The golden lioness had rarely left the den, only venturing out to use the rest room and pick at the food she was given, and of course visit her child, but for the past view days she cycled between hovering under the furs or going to lay at the back of the den, declaring the furs too warm even though the wind was beating relentlessly outside as if it were some kind of winter monster roaring it's displeasure. Her head lay on the cool ground, her swollen sides moving with her breaths, she wondered if she were sick, thinking she would have to send @Tripfire to tell Beñat that she wouldn't be able to visit.

Her ears pinned back at the thought of Beñat being upset, she couldn't wait for them to move together, somewhere else, most likely to Wolfbron with Trip.

ooc: --- It was rapidly becoming time to bring Beñat home soon, though he didn't really have a home to bring him to. And that frustrated him. Claws clicked against bone of the skull he was sitting on. Something had been troubling his mate lately, and he gave a low sigh. Glaring up at the sky as if it was at fault for his troubles. Shaking his head he moved to return to their den noting she was breathing funny. Moving quickly to gently press his nose to her cheek. "Mon amour what is wrong?" he asked in a soft tone, he had noted her sides had swelled lately and privately wondered if she had eaten something wrong. "talk"

The lioness was still young, she'd never had a true mother to teach her about adult things, she knew very little about sex, and how it could result in pregnancy, but that, that was something she knew nothing about. So why assume she were pregnant, she felt nauseous, barely ate, was too hot, was sleeping allot, honestly it just felt like she were sick.

Her paws ached as did her head, so when he speaks to her, she barely moves, cracking open one eye and looks at him through the tiny crack. On a normal day, she would have greeted him at the door, or atleast lifted her head SC give a loving sentence. I'm just not feeling well.. she down played the way she felt, not wanting him to worry anymore than he already was.

"Well from what I understand growing new life can knock a poor lady on her butt," he spoke gently but a smile had curled on his maw. Unlike her he knew exactly how to bring about new life, and a bit of what came after. To be honest he was very lucky his previous flings hadn't fallen pregnant too. "talk"

Seeing the worry in the eyes of her mate instantly made her feel worse, she flattened her ears and watched as he came over to her, his eyes trailed to her stomach, and she watched his expression go from concerned to only what she could explain as him having an epiphany. She looked quizzically at him for a moment, what in the world was he saying exactly, then it hit her, lower jaw falling, leaving her with a shocked expression, {You don't think..} Her voice was barely above a whisper, she gasped, suddenly all to aware of the changes that were racking her body. @Tripfire had done it, she was with children and they we're Tripfires! She grinned and moved as fast as a sickly. Lioness could, her neck snaking around his mane and pushing. Herself against him.

This wasn't just good news, it was great news, he had done his duty as a husband and now he would have duties as a father ontop of it. And despite how nerve-wracking that could be, he was excited. She came to him and he moved to close to the distance so she need not have walked far. Wrapping an arm around her he nuzzled his nose into her neck inhaling her scent deeply. "Cubs, Pyra, our cubs. Beñat is going to be a big brother," he said with a delighted tone into her neck. If he was protective before, well now he was going to be overly so. This was his family, the start of his own branch and he would never let any harm come to them. "talk"

She had done her duties as a wife right so far it had appeared, she was to be a mother and it overjoyed her, even as sickly as she felt, nothing would take this month away from her clung to her mate and inhaled his scent, Where will we raise them? She pulled away to watch him, head cocked, lilac eyes shining with the pride of a mother.

Beñat, oh how she couldn't wait to tell her sweet child! The love she had for her adopted child was something no one would be able to stamp down, she loved that little boy since she'd found him, no one could deny that Pyracantha had tried to do her best to fill that spot for him, even without really knowing how a mother should act. She went off of instincts, and she felt she was in a good position finally to start with more cubs. How many would she have? Three? One? Six, which was rare but had been known to happen.
