Well, today was a good a day as any time teach the youth! Blue skies, little cirrus clouds up there, but nothing extreme. He rose at dawn to walk around a bit, get a drink, and ready himself for his activities of the day. Though he doubted he’d be going at it too hard. Seeing as Cae had no cubs of his own, it made sense to pass on the tricks of the trade to someone. That someone namely being @Ygritte. He was already quite fond of the little one, and he’d not yet properly chatted with her.

Although, in retrospect, he was fond of almost all kids. Their big eyes and paws, little noses, their giggles. Yeah, despite what his resting bitch face might convey, he was a softie. He sat outside the den site and chuffed gently for the blue cub. Waiting calmly for her. One was never too young to learn how to hunt. It was important for survival, and to help the pride (though she didn’t need to do that yet.) He suspected being blind would have its own challenges when it came to hunting, but he promised himself he wouldn’t get impatient or frustrated.

For the last few days, Ygritte had been content with staying inside the Brook for the time being. Which meant that she could explore it even further and find places that only she would be able to squeeze through. It meant that she could meet everyone in the pride as well. The family she didn't realize she was going to have when Nymeria took her in. So far though, Ygritte seemed to be the only cub here and that was fine with her in a way. It meant she got all the cuddles but it also meant that there was a lot of attention on her which was sometimes a good and bad thing. Anyways, today Ygritte would explore around, keeping her other senses alert for anyone else. Even though she wasn't near @Caeso just yet.

Hmmmm... where could she be? He’d called for her after all. He sniffed the air trying to get a sense of where she might be, and catching a trail. Following it towards her at an easy, slow pace. But then... huh. There she was. Blue as the day above them. “Ygritte?” He said softly, taking a seat, hoping he hadn’t startled her. “Sorry, I got worried, I chuffed but I must have been to quiet.” he muttered. Truthfully, he probably had been, he was one of the more soft spoken of the pride.

In truth, she hadn't heard his call for her (aka Azzy didn't see that in the post XD) and had rather enjoyed the silence. Silence that had been nice because she could easily ear the different birds and other creatures that crawled around in the brook of her home. She could smell all of the different yet familiar to her. Though there was one scent that began to stick out to her, one that she wasn't familiar with and soon a voice came with the scent which caused her to stop. Whoever this was, they knew her but she didn't know them and Ygritte would let her ears twitch on her head as she would even tilt her head in the direction of the voice. It's okay, I must be focused on other things. She would state, a smile on her face. You know me but I don't know you. @Caeso

LOOK AT HER HEAD TUFT! His thoughts shouted at him. But his face did not change form his neutral expression. He may be dying because ‘wowcutecub’ in his head, but he was refined. Sort of. It was actually sort of good she could focus in like she had, having ignored his call. Good for hunting, actually. “I’m Caeso Fini, I’ll be your much older cousin when Aquila and I get married.” He explained, lips cracking into a smile then. He supposed he’d probably be more like an uncle, if anything. How many first cousins were... so much older than their cousin? Ugh, yep. He was definitely getting old.

Perhaps it was a good thing. Granted, Ygritte didn't know much about her appearance, not to mention that tuff on top of her head will go away once she gets older and that was just fine with her. Ears twisted on her head once again when he started to speak and she would listen intently as well as listening to everything else around them as much as she could while he spoke. A cousin. Oh that was wonderful and it showed on her face as she would turn more so in his direction. I have so much more family now! She would squeak and chirp at him. @Caeso

Caeso’s heart swelled at the excitement that filled her eyes. If he wasn’t careful, he was going to get a heart attack from this little one. Like he thought, he was getting old. “Cousin Caeso was wondering if you’d maybe want to learn to stalk prey?” He asked, but clarified, “if you don’t want to, that’s alright! If just like to spend some time with you.” Perhaps she would be interested in a different trade, who knew. But he could also maybe have her tag along at an event to teach her diplomacy. Ack, he was getting ahead of himself! She was still a tiny thing yet.

Oh! That would be nice.. But.. I don't know how good I'll be.. She was honest and slightly embarrassed as she looked towards the direction of the ground and her paws as those tiny digits wiggled and shuffled in the brook's ground beneath her. It was her way of showing she was embarrassed or perhaps ashamed, but Ygritte had felt that feeling yet. She didn't know what it meant to be ashamed of something. Now, embarrassment? Yea she knew what that meant. And though she had an idea of what she wanted to be in the future, Ygritte was willing to learn everything if not to show her mama that she was trying to live a normal life outside of her own normalcy. @Caeso

He sensed the doubt and frowned. He lowered himself to the grown a few inches from her and said, in his most mystical voice, “I knew a boy born with very blurry eyesight, his condition got worse and worse, but guess what, Ygritte? In his last hunt, he helped bring down a hippo!” He exclaimed, smiling as he continued to speak, “his name is Ganymede, when he puts his mind and nose to it, he’s just as capable as the other hunters.” He gave her a small boop on her nose with his paw. Grinning. No one should limit themselves, he knew that if she wanted it, she could do it. “You’ll always have the support of your family and this pride. We’ll help you achieve any goals or dreams you have in that little noggin.” He waited to see her reaction, hoping he’d done good.

Really? She would listen to him closely, her ears pushing forwards as she edged closer and closer to him as he spoke. Can I meet him? She wanted to meet anyone who was like her. Who had her condition. But in reality that was going to take a while because not many were like her. Then there was a paw that bopped her nose which caused Ygritte's ears to fall flat before she would speak again. I know when I get older I wanna help people.. Kinda like my Auntie Talisa. She would admit. But I wanna learn to hunt to! @Caeso
