She had lost again.

She was beginning to sense a pattern in her dealings with Alizabeth and her family, but there was really only one way to deal with that. Get stronger and come back swinging even harder than before. Of course, she would have to get past her mangled leg first. That was going to be a difficult hurdle to overcome.

She had to drag herself from the Lagoon. At least this time no one had insisted on keeping her captive. Not that any of them had the authority to even try that now that they were nothing more than rogues without a home. Lost, scattered like dust in the wind. How fitting it was for Alizabeth to lose her home regardless of winning against Tiamat before. Soon the Lagoon would be ripe for the picking again and Tia would do her best to be their first, before the queen bitch and her entourage.

But for now she was stuck limping, half-dragging her bad leg, along the edge of the black sands of the shoreline, trying to make her way back to the Mire before she completely collapsed and was left vulnerable for anyone to find her. She tried to stay on the packed dirt instead of sand, with varying degrees of success. Finally she had to come to a stop, her breath coming in gasps as she panted. Her multitude of bleeding wounds were nothing compared to the pain in her damaged leg. She collapsed near a clump of dried shore grass, looking about as withered and wasted as she was feeling right now, her chest heaving as she worked to catch her breath and mentally manage her pain.

The pale medic had headed to the other area of sand. He was hoping to find some of that plant that washed up on occasion. Iofiel hadn't completely explored its uses but found it made a great binding agent once it had dried out after being wrapped. The plant shrank and grew tight as it dried out and therefor was good at keeping broken bones in place.

When he drew close to the dark sand he caught the scent of blood on the air. Well, that wasn't usual. Washed up fish being devoured? But no, he didn't spot anything enjoying a seafood dinner down by the water.

The large lion ended up following his nose and came across a lioness. "You are injured. I can help." Crimson gaze was already scanning the woman's various wounds. He was mentally going over which was most severe to least and planned out an order of treatment.

The ache from her right foreleg overshadowed all of the other pain in her battered body. The bone had been snapped and the leg was twisted at an angle that was most certainly not natural. She wasn't certain if it was something she could heal from. Not entirely, at least. And certainly not without help from a skilled medic. The deep stabbing pain fueled a brand new hatred for the man that had done this to her. It was a feeling that had been reserved for Alizabeth before. Now it expanded. Now she hated the whole family.

The sound of someone walking towards her drew her from her rest. She hadn't realized she had let her eyes close as she lay on the cold ground. Most of her wounds had stopped bleeding, but a few still sluggishly leaked her red life-force, leaving small patches of blood in the dirt beneath her. Her eyes slid to the approaching form. His fur was lighter than her own with darker brown points. She didn't recognize him and that eased her mind a little. She had never seen him with those she counted as enemies.

His offer of help came as a surprise. "You would help someone you don't know?" she rasped, her voice weak with exhaustion. It wasn't a direct no. She wasn't going to turn away help. But she was still cautious of his motives.

There was still some minor bleeding but that could be easily tended to. It was that front leg that was really concerning. Something would definitely have to be done about that. It couldn't just be left alone. To heal like that would end up rendering the limb near useless.

"I don't know too many." So if that had to be a prerequisite then he only really had someone whom had no need of his services they Daario lacked a physical form. "You need help. If not me then someone else. You need that leg looked at and set properly or it will never heal right and it will not function properly." After all the medic figured it was the female with the reservations, not himself. "You should also get the other wounds cleaned just to stave off infection." But they were minor compared to the obviously broken limb.

The dizziness was beginning to set in. She knew it was blood loss, pain, and shock and she did what she could to fight it. That took all of the fight out of resisting this stranger. Not that there had been much fight against that to begin with. She was merely cautious, wondering why he would bother to help a perfect stranger. But, she supposed, some where just like that.

The Mire was lacking in truly skilled medics, but there were several who could clean out her wounds well enough. The leg on the other paw...that was something she wasn't sure any of the medics at home could handle. It was a problem. And this stranger was right. If it wasn't treated - and soon - then she would lose the function. "Can it even be fixed?" she asked wryly, looking at the bent and twisted limb that was the only pain she could feel now. It was so strong it overshadowed her other aches.

"Carina can clean the wounds but she can't fix this," Tiamat mumbled, lowering her head as exhaustion continued to pull at her. "If you want to help I won't say no."

His gaze had slipped from the female and to the area around them. It was like being back in the desert with limited resources. But there was aloe here, not the same as he was used to using but the properties should be similar enough. Good, he could use that. And closer to the water was what he had been after in the first place.

His inspection of the area was interrupted by the woman's voice. "It can be. But to be fixed and healed properly has some special requirements attached to it." Sure, he could do the work but if proper care wasn't taken then all of his work would be for nothing. He had told another this some time ago. It is not his first broken limb to be set.

