot of night hunting, so getting to see them all the time is a nice little bonus.” she was still smiling when she settled brown eyes back upon the pale yearling. “Do you have any nice views like that where you live?”

A soft smile formed on his pale features as Jai listened to her explain what Wolfbron was like. He listened to her and even though it did sound wonderful. Though with the mention of so much sun only caused his skin to just feel like it was on fire from being in the sun for so long. Yea... I'm not a fan of the sun.. He would state, shuffling his paws against the ground beneath his feet. There are some nice views I guess in the Rain Forest. There is a clearing that opens up and you can see all the stars at night. It was definitely a beautiful sight in his eyes.

Embarrassment flushed Leila’s cheeks as she realised her misstep, dipping her striped head apologetically. Of course. With a pale coat like his, there was no wonder he didn’t like the warming rays nearly as much as her. “Ah, that makes sense.” Leila uttered lamely, not sure whether she should apologise. She’d already make him uncomfortable once already, and she felt bad enough for that! Sometimes, Leila needed to know when to just shut her jaws.
She eases a little as @Jai mentioned more of the rainforest, remembering how warmly the clay man she’d recently met had spoken of it. “I’ve heard it’s very picturesque.” she supported, adding “When it’s not raining.” Jafar and Tobin both had outlined how heavy and sudden the rainfall there could be.

He would chuckle at her comment and shrug his shoulders, It's not every day you meet an albino lion. He would state, seeing as he hadn't met any other albino lions in Amaryllis so he just assumed that he was the only one out there. But that was fine with him honestly as he would listen to her speak about the Rainforest and how it had been explained to her. It is.. The rain isn't that great but not to bad either. He would admit to her, One day you'll have to come see it for yourself. Jai wouldn't mind having a friend there.

Leila peers up through her lashes, relieved to see he hadn’t seemed taken aback by her inattention. She relaxes, tail flicking away any latent worries. “It’s really not!” she agreed with a nod, “I think you’re the first - that I’ve met at least.” She briefly casts her mind back to fact-check it, and believes it to be true.
But back to the rain part of the rainforest… “Mm.” is all she commits at first, then adds, “I’m not very fond of the rain.” Otherwise it did sound quite lovely.
The tigress perks up, enthusiasm returning at the suggestion of a visit. “I’d like that!” Leila agrees, “Perhaps you could give me a tour?” @Jai was the third to recommend the place, after all, and she would not be so ignorant to their advice.
“Um, I’m Leila by the way.” she adds after a moment, realising she had yet to properly introduce herself. It was only polite, if she was asking for a favour…
