July Y13
Summer
Summer is in full swing now, with clear skies, warm nights, and ample sunshine! As such, the deserts begin to grow dry, the shores remain a blissful escape, the north is spared with cooling winds, and humidity continues to rise in the jungle. Rain and storms are long forgotten troubles by now, which is both a virtue and a vice during the heat of the season.

Ever since her husband has asked if the patched male was Miroslav, Fallon finds herself spending more and more time near Andal, waiting to see if the male that had attacked her might show his face near the desert pride. It makes her feel better, to feel as if she had something to do. It distracts and keeps her mind preoccupied and lord knows she needed a distraction. She is perched on the tallest cliff of the Gorge, bright pink gaze focussed on the Oasis borders, standing tall and inquisitively, watching the ins and outs of lions that were unfamiliar to her.

Angelo was, at this point, waiting for Alexander to get bored with the Oasis and either take it over or set off for (literally) greener pastures. Pretending like he gave a shit about anything the sovereign said was taxing at best, and so he often just... didn't pretend. Which honestly was probably going to bite him in the ass at some point in the near future.
So he wasn't spending a whole lot of time within the pride itself, instead roaming the territory around it if he was feeling particularly charitable about pretending like he was doing something. Hence how he found the woman perched like a vulture looking down on their land.
He tried to come up beside her without her noticing, though sneaking had never been his strong suit. "See anything interesting?" he asked as he drew near to her, moving to peer over the edge with feigned intrigue.

She smells him before she hears his silent footfalls, Fallon turning swiftly to glance over shoulder -- the fur on the back of her neck bristles, the lithe muscles in her grey frame readied as she stares down the stranger that approaches. she has been wary and cautious ever since the attack, the Lorien Noble knowing better than to relax in such a time of crisis.
It is not the man from the Swamp but she remains alert, bright pink gazed distrustful -- especially considering the fact that he carried the scent of the Oasis with him.

Depends on your definition of interesting, she replies with blatant side eye.

He was amused by her reaction to his approach, not certain if she was just startled and threatened by his appearance or if he'd found her doing something she should feel guilty about. Either way, it was amusing to him.
She seemed, to him, to be asking what he found interesting, and he came to sit beside her and look down at the expanse of desert that sprawled beneath them. "Well, not a shit ton of sand, to be honest," he replied. It was all a bit samey after a foot of it. "You're interesting though," he concluded, raising a brow at her slightly. She could take that as she would. As flirting or not. He hadn't decided on whether he meant it that way or not yet anyway.

Well that's hardly a nice way to describe one's own home,Fallon remarks with a quirk of a dark brow, intrigued by the fact that her company smelt strongly of Andal and yet didn't fancy the desert. She supposed that Violarum had never really fancied the Mire and yet had stuck around for other reasons. Perhaps this applied to this striped character.
Hm,comes her non-committal reply as @Angelo describes her as interesting,
you don't even know me.Her gaze switches from the view of the Oasis to the male that has now come to sit beside her, wondering what exactly he meant by that comment.

"Yeah well I wouldn't really call it home," he commented. "More of a place to gather everyone together while we get the lay of the land so to speak." Which, maybe he shouldn't be discussing with a stranger but he didn't see the problem with it. The Savante were going to take a place for themselves at some point. That was a given.
"Not yet I don't," he agreed. He could if she kept talking to him though. "If we keep chatting though, maybe." He looked down at the Oasis again, noticing just how much of it you really could see from here. Not exactly a place that was hidden away. Another tick against it. "Any particular reason you're watching this place like a vulture? Lots of prettier places to hang out and stalk."

Head tilts as the beast reveals his lack of emotional attachment to the Oasis, describing it as a gathering point until perhaps something greater may call to him.
He asks why she might be keeping a weather eye on Andal and though she does not know him, Fallon feels a certain easiness in admitting the reasons behind her behaviour.
The Miroslav's did not rule the Oasis but it was a lead worth following. Suddenly, a plan begins to hatch in Fallon's mind, devious pink eyes surveying her company with growing curiosity.
Got your sights on something bigger?she asks, though it is plain for both parties to infer that this was the case. @Angelo refers to a collective and Fallon notes it in her head that there may be more beasts like him looking for their next big opportunity.

I'm looking for the bastard that did this to me,the Salem woman explains matter-of-factly, motioning to the long scars that ran across her eye.
His appearance made me think of the lions that used to live in the desert.

Wanna help?If she could disguise her scent to smell like his, maybe Fallon could sneak into the pride territory and get a closer look at its inhabitants.

"Yeah," he replied, not seeing a problem with being open about the family's plans. "Alexander's going to make a play for a pride at some point. I'm just not sure which one he's thinking of." If he'd chosen one at all at this point. He was probably getting close to deciding though, Angelo thought.
Angelo made an "oof" face when she indicated the scarring on her face. "What a dick," he commented. Didn't he know it was rude to go for the face? Or to hit a woman? Not that Angelo was really all that chivalrous in nature, because if a woman started something he'd finish it, but still, the thought was there.
She asked if he wanted to help and an easy grin slid across his features. "Hell yeah! If you're planning on going in there you're going to have to be really careful, by the way. Ryker doesn't take to trespassers very well. But I'm sure we can figure something out." He did so love causing mischief, and it wasn't like he felt like he owed anything to the striped Sovereign just for giving them a place to gather the family.

Well, tell this Alex guy to keep his paws off Lorien,Fallon jests, interested to hear what @Angelo and his crew had in store. She supposed that it was only a matter of time before a challenge would be called and all would be made clear. Fallon is inwardly pleased to hear her company agree with her on the matter of the male who had left his mark on her face -- the wound, though having scabbed over, still throbs whenever she thought about the incident. There is mild panic or anxiety too but she hopes that once she seeks revenge, it will all dissipate into nothing.
Her counterpart is all but on board though Angelo offers a word of caution about the leader and his stance on trespass.
He should keep better company if he cares so much about rules,Fallon sniffs, not really thinking through the consequences that may follow. She had a bone to pick and nothing would stand in her way.
I'm going to disguise my appearance and my scent. Would you pretend that I'm some dirty, tired rogue you chanced upon and show me around?Would he agree to escort her around Andal?

"Noted," he replied of her warning, though it seemed said in jest. He guessed that was the pride she was from, and she wanted it staying that way. Not that he thought Alexander would just toss everyone out from whatever pride he took over if they really wanted to stay. It'd depend on why. Just easier to keep away from the plains in general though, he thought.
He squinted at her when she mentioned Ryker should keep better company. "I feel like I should be offended," he commented, honestly not sure. There was a reason why Alexander was the brains of the operation. But, she distracted him enough with her suggestion of sneaking onto the Oasis territory that he promptly let it go.
"Sure, let's do this. Hell, if we need to we can say Alexander invited you. I know he's up in the ranks. If we run into Ryker anyway. I don't think anyone else in the pride would bother to ask." Hell, what were the odds they even ran into the sovereign anyway?
