7 years, no trade bonus, pride tier 2 The little creatures had made a poor decision if their intent was to avoid death, but if they only wished to avoid a slow freezing death in favor of a quick and mostly painless one... well in that case they had picked exactly the right place and time. Morrigan sent a quite chuff over the biting winds to anyone else who might be nearby, just in case she made a fool of herself trying to do this alone. It would never be her strong point and she had made her peace with that a long time ago, but she still enjoyed the hunt. Of course now there would always be that empty feeling of knowing her ranger sister would not be there beside her either.

6 years, no trade bonus, pride tier 2 Among the snowdrifts and the wind of the summit, Talisa could only tare into the bleached world around her and feel like something was amiss. Something was set apart from the world and it truly rattled her bones. A fear that she couldn't quite tame that burned inside like a wisp to her heart. Settling in next to @Morrigan as she gave her best impression of an unworried heart. Clinging to the idea that they could continue to give their thanks to Maua and worship them for their gifts while ignoring this wanderer who had randomly come to be. They didn't need them here.

Thankfully she arrived just in time to see both of her mothers sticking close to one another and both interested in catching a couple easy prey. It was surprising to see only the two of them when their pride was growing in number by the day but she was no less excited. Renly quietly etched her way through the snow to get to the pair before rubbing her shoulder upon her darker coated Mummy before aiming her sights directly upon the unsuspecting little things. Hunting had always been something she saw as a necessary evil; she didn't want to have to end the lives of another being but for this coming winter they had to be prepared.

Tendrils rippled across sunset sides as the umbra paws gripped precarious holds; the small, lithe form jogged toward the hunting party. Upon arrival he notated that both leaders maintained a presence at the gathering. This seemed to please him as ink head ducked politely, revealing the pink forehead beneath multicolored locks.

Mismatched eyes flit to observe the location, noticing tiny deer-like creatures picking their way across the rocks of the mountain. Curious little things, but easy enough prey. If they were quick enough to catch the tiny things they'd have a couple snacks for the cubs. Confidence rose, for he was quick due to his small stature.

There really wasn't much need for the whole pack to descend on such small quarry, just a few others would do the trick and that was exactly who showed up. Her own wife and daughter as well as Archaic. Morrigan was glad that they had so far remained here even though their kin now ruled a pride themselves, and she would at least make the most of their time here to better know them. They had seemed nothing but good allies to have thus far. The small group easily dispatched the unfortunately placed little deer and Morrigan would carrying one of them back to the cache herself, leaving the other to someone else. "Well done, one more meal before real winter hits," she would say to the others before following to the cache. exit morrigan

The meal that they had successfully hunted would normally not count as any sort of high victory. It was a meal set for a day or two, really, but in winter it was one of the most crucial victories. Every meal was a grand one no matter the size or taste because if prey became even more scarce, they would have leftovers to fall back on. So Talisa bowed her head and blessed their food. Bless us, Oh Creator, and these thy gifts, which we are about to receive, from thy bounty, through Maua, Our Creator. This blessing seemed louder than any that she had ever given. Not inappropriately so, but as though she were proving a point. A point that Maua might be able to hear and know that she, and most if not all of her pride and family, were not giving up. Then gave a deep exhale of breath before moving forward to begin taking as much as she could and traveling to the cache with what she could.
