The last time he had been here was when he and @Gabrielle had done their blood union. He hadn't brought Tanaz here to do theirs but he would eventually reunite them on a more official manner. There hadn't been a Devorre of blood ( his children to young perhaps to realize what they were seeing ) to witness the union and it was something that settled uncomfortably with him. But for now it would do as he climbed at a jogging pace up the side of the mountain that would eventually bring him to the Lookout. Ears pushing into his mane to keep from getting cold as he got higher up on the mountains side.

Cloaked with fur from her den, Gabrielle had came here after making the trek to Ecrosia to grab some warmth, with the encounter with her husband's cousin fresh, only hours before. She sat overlooking the cliff side, peering down, wondering about anything and everything, she didn't hear her husband approach, her ears pinned to her head, her tail tip lashed wildly from under the furs. Clear annoyance carved her usually soft features, annoyed at everything it seemed, the pink lioness let out a sigh, she was a little too close to the edge for her liking but she was forcing herself to try and over come petty fears.

Or was she trying to feel something again?

Jogging or jumping the rest of the way up to the look out, Adeodatus would land with a soft crunch of the snow beneath his weight and bloodied jewels would land on the figure before him. A mixture of the Mire, Gauthier and his wife hit his nose and an unexpected growl escaped his jaws as he moved towards @Gabrielle. He noticed how she was close to the edge and he would feel a lip curling upwards in annoyance. Plan on leaving me without a wife? Oh he had another but he didn't call Tanaz a wife per say and he rather treasured Gabby a bit more. And why do you smell of him? His voice was thick of hatred for his cousin.

Gabrielle jumped and a gasp left her throat as she stepped from the edge, her heart beating quickly as she realized just how close she had gotten, she turned her head towards Adeodatus and relief welled up in her eyes. He questioned her which he did have the right to, she had planned on going to see him after she'd thought some more, she hadn't even realized she carried the scent with her.

"No, my love. Just came here to get away for awhile." She replied honestly, moving to go to him, burying her face into his mane, remembering how they had stood here to say their vows, the lioness pinned her ears back, ready to answer his second question.

"He found me asleep near the Stygian Shores, I think he thought I was someone else." She paused and looked to register his face, before letting the full story out, "He snuck up, and I thought it may have been you, in my half asleep phase, trying to surprise me, because I felt breath on my hip and waist, and the purr sounded like yours... I could tell by the warmth his teeth were over me, but he spoke, he has mistaken me for some other lioness."

She pinned her ears back, watching her husband carefully, "I said I was sorry in Romania which only made him more suspicious of me."

He seemed to startle her which only caused her to take a few steps back from the edge and turn to face him, his claws scrapping into the ground beneath his large weight as he stood there watching her with calculating jewels. Ears twitching in his mane constantly, showing his irritation at its fullest and Adeodatus was trying to calm down that was for sure. It was just difficult. Though he stayed silent as @Gabrielle would explain to him what happened, only fueling the anger and hatred he had towards his cousin on a deeper level. It didn't matter if Gauthier had mistaken her as someone else, he had touched her. Be careful around him. He would state bluntly, He may be family to me, but there are things that he has done that is unforgivable.

Gabrielle could feel his hatred swelter as she spoke, she groomed his mane gently, trying to calm him, it wasn't like she's been hurt or as if Gauthier had taken her for himself, so there was no harm done. She tried her best to soothe the anger that overwhelmed her husband, her voice was soft against his fur.

"I didn't tell him who I was, I didn't know how he would react." She spoke softly, her father, a king in their land had always told her to never speak her true identity to those that didn't earn her trust. Maybe the only good thing her father did.

She was trying. Her grooming helped some but not much, and his bloodied jewels even scanned her body to see if Gauthier had harmed her in any way and he saw none, that helped tame some of his anger but his claws still scrapped against the ground, sharpening against the rocks. What helped more was the simple fact that @Gabrielle had not told his cousin who she was exactly and a small sigh formed. Good. Naesarpe help us if he harms you in any way. He would tear him to shreds. Granted that was something he was going to do anyways but that would definitely solidify the outcome and push it to happen a lot sooner perhaps.

Gabrielle pinned her ears back, wondering if Gauthier would have harmed her if he has known she was the wife of the cousin that was out for his blood, she nuzzled into his
Chest and spoke softly, "Maybe it's time I learn how to fight.." She paused to look up to him, Gabby was not a fighter, unless her cubs were involved, that had been clear the day she had found herself at the pit, she needed to be able to protect herself, on the off chance Adeo wasn't able to get to her quick enough.

She stepped back just enough to show him that she was untouched by Gauthier, shirking off the warm pelt for a few to show him fully her uncovered body, she shivered a bit. A thought crept into mind, should she be more careful? How many enemies has Adeo made? How many would go as far as harming her to get back at him?

His anger still boiled on the surface but he was keeping it locked. It was there and ready to explode and anyone could set it off but @Gabrielle did not deserve to have his anger be put out on her, that was the only reason why he hadn't lashed out yet. But it was there. Hearing that she wanted to learn how to fight would catch his attention and Adeodatus would nod at his sun kissed wife. That would be wise. He would comment, even glancing at her coat when she revealed that nothing had happened. Gauthier hadn't touched her and that had been the only thing that kept him at bay even more.

She would nod to his words, her tail flicking behind her, he seemed to look her over again, finally believing she were fine, the lioness thought back to Gauthiers breath on her hips, the way he hungrily growled until realizing his mistake. She shook her head, wandering just who he was mistaking her for. It didn't matter truthfully, but she did question what made the Coves sovereign she'd his icy shell.

Eyes flitted back to her husband and she touched her nose to his shoulder, "why did you come up here?" She stepped back to await his response.