A slight nod was given when the woman acquiesced to his treatment. The pale medic went immediately towards the water. Rather than gathering up the plant that had brought him here he waded into the water instead and snatched up a passing fish. It wasn't the largest fish but it was something. The large lion bowed his head and closed his eyes as he silently prayed over the pescatarian meal and thanked it for its sacrifice.

This was then brought over to lioness and dropped before her. "Eat this. You will need your strength." He didn't wait for a response but immediately traveled back down the beach to collect the cape aloe and the seaweed.

She might be a warrior, but part of being a good warrior was knowing when to listen to a healer. To keep fighting she would need to regain the use of her limb and to do that she would need to be careful while it healed. If she could never fight again - let alone walk normally - she wasn't sure there was a reason to continue to live.

She nodded mutely jn acceptance his words, staring at the offending limb. The mangled appendage was difficult to look at. It almost made her sick, setting off alarm bells in her head that it wasn't natural. She still had a hard time forcing her brain to accept that it was hers. The pain made it clear it was hers, but the shock made it difficult for her to truly comprehend.

As soon as she agreed to let him help her he moved off toward the water. She thought he was leaving, her mind slipping, and she set her head down on the ground, closing her eyes for what she thought was a brief moment. The next thing she knew something was dropped in front of her with a thud and the scent of fish flooded her nostrils.

Blinking her eyes open, Tiamat stared at the fish in confusion. Her stomach growled but her mind said no. It took a moment for his words to sink in before she gingerly tore at the flesh of the fish, eating slowly as her body and mind argued over what she wanted. He'd already gone back to the water as she did so, and she blinked after him, wondering what he would need from there now, or if he was getting more fish.

By the time he would return the meal he had offered herbwould be gone.

Iofiel took a few trips to gather everything that he needed. First he got the aloe and laid it out. He knew he could leave the aloe alone for the time being without having to worry about it going bad. Plus it gave him a chance to make a small incision in the plant so that the exudate could gather at the cut and be ready to use when he needed it.

Next he brought back some driftwood with him. He laid these out next to the lioness's limb to use to measure them. One piece had to be traded out as the length wouldn't work. Once he had a second piece that could work he laid it out next to the first piece and then finally went after the seaweed.

With everything gathered and set out close at hand did he finally focus his attention on the lioness once more. He really wished he had something for the pain but hadn't found anything available in the area. One of the many banes about this time of year.

"This is going to hurt. There is no way that it isn't going to hurt. I am going to have to pull on the limb and get the bones back in the proper place so that it can heal. It is going to have to be wrapped tightly so that it is kept nearly immobile so that the bones don't shift back out of place. You are going to have to stay off your leg as much as possible. You don't want to overuse it until it has time to heal. It will take months to heal fully." He warned the female of what it would take to heal the leg. And then he waited, to make certain she understood or if she wished to back out suddenly. Perhaps she would want someone else, someone she knew and trusted, to tend to her.

She knew it was going to hurt. Oh did she know it. She'd had minor breaks set before but nothing quite this serious. She still doubted if it was even possible for him to get it back into place properly. She polished off the fish while he was still returning with supplies, setting them around her. She knew what the sticks would be used for, but the strange plant he sliced open was a mystery to her.

He discarded one piece of driftwood and she immediately repurposed it, drawing it towards her. She could channel her pain into biting down on the stick when the time came, and avoid biting her own tongue odd by mistake. A part of her mind whispered that trusting some random stranger to fix her leg was foolish, but her options were so limited that she would take this opportunity. None of the Mire medics were skilled enough. Besides, it would be difficult to make her leg worse than it already was. What did she have to lose?

"I'll handle the pain," she said gruffly. It was going hurt either way. She might as well deal with a slightly greater pain and be able to walk again. "I'm Tiamat Anatu, by the way," she said tightly, barely holding herself together. "Can I know the name of the one who's about to put me through the worst pain of my life?" she asked with a wry smile.

The woman was still willing to allow him to go through with the procedure. He really wished he had something to give her for the pain. Even then it there was nothing strong enough for something like what he was about to do so he supposed it really wouldn't matter in the long run. But Iofiel really didn't like harming another.

"Iofiel Nimri. I stay within Andal Oasis." The medic added on his residence just in case she needed to find him again for a follow up appointment. He was figuring that she didn't know too many medics if she was trusting him to do this. Or maybe she was just a trusting individual typically.

Iofiel then sought to grab the lioness's limb so that he could tug it back into place with a swift jerk of his head and manipulation upon the leg with his paw.
